Port Land Grille

This was our first time visiting and I have to say I’m very impressed with this restaurant. Food was phenomenal and their service was excellent l. Mr Calvin was such a darling! He made us feel at home. He took his time and explained dishes we were interested in. The food was served fresh and in a perfect timely manner. I highly recommend and we will definitely be back.

I've only been there 3 times and everytime it's been outstanding! The food is so delicious and has such unique flavors! They have a large wine selection, and the menu has all different types of food! My favorite two entrees I've had was the halibut with a tomato risotto and beef tenderloin with lobster butter! Their tuna tartare starter is amazing as well! Definitely recommend for a date night, a family dinner, or if you're just visiting the area!

First time at Port Land Grille, and the service was impeccable, the manager (Eric) came by several times to check if we were enjoying the food and if there was anything we needed. The food was amazing. I had the spinach and chicken lasagna and my boyfriend had rib eye steak (which by the way was cooked perfect) , we shared a spinach and pear salad , I highly recommend it and we also shared crab cake. 10 out of 10. The servings were very generous and the cost I believe was comparable with other restaurants in the area. We will definitely be going back. Thanks to all the staff for their great service.

The ambience, service, drinks and food are always excellent. The courses are timed perfectly. I forgot to take a picture of the salad but it was delicious. They got extra points from me this year for their butterscotch cheesecake! It was outrageous!!!

Finally! My husband and I, made it out here “Saturday Night” after so many attempts of planning. It was a last-minute plan to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary and it is worth it we came. The food is spectacular ~ 5 ⭐ all the way! 💯

The food and smells of a wood fire grill bring back memories. Great job guys! We will be back for sure!

* PLG’S ANGUS BEEF TENDERLOIN TARTARE with capers, onion, cornichons, mustard & crostini.

* PLG’s “STEAK KNIFE” SOUTHERN WEDGE SALAD chilled wedge of iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, carrots, uncured bacon, green onions and our famous chunky buttermilk blue cheese dressing.

Entrees:
* Pan-seared MONKFISH ~ shrimp & crawfish succotash, Southern style stone ground grits, pimento cheese butter.

* USDA PRIME GRADE BLACK ANGUS BEEF RIBEYE STEAK 16 oz ~ garlic smashed fingerling potatoes & grilled asparagus topped with lobster-tarragon butter.

Dessert:
* NOT YOUR ORDINARY COCONUT CAKE – with a pistachio crème anglaise.

Drinks:
* Red wine 🍷 (server recommended just forgot the name)🤩 it was fantastic!

We took our dog to a blessing of the animals service and afterwards decided to enjoy dinner outside at Portland. The staff was so gracious with us having our poodle at dinner! Brought us water in a to go container for him! The food was delicious! We had baked oysters and the crab cake over limas!

This place has been important to my family for years. My first visit was for my aunt and uncle's wedding reception more than 15 years ago. I returned many times over the years to enjoy the fantastic food and even better service. This past year, I decided to have my own wedding reception here. The food is great but it is the service that keeps me and my family coming back. Its as well run as any place I have ever been and it shows up in the little things, the details. I was just there again a couple of weeks ago and I cant wait until next time!

Perfectly grilled to medium rare ribeyes, thoroughly seasoned and extremely tender. Uniquely paired with lobster butter and the classic grilled asparagus and smashed fingerling potatoes. Great indoor and outdoor atmosphere and excellent service. Very memorable place.

Fabulous in every way. Service by Calvin & Adrienne was flawless---friendly, knowledgeable & not hurried at all. Food was prepared and plated with full attention to detail. Chilean Sea Bass ordered by both of us----but 2 different yet equally delicious preparations. Dessert of chocolate chess pie and coconut cake was Heavenly! And if you love wine and cocktails, you cannot beat their wine, liquor and cordial list. Our 1st visit on a friend's recommendation & we will be back for sure!

Delicious food.. service was awesome. Well the second time was just as good or better then the first. The steak was like butter. I just loved the peach bread pudding which was new on the menu.. service was great!!

My daughter's and I had the pleasure to have dinner here last Saturday evening for Mother's Day weekend. The service and food was impeccable! We enjoyed everything from drinks, appetizers, entrées and desserts. We had reservations, arrived on time and was seated almost immediately. The food and prices are well worth it. It reminds me of The Angus Barn in Raleigh. When we are back in the area we definitely will be back. The negative comments must be from negative people or don't appreciate fine dinning. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Generous portions of appetizers and dinner. Absolutely delicious, and our server Joe was very attentive throughout our meal making sure we were happy with everything. We'll definitely be back!

Our waiter Brandon was great and very accommodating to my dairy allergy and helped me find out what things were safe to eat! The food was phenomenal and will definitely be coming back.

We had a delightful dinner at Port Land Grille and recommend it highly. We dine out often in Washington and NY and have relatively high standards and we were truly impressed by both the kitchen and dining room. The menu is broad enough for any tastes and little service items such as removing cutlerly and replacing with appropriate pieces (appropriate for each persons next course) was noted and truly appreciated. Both meat and vegatable courses received equal attention and protein quality and depth of seasoning were excellent. One minor glitch (the temperature of one main) was quickly and professionally handled by the manager without even requesting it. The winelist is outstanding and largely North American with excellent by the glass options of different size pours. Desserts, prepared by an inhouse pastry chef were a highlight. We will be dining there on our next trip to Wilmington, it's a rare treat!

This place is on point! Very elegant, and the food was 5 star from appetizers to entree and dessert. Definitely will come back. I had the blackened mahi, and my husband had the pekin duck. We also had dessert and coffee, delectable!

My husband and I had dinner at Portland Grille to celebrate his birthday. We were greeted by the manager and quickly shown our table. Our server, Bob, was kind, responsive and helpful. We shared a wedge salad and then my husband had the filet mignon and it was cooked perfectly. I had the grouper and it was seasoned very well. We both loved our dishes. As Bob suggested, we saved room for dessert and got the homemade coconut cake. It was amazing! We really appreciated the responsive and personal service, and the excellent quality of the dishes. A perfect place to celebrate a special occasion! Thank you Anne!

4 of us went for dinner and had a great experience. Waiter was a delight and seemed to enjoy what he was doing. The wine, food, dessert all were great and think this is my favorite restaurant in Wilmington

Portland grille has THE best service in the Wilmington/WB area. Brandon is very knowledgeable of the menu updates and always gives great recommendations for food, drinks and pairings. Somehow, we always get him as our server but we couldn’t ask for anyone better to assist with our ultimate dining experience. This will always be the place to go for phenomenal food, service and the ultimate dining experience. 10/10
