Wild Pear Running

We went here with no intention of buying but Dave and Kourtney were kind, informative, attentive and very patient with us. We ended up buying a couple of running shoes. They took their times explaining to us what shoes are best for our running styles. We love that they are not pushy nor sale pitchy, they are clearly passionate about what they do. We were so pumped that we went to Memorial to test them out immediately.

I had a prescription for custom orthotics that would have cost around $3,000. However, since I could think of about 1 million things I would rather spend $3,000 on, my PT told me about a machine that would test the way I stood and walked on my feet and use that information to tell me what (non-custom) shoe insert would work best for me. He gave me the name of two stores in Pearland that had this machine, but I couldn't remember the names, so I did a Google search and found Wild Pear Running. I went there to see if by chance they had this machine, and they did! Trevor welcomed me into the store and was so kind to help me, which I was so thankful for because if I had tried to figure out that machine out on my own, I would probably still be there. :-)
He also picked out some shoes for me to try on that he thought would work well with the inserts. Everyone there was so kind and helpful.
As it turns out, this was not one of the places that my PT had suggested, but I was thankful that it was the first place that I stopped at to find this machine. They were wonderful, they had exactly what I was looking for, and I left there with a pair of shoes and the perfect inserts for my feet in no time flat.

Samuel was very helpful in finding a new pair of shoes. He was very knowledgeable about their product line and got me measured and fitted quickly; I will be coming back for my next pair!

I went with a friend whose foot doctor recommended this store. I wasn't planning on buying but found some comfortable shoes. Best experience! I usually spend all day finding a shoe that even fits. I found 2 pairs. The people are very friendly.

This place is absolutely fabulous!! I got a referral from a customer that came into my store where I work and they highly recommended them. Well last week I went in and Kortni custom fitted me for not only an awesome pair of shoes but socks & compression socks too. I HIGHLY recommend them if you need a great pair of shoes cause your on your feet all day.

I’ve had very good experiences at this store. The employees are very knowledgeable about running and shoe fit . What particularly impressed me was that I bought the new ghost ultra shoe and even before they were released, they had three colors - one in my size. I found out I was running in a half size too small, which I never knew. Also, they don’t jack up the prices for this good service-I couldn’t find these shoes for a penny less on Amazon or at Brooks. Ben really helped me out with my purchase, and he also set me up with a light system, since I’d been running in the dark with nothing. I see no reason to shop anywhere else for my running gear, because this is an all- around great store. 😊

Ben was my sales person. His straight-to-it demeanor sounded like my foot doctor. He kept it to the point while still making me laugh. He measured my feet which hadn’t happened in years. He convinced me that my shoes actually had been too small, depriving me of needed space in the toe box. Magically, he elevated my mind and, my previously unknown foot comfort, to a new high! Instead of 1 pair, I got 2 pairs of Hoka women runners. Ben convinced me I could start running again - GENTLY. Wearing the new ones out of the store, I hated taking them off. Plantar fasciitis has sidelined me for 2022 and this was mind blowing. I even got a 10% discount. Doctor referral. Military service. I love this store!💕

Wild Pear Running never disappoints. The staff and owner are the friendliest people in the world. They take their time to individually fit every customer to the perfect shoe for them. My wife and I both tried on a half dozen shoes each before finding the perfect pair. They were patient and informative through the whole process. If you need serious running shoes, go here!!!!

Are you a runner? Whether you're an avid runner or not, this is the store for you! After running my first 5k, I'm hooked but noticed my ankles and shins were starting to bother me. Today, I learned from Wild Pear Running's team that I have been wearing the wrong shoe size for years! This team is incredibly knowledgeable and very thorough! I have never been fitted before, and honestly, I get very overwhelmed shopping, but not today! This specialty running shoe store is a hidden gem in Pearland! They measure your feet digitally to find the best shoe for feet and also can get you the shoe inserts as well! The have a variety of brands and only the best of the best in comfort! Every time I get my running shoes they always feel like I'm walking in butter-literally! It's truly a therapeutic experience on your feet! 🥰
They also have clothing, sandals, socks and anything for feet

So glad we found this place! My husband and I needed really excellent footwear for a trip to Italy, I've had some foot issues in the past, and we both wanted the best we could find for our feet for all the walking we would do. David was really helpful and personalized our fittings with shoes that were perfect for each of us and are SUPER comfortable! The things they're able to do with athletic shoes nowdays is incredible! I actually went in thinking Hoka's for myself and instead left with a beautiful pair of Asics Nimbus-25, also ordered a second pair in a different color and went back a few weeks later and got a third pair in another color. Two of them went with me and made such a difference. My husband was actually fitted for the exact same shoe and is now considering a second pair for himself as well. This is our new store for athletic shoes!

Super nice and knowledgeable. My daughter had a hard time choosing and they were able to assist in every way possible. Will be back when it’s time for new shoes!

My first time coming here, I was excited to find shoes to help me out during clinicals. Dave was great and helped me find the perfect shoes all while making it a great experience. 100% would recommend.

Just bought my wife new walking shoes (third pair we have purchased here in the past five years). Courteous, knowledgeable, helpful staff. Family run, owner works in store. Wife was able to try on several pairs without being rushed.

I would note that they do not serve only runners, but that they serve nurses, cashiers, hairdressers - anyone who spends a lot of time on their feet.

Kortni did an amazing job fitting me for new shoes. I have an issue with my feet and she was very good taking care of me. She took her time and gave me several pairs to choose from. One pair I wanted they did not have and since I did not live close they are shipping to my house for free. Totally recommend this place.
