I love this place and these girls! The ladies of Monkees Wilmington are so inviting and friendly to their customers. I never leave the store without a fresh item that suits my style!

Love this Monkee’s! All the girls are so sweet and helpful. I think this boutique has the best shoes and designer clothes in Wilmington. My girls and I can always find the best jewelry and accessories!!

Fantastic experience! Helpful and friendly staff, and they have real a real great selection of cloths, shoes, accessories (eg Tom Ford sunglasses), and limited home accessories (eg unique candles, salt/pepper shakers). They have nice American brands, but unique European brands as well. Highly recommend!!

My daughter and Grandaughter have shopped Monkees stores before and said we just have to stop at the boutique in Wilmington. Very friendly and helpful ladies made me feel like we were old friends. Loving my purchase.

Nice place but very pricey

Pleasant and helpful.

The selection of brands and styles are awesome. However like other reviewers I have not found the customer service adequate for the premium prices and brands. For example on several different shopping experiences I asked for alternative sizes ready to buy the retail (overpriced but fashionable) item. No help. I even asked if it could be ordered or brought from another store and then the lack of help began. Lastly, during my last purchase I was not offered gift wrapping (the holiday wrap stand is there) and one of my $90 gift items came in a rough looking old box as if it had been in the store years or was a “second”. Please get more sizes in shoes, boots and clothing items. Offer to order since you lost my sales to online retailers with the same products in the size I needed. Consider matching service level to your price level.

Great place to get the vintage bag for your wife or girlfriend! They carry other accessories for her as well.

I am not from here, I stopped by to pick up a gift for my wife, I was greeted but the sales clerk gave me a strange look. I started to shop and another clerk did the same thing . I began to feel like I wasn't welcome in this store. I made a purchase for my wife and would have spent more but the snooty attitude was a real deal breaker and I left. I just went next door to the Gentleman Corner and made a large purchase. Lady's be careful how you treat a man when he is shopping for his wife

Really over priced items. I own a gift store and the beaded clutches they sell for almost $200 cost them $40-70 wholesale. Rattan handbag on amazon for $45 in store $125. They cater to the richy rich crowd who dont look at price tags. Plus if you don't look the part they dont even ask if you need help. Even if looking a long time at shoes. No expressed interest if need a size to try on. I think they dont want the great unwashed to spoil their image. God forbid if you told someone you bought it at Monkees where and you were not worthy.

I came in today from out of town in Raleigh and I know what Monkees is because we have one in Raleigh that I shop in. I came in the store with a MCM bag and Prada sunglasses and I was not even greeted or asked if I needed help at all, they were not even busy either. I had 5 credit cards on me and I already own many of the brands they carry.

I was in the store recently and was pretty much ignored by everyone except a young girl who said “Hi” when I entered.

I have frequented this store several times purchasing clothing and gifts. I have never found the staff particularly friendly, however my experience yesterday left me feeling awful. The store was not busy. I was the only customer for a while and I was briefly greeting by an employee who helped me get a fitting room started. I was picking out several dresses to try on when I turned to three women who were talking near the rack, one whom I believe is the owner, to ask for assistance and a recommendation. One of the women I was addressing, visibly and deliberately turned her back on me and stood facing towards the back wall while I was speaking like I was not even worth her attention. It was the most blatant and humiliating mean girl experience. I was so shocked, I stopped speaking and put my selection back and left. I walked next door to Island Passage where the staff had kindly helped me earlier, and made a purchase. The woman from Monkees walked into Island Passage and issued an apology to me, which I appreciate, but the interaction left me shaken in way I have not experienced in decades.
