I just took my 1970 Impala convertible to Niche Motorsports for a small project of brakes and a tune-up. They're new to town, I've seen the shop as they've been preparing to open, but aside from assuming they were a classic auto shop I knew nothing else about them. When dealing with specialty and classic collector car shops, you expect the work to be expensive, and in my experience most other local shops aren't even interested in your project if it isn't a big budget restoration. More often than not, these kinds of projects are "if you have to ask, you don't need to know" pricing. Not so for Niche! I didn't have a big budget to spend but they took my car in and treated me like I was having a $50,000 restoration done.

They were in constant communication throughout the project, explained every step to me and didn't "gouge" me by needlessly replacing parts that could be reused. They were more than reasonable on their rates and to my pleasant surprise they came in under budget for the project!! If you know classic cars, that almost never happens. Kevin and Tim took the time to understand what was most important to me and prioritize the work accordingly so I could maximize what I spent, they made some recommendations for future work and were very transparent about what was more important and what could wait. The shop is absolutely immaculate, exactly what you want to see when someone is working on a classic car, as most classic car owners are very particular about their cars. It’s worth a trip to the shop just to see some of the fantastic projects they have going on in house!

In short, Niche was top-shelf all the way around and it's obvious they care about their work and the reputation of the business. The work speaks for itself, and they have definitely gained a customer and an advocate. Niche will be the only shop that will touch my 1970 Impala to in the future. I'm excited to have Niche Motorsports in Hampstead!!!

Perfection!!!! We have a 1969 all original F100 that’s been in the family since new that we pulled out of the basement to bring back to life. It’s been garage kept it’s entire life and was last inspected in November of 1988. Needless to say we wouldn’t trust just anyone working on this beauty, but the guys at Niche got it done with absolute perfection!! Disk brake conversion, electrical repairs, overdrive transmission repair, and they got it tuned better than it’s probably ever been. Fires up instantly!!
If you want it done right, take it to Niche Motorsports!!!

These guys are the BEST. Have a 77 VW bus that needed some work, they got me in right away, fixed the problem and the price was reasonable. Could not have asked for anything more.. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

Terrible customer service experience from start to finish. Expected a $1000 bill, showed up to shop with a $2300 one. Still having issues with the same items as well.

Reply to owners response;
You are replying with completely inaccurate information to mislead potential future customers and make it seem like I am an unreasonable person. Let me clarify. I showed my frustration and confusion to you and your shop employees when picking up the car and no one seemed to care. After that I left a negative review, and you called stating you would take care of the situation because you agreed what you and your shop did was wrong. I was never notified about any price increases and your shop started repairing the AC when my only concerns were with the engine drive ability. You actually threw you own staff under the buss, stating "I can't control my staff, I can't do everything around here." On your reply to my review you say you invited me back to the shop to discuss the concerns.....we had several conversations after pickup about my concerns. I do not want you working on my vehicle again, that is why I did not return to the shop. All I asked for was for a partial refund of some kind, of course not a full one because you did do some work and put on parts, but I think anything would be better than nothing. You also say you gave me another proposal for future work??? That never happened, we have never talked about any other work on the vehicle. How do you know my budget or expectations?? The work is being performed elsewhere currently. All in all, my experience was terrible and you did not provide a satisfactory remedy or even act like you care. Then you lie on the review reply.
