We were craving bbq after a nice long hike, this hit the spot! Fast, friendly, and the food was fantastic! My husband decided to try the smoked chicken salad plate (mac & cheese) and while I went with the pulled pork plate (collard greens & fries) along with a basket of fried okra! It was all great! We were able to sit out side with our furry sidekick and still hear and enjoy the live music from inside. Great atmosphere! We will be back!

Whether enjoying great music over lunch or meeting friends for a cocktail or beer, you will enjoy the experience. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is cozy. Cool little bar! They have good craft beer and good cocktails! They also serve dinner which you must try if you are in the area. Every Thursday night they have live music outside weather permitting. They always have Music Inside too. Nice area, there's a couple other stores with local Pottery (lots) and artwork!

Stopped in for dinner based on Google reviews, the food did not disappoint. The BBQ is very good and didn't need any sauce at all. Sides were on point. I am so glad we found this place on a Saturday evening. The atmosphere has a laid back vibe and everyone is quite friendly..

A spectacular BBQ restaurant and general store that should be on everyone’s North Carolina BBQ bucket list! The pulled pork is top notch and don’t miss the smoked chicken salad! All the sides were delicious including the house made Brunswick stew. They have live music on weekends and you may even see a little Cloggin’! Highly recommend!!

By far, one of the best experiences that I ever had in USA. Delicious food and a great, great, great, GREAT band playing local music. Amazing.

Great history lesson with a lunch period included.
Had lunch during a rain storm, entertained by some local talent.
The hush puppies were awesome, and their craft beer selection was representing their local brewers.
I had the BBQ sandwich that had a great smoke favor but over powered by the thick fluffy bun. No slaw was offered!
Not a fan of the 2 house sauces offered by the server. The spicy vinegar was ok, the other was like a Kansas City sauce.
Wonderful place to visit while
in the mountains.

I can't really rate it. Because I did not eat there. But it was a long line waiting for food. Usually a good sign. Plenty of seating inside and out. In addition there are about 10 seats that wrap around a little bar area. It's a nice lil shop up front. Souvenirs and local stuff

I love this place for its antiquated building. This restaurant is located away from any hustle and bustle. The menu is southern comfort food offering bbq pulled pork and smoked chicken. I had the smoked pork plate with bbq style baked beans and fresh homemade potato salad which all were delicious. They've got fried okra, green beans, collards, mac and cheese, cole slaw and a variety of other choices. This is not a full service establishment. You give your order at the counter, pay and you fill and refill your drink. There's indoor and outdoor seating and dogs are welcome. They advertise live music here as well and there is a quaint bar area that appears to offer spirits and brews. They sell jams and honey and some souvenirs as well.

Very nice place and food. I had a pulled pork plate with coleslaw and fries. Pork and salad were delicious! My children also liked their hot dogs. After eating we seated in the back. Really nice and quiet.

Great food. Good music. Great people. This was an accidental find on our way back from Boone. It is like a old time family reunion/pig picking for BBQ enthusiasts. Well done and served quick. Order in the line. Wait for your food to pop up, grab a table inside or out. Next time, and there will be one or more, I will try the pork rinds made on site with their homemade pimento cheese.

Very good bbq. The greens were great. Normally mac and cheese is mid at bbq places but theirs was A+. They also sell beer, wine and liquor which is nice.

Currently eating their pork skins with pimento cheese and the seasoning is perfection. I haven't been in awhile but it seems like they're making some good changes like the addition of a bar and a ton of outdoor seating.

This place is a hidden gem! We stopped here on whim as we were passing through this small town. Such a cute place with amazing super friendly workers and customers. Oh and the bbq is amazing! Little bar in the back with a great selection of beers and liquor. Don’t pass this place if you’re hungry!

We had such a great time...who would have thought it would be so on a Thursday night! Beer was delicious, I really liked the velvet panda by Kettel. Music and the table company were better than expected.
