Troy is the best dentist I have ever been to. He worked tirelessly on my “toddler sized” mouth… his entire staff are extremely warm and professional. What a great addition to our high country team of dentist. I highly recommend them.

Dr. Hoover is an amazing dentist and Dana is an awesome hygienist . They both are very friendly and gentle and very good at their work. Plus all of his staff are wonderful and very helpful. The best dental experience I have ever had. So happy with all of my visits.

Dr. Hoover and his entire staff are phenomenal. From the time you enter and depart the office everyone is pleasant, personable, and professional. I trust Dr. Hoover and his decisions concerning my dental care. He considers all options to render the best care possible. Additionally, on staff he has a periodontist, Dr. Joan Schmitt, who can attend to issues that relate to this realm. . She and Dr. Hoover coordinate their expertise to make the best decisions for patients needing specialized care.
When I call there I am listened to and response to my concerns are quickly addressed . I am greeted warmly and seriously, and can expect response time within hours , not days. Finally, the person taking care of all the insurance is Dr. Hoover’s spouse. She is as attentive to details of that area with as much concern as he has for dental health.
I cannot be more pleased with the staff at Dr. Troy Hoover’s dental practice. I am so thankful for all of the staff!

BEST DENTIST EVER!!! I have been to several dentist in my 56 years, and by far Dr. Hoover is the best dentist I’ve ever seen! Painless, quick, inexpensive, and the staff is so welcoming and friendly. Thanks to everyone in the Linville, NC office and an extra thanks to April in the Elizabethton, TN office!

Went today to have some teeth pulled...was just gonna have 3 but ended up with 6.. and the doc.was absolutely amazing! Felt no pain what so ever! The staff was amazing! Would def recommend them to anyone who needs dental work! And prices are reasonable!

Had 4 teeth pulled today 2 being wisdom teeth and was extremely nervous. Dr.hoover had an excellent attitude and made me feel comfortable with what was goin on. This will be my dentist for anything I need in the future and highly recommend him to anybody looking for a dentist. Here it is 10 hours later the numb has wore off and I'm not hurting as bad as I thought I would be! Excellent job from the front desk as well and extremely reasonable pricing!

Dr. Hoover is absolutely the BEST dentist! Completely painless, very professional yet puts you a ease as soon as you sit down in his chair. The office/staff ladies are as exceptional as Dr. Hoover. The best choice to make for dental extraction.

Dr. Hoover is so friendly and instantly put me to ease! I had 15 teeth removed and a plate put in. It’s been 14 hrs after and so far I feel great! I highly recommend him! His prices can’t be beat! I’m a forever patient!

I have never been happier to get my front tooth fixed, and Dr. Hoover did an excellent job. The staff is super friendly, the office is very clean, and the staff are extremely efficient. Highly recommended!

I went 2 weeks in a row to Dr Hoover to get a total of 7 teeth extracted. Both times hardly any pain afterwards & everyone in the office was so nice. Dr Hoover also gave me some great advice on looking after the teeth I have left & they also let my wife sit in the room while I was being worked on. Great Price too. I never thought a trip to the dentist would be as pleasant as it was.!
Updated 8/23/2019 - Had to go back to Dr Hoover on 8/19/2019 for a tooth abscess. Again hardly any pain, Dr Hoovers pain management is great as well as his assistant. I was worried also as the tooth was badly decayed that it would break but Dr Hoover got the tooth all out easy peasy lol. No pain after needles wore of or the next day. I honestly cannot recommend Dr Hoover highly enough.

Absolutely the best care at a reasonable price. You're treated with dignity knowing you're not just a number and they're not just about money! Very kind, gentle and patient staff. You'll leave feeling better with a very informative treatment plan.

I had an extraction done yesterday and Dr. HOOVER DDS was absolutely wonderful. Minimal pain and his bedside manner was amazing. I will never go anywhere else to have my mouth worked on. His staff was so nice and empathetic.

I chipped two of my front teeth and Dr. Hoover checked my teeth and told me what would have to be done for free within 5 minutes of walking into his office. I scheduled an appointment and had my teeth repaired to better than they were before I chipped them. The entire process when I walked in the door took no more than 30 minutes and there was no pain whatsoever. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone else in the future.

I had to have bone contouring done. DR. HOOVER was wonderful! I was sedated. However afterwards there was little to no pain! He has the best "chair side" manner and his staff are very nice and helpful! I would highly recommend! You are treated with RESPECT!
