Stevens Creek Heritage Preserve

We have visited this trail twice now. First time was during the summer and we enjoyed ourselves. It was very over grown however and the path is pretty narrow.

Our second visit was early spring and so much more enjoyable! Loved it. Maybe avoid during the summer. Especially if hiking with younger children who might want to walk alongside mom or dad, won't be a good idea with it overgrown.

What an absolutely beautiful preserve! Loop trail was in excellent shape and pretty obvious.

Great place for a 2 mile hike. No facilities.

Lovely little hike. There are a couple of trails, so we will be back to try another loop. Lots of interesting geological features to see.

Easter Sunday. 2023. A fairly significant portion of the trail is underwater down by Stevens Creek. You might wanna give it a day or two after the heavy rains we have had.

Pretty nice hike and only a short drive from Augusta.

This hiking trail is a 1.8 mile loop with a view near the half way point.

2021-12: The area can be missed if you're not paying attention. After driving down the road with random houses and dwellings here and there, the parking area is a small pull-off spot directly across from a house. I visited here for the first time while the ground was covered in leaves. The path was worn just enough to be able to keep track of where it was while covered in leaves. An app like All Trails would be useful to those who are not accustomed to this relatively short trail, or to those who are just starting out with hiking and learning to identify paths, etc.

Beautiful for this time of year, but I would really like to see it in the spring and summer. Easy enough hike for beginners with a lot of wildlife viewing potential. Crossed paths with a few other people who seemed to know the path and were taking their regular walk/hike of the area. I will definitely come back when the spring and summer bring the greenery back to the landscape!

The trail was clear and free from major obstacles, but not marked. We REALLY enjoyed our time here in the peace and quiet of nature, but the entire hike we maybe saw two trial markers. Do not bring any valuables as there is no parking and you'll be leaving your car along the side of a rural road for the duration of your hike.
