Very nice people. They take practically anything hassle free. You can even dispose of paint here. I used to drive from Columbus to Aberdeen just to avoid the headache of the Columbus dump which gets -5 starts in my book.

I have been there several times and they are always very nice and helpful. I called this morning with a question and got an answer right away. Thank you.

I have, along with several others have contacted Monroe County Solid Waste and District 3 Supervisor Rubel West about individuals not having a garbage can, these people share can’s (with or without permission), have for almost a year. We had the same problem with another individual that took months to get them a garbage can. Yet they charge us monthly. I’ve learned that buying MS car tags for people coming from Lamar County Alabama don’t happen, got people living here near the Marina that’s been here 5 or 6 years, sleep here each night but their auto’s have cheaper Alabama tags along with no garbage can. I guess this falls in the same category as locks…..locks are only good for honest people……these people should be held accountable but they won’t. Look at the tax money and garbage fees the county is missing simply by not doing their job.

Today Monroe County Solid waste, even though my bill in my name was paid in full, held me accountable for a bill of $533 in someone else's name that lived there in 2010. I could not get the tag for my car until it was paid. Even though I have gotten my tags for the last 10 year's at this address, since 2011. They held a responsible person accountable for an irresponsible person's actions. Now the responsible person is broke while the irresponsible person's bill is paid in full.
