This is the express restaurant. I get home, opened the box and this is how I found my food. Bread toasted on one side and not the other. My smothered pork chops tasted like flour and water poured over it. I love their food, but this a disappointment.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place! The seafood is outstanding and the portions are LARGE! Definitely will eat here again when back in town. The service is fast and the people are so nice. It was a wonderful experience. You will definitely need a to-go box when you leave.

My wife and I ate here in December before going to the NC Zoo. Tasty food! First time for me trying frogs legs and they did a great job frying them!

Great place for seafood . I love coming here I live and hour away but it’s worth the drive.

After seeing the zoo, we decided to stop here for the first time based on the reviews, and we were not at all disappointed. Our server was incredibly cheerful and hilarious, and our drinks never emptied. Our lunch arrived quickly and was amazing. My husband ordered the Philly Cheese Steak with onion rings, while I ordered the June Burger Special. Both were outstanding. Usually, there isn't room for dessert, but we soldiered on and ordered a small version of the Chocolate Volcano, which is a lot for two people. The resulting sugar coma was totally worth it. We had a wonderful dining experience overall, and everything we tasted was outstanding. Without a doubt, we'll return!

First time eating here. Had dinner and a great waitress. Ordered fried shrimp and chicken tenders, and fried shrimp. So very good. Hushpuppies yummy. Got PLENTY of food. No way you would leave hungry. Bearly a ten minute wait. Fast service.

Although there is a wait on Friday and Saturdays it is well worth the wait. Food is fresh, portions are generous. This restaurant provides a big bang for your money. Every time I have gone I end up taking some of the food home which ultimately means it is two meals which makes it economical as well. The atmosphere is similar to Chilis and other similar restaurants but with a more personal intimate touch. The waitresses are friendly and care about the service as does the owner.

Ate here with my parents for the first time after a zoo trip based on the recommendation of a friend, and we were absolutely not disappointed. The service was phenomenal - our waitress was very friendly, very funny, and our drinks never went empty. Our food came out fast and was fresh and delicious. Their fried seafood (I got popcorn shrimp, clam strips, and oysters) was the best I've had in the area, and could seriously compete with a lot of restaurants along the coast. My mom loved her Philly cheese steak, and the quality of the meat was fantastic. My dad got a rib platter with whitefish and it was amazing as well - he was especially fond of the fried fish. The portions we received were huge - enough for multiple meals and some really great leftovers for lunch the next day. Everything we tried was exceptional, and we had a great dining experience across the board. We'll definitely be back!

Went for my birthday! Got the surf and turf, steak, popcorn shrimp, baked potato, beans, toast, and a salad. So much food and it all was amazing! So delicious! ❤

This is our go to place for seafood! The slaw is to die for. Great service and polite staff. Drinks constantly filled! The music playing in the background is a plus! Clean dinning area and restrooms. Definately recommend!

Great place to eat. Extremely busy, but got seated within 15 minutes. Service was exceptional and food was fantastic. Look forward to eating there again.

This was our first time here since we moved to Asheboro. It's been busy pretty much every time we've driven by and this time we were able to get in where there was at least a few parking spots available. I wasn't prepared for how good it was based on some of the pictures that people have posted. The food is really really like. Really good. So good. I expected greasy spoon food and I did not get that. We didn't get that at all I had the special 10 oz New York strip medium rare. It was spot on with a baked potato and the beans, Texas toast and the salad. The salad was cold and crisp and delicious as well as the rest of the dinner. My two grandsons had the fish dinner for kids. They ate that up so much and given that they're three and five they ate as much as they possibly could and were full and content at the end of the meal. My other grandchild had the pork chops and the serving size is so big. She's still had stuff left over. Both of my kids had the beef tips and were impressed with how the meat was prepared and how these cooks that are back there hats off to them because they know how to cook meat. Great job! We will be coming again... And again... And again!!

Such a great restaurant. Our whole family got a variety from spaghetti, tour of Italy, baked potato, flounder plate & cheese fries. Everyone loved their food and our waitress was fantastic. 10/10

This place is great. Do you want a seafood restaurant where fried fish, shrimp, scallops and oysters are on the menu? This is the place you're looking for. Do you have picky children? They've got huge chicken fingers. Does someone always want steak? They have those too. Love this place. We meet our inlaws here because it's roughly halfway.

No better food around, cheap prices for large quantities! Great tasting & great prices!

This place is awesome for any meal lunch breakfast or dinner, I got the seafood platter it had fish scallops shrimp popcorn shrimp and fried cheese curds with french fries way too much for one person

It is a great place to eat service was great staff was very polite smiled and was very nice food was great we left full and satisfied will definitely be going back steaks was awesome

When you come to or pass through Asheboro, NC be sure to stop at American Roadhouse restaurant. They serve a variety of dishes which includes exotic dishes of frog legs, alligator tail and bison burgers. Definitely one of my favorite places to eat. The owners strive to please and provide fresh quality foods - their homemade potato soup is guaranteed to delight on a cold day.

I get carry-out here about once a week, or once every other week and I am always pleased. The carry-out staff is kind and courteous and always friendly. Also best steaks in town!!
