Bar-Mel Inn

My son and I stayed here for a few nights for a fishing tournament. It's not a five star hotel but it has the basics and we had a great stay and experience. We will definitely be staying here next year. Great price.

Had to leave my home because of demolition noise and dust. Bar Mel Inn was the closest place to me. The room was spotlessly clean. They allow pets but there was no smell, either pet or a coverup product. The bed was actually a sleep number bed - just what I have at home. Covered with pure white sheets and comforter I was in heaven. Coffeepot, mini microwave and mini refrigerator suited what I needed. Desk with chair. The bath/shower was clean, but looked a bit old. Fresh towels were supplied. Locks on the door make me feel safe during my stay. Parking was available right outside the door. Be aware that there are no amenities such as shampoo, lotion, hair dryer etc. That would not stop me from staying there again. Management was accomadating. I had trouble with the TV and they came to the room immediately after my call. The traffic picked up at 5:30 and it was easy to hear. Bring earplugs or a small fan. The heating works well and is very quiet so that did not block the noise. Highly recommend the Bar-Mel Inn in McCormick, SC off of 378.

The elderly couple at the front desk were delightful with really nice customer service and a fun sense of humor.
The room was simple and so comfortable! Comfy bed. Super comfy comforter.
We had a small fridge and microwave.
The price is super reasonable.
If in this area we will stay here again.

I can't begin to say how much we appreciate Raj and the Bar-Mel Inn at McCormick. This is an older hotel but the rooms are clean, our double beds were comfortable, and Raj was so caring and accommodating every time we have stayed there. We will continue to stay at the Bar-Mel Inn everytime we are in McCormick.

I tell you the TRUTH!! The best place to stay is right here!! The room was SPOTLESS, carpet was CLEANED, no smudges on walls or door frames. WONDERFUL!!! The bed was so comfortable!!! Slept like a baby!!! Sheets clean and fresh! Wifi was good!! But the owner was amazing!!!! Took us to the room to show us around and made sure we seen no problems, turn the air on for us ahead of time. Showed us how to use the bed...you could lift the bed up and down to your comfy level. He was so sweet and caring !!!!! I can't say enough great things about this super nice motel!!! We will stay every time we go to that area. Which is often!!!! Thank you for a wonderful stay!!!!!! VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!

Wow, this Inn has been remodeled over the past several years and is very comfortable, clean, and bug free. The new owners are very accommodating and pleasant and have put much effort into making this Inn better. This is just a nice little country motel. Compared to what it used to be I give it 5 out of 5 stars. We stay here about 10 times a year as we fish the lake often as the boat ramp is just down the road.
Will be returning soon.

We have stayed at the Bar Mel a few times a month for over 10 years on fishing trips to Clarks Hill Lake and have never seen a roach or had a dirty room. ALL I can say now is WOW and nice improvements. The Inn has new owners who care about their place and they are very pleasant and helpful. Boat ramps and restaurants are within 2 to 3 minutes away. This place is not the Holiday Inn, but its the next best thing.I give them 10 stars for improvements, service,and cleanliness. If you're looking for a cozy place to stay, give them a try

First time staying here and would definitely stay again if we are ever in the area. The owner was super nice and walked us to our room. He also inspected the room throughly when he took us to the room to make sure everything was up to standards. The room is super clean and the beds were FANTASTIC. Would highly recommend staying here if you are in the area.

This was my first stay with Raj in the remodeled rooms - the accommodations are great - clean, comfortable, and economical. A BIG plus are the articulating beds - I’ve traveled for work and pleasure a lot and never had a bed with that feature.
Everyone we saw over our two day stay we’re friendly and welcoming. Definitely a place I’ll use in the future. Great value when compared to HKSP rooms.

It's a no frills motel but it provides everything you need for a stay. The rooms are quiet even for being close to a main road. Raj is a polite host and very accommodating.

room was clean. adjustable beds were a nice feature but the service was exceptional. Raj was very accommodating and happy to get us extra towels, ice, show us the room, how everything worked and even where we could take the dog to do her business. will definitely stay again when in the area.

I had a great stay at the Bar Mel Inn, I was touring the area on motorcycle with friends an reserved rooms……we were well received, the rooms were clean and ver comfortable. Raj does a great job as host to ensure your stay is nice! Will use this Inn again on future visits👍🏻

A great hotel to stay a night or a week. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The owners are the best, very helpful and polite. I’ve stayed here for about two weeks for work and will definitely be back the next time in the area.

Would stay again, room was clean and owner was very nice and accomodating. Received deposit back on checkout without any issues, they even let me do a late checkout after 12pm which was kind of them. Would stay again!

Good place for a night or two, very clean. Wish had a coffee maker but otherwise great and "Raji" is very nice and accomadating

They are amazing people I would recommend this motel not a lot of noise besides the road very polite ppl I would love to bring my kids back and especially the dogs they loved it😀
