Horneytown Guns & Ammo

Nice little gun shop. They have ammo and a fairly decent size selection of firearms for sale. Staff is friendly and helpful. Conveniently located next to a gas station and tire shop. Wes-mar gun range is also right down the road.

Just picked up a M and P .22 from this shop. Great service, answered all my questions, put up with me drooling over it multiple times, AND gave me a good deal to boot. Small shop, but really customer oriented! They will get more business from me!

I just called them about a FFL transfer, they were very friendly and so far have the lowest transfer cost in the area at $20! Will being doing future business with them.

Good selection of stock, especially for what's essentially a 'hole in the wall' store. Stock appears to be mostly used firearms, and the stock rotates on occasion, so if you don't find anything you're looking for, just wait awhile and come back again. Additionally, there is plenty of side merch, ranging from bolts, kits, cases, and apparel for those wishing to make a statement. Overall, this, along with the rest of horneytown is a small business worth supporting.

Hardly ever open. Sold me a gun and said it was new with a lifetime warranty. Gun was discontinued and I can’t register it with Taurus. They’re never open to answer phone and don’t back up statements made at and after sale. Won’t buy guns from them again.

Been there 4 separate times during "business hours" and it is never open. Would be a place I would frequent where I only live a half mile away. Guess ill make the commute to Greensboro gun shops where I know they'll be open when they say they will.

They suck, sold me a Rem 770 for $400, got home and found out they are $300 anywhere else. Then went to sight it in and after the first shot the bolt was stuck. Yanked it loose and it came past the stop all the way out of the gun. Out of five shots misfired twice. Called them up about it and they basically told me I was stuck with it, did say they would check with the manufacturer and call me back but never did.
