Holiday Inn Express St Louis - Central West End, an IHG Hotel

My family recently stayed at this hotel and was very pleased with everything about it! The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was a “Grab and Go” so I was not expecting a lot but there were many choices to choose from. The best part about our stay though was the staff! Everyone was so very friendly and helpful! Michelle was very efficient when checking us in and Jordan went above and beyond in making us feel welcome! The employee I met in the breakfast area that morning was so pleasant and wanted to make sure everyone was taken care of (I thought the name tag said Jon but my husband said it was Dan) ? ? Thank you to each of you for making our stay such a pleasant experience!

Excellent service, clean, modern, but also unique as this hotel is on the national historic registry. I've stayed here several times since 2011 when it was a boutique hotel and it maintains consistent in it's overall top notch standards. This particular time was no different. I had made a mistake in my booking so when I arrived there was no room. Jordan was very kind, professional, and gracious and took care of me. I truly appreciate this level of care in customer service. He and the staff there deserve all the kudos (& a probably raise)!

Clean Rooms --- Good location --- Garage was safe --- Continental Breakfast -- Great service.
Michelle was at the front desk when we check it in, and she was great answered all our questions and helped us figure out how to navigate to the parking garage because of construction.
General manager was helpful during checkout.
Room was clean and had a balcony with small table and chairs.
Continental Breakfast had different types of choices but just one microwave so you had to wait to warm up your food.
In general a good experience. Will go back.

We came on a holiday weekend when the hotel and parking lot were quite busy. One of the employees, Jordan went above and beyond to help us find a parking spot on property to stay overnight when all the other spots were full. We also observed him doing an excellent job taking care of other guests, all while he had a broken foot.

As far as the hotel itself, our room and the hotel have been remodeled recently and they look great. Great value for the location

Great location, easy check in and check out. Most problems I had were manageable for a short stay or handled quickly and easily by staff.

Corey was an absolutely rock star at the front desk and went out of his way to make sure our stay was a good one! 10/10 for Corey!

Everything as expected at a HI-Express……..except the hot breakfast. They are building a “real” restaurant on location and they are NOT serving the expected hot breakfast. I will say that breakfast is the #1 reason I look to stay at HI-Express. So, not the idea stay for me. But, location and room and service was good.

Loved this hotel! Very clean - there was no creepy hotel carpet in the room, instead it was a woven vinyl-like tile flooring. Shower was luxurious and so spacious. I have never looked forward to showering that much! Free wifi and breakfast provided, but wifi is a little slow for streaming. The breakfast is also get-and-go instead of a continental breakfast. Great location and cleanliness overall. Would recommend staying here if you are ever in St. Louis!

Nicest holiday inn express that I've been to. Very quiet, very convenient, and very reasonable parking price. Was also able to walk to numerous restuarants and places near by.

The location is perfect - nice area, walking distance to Forest Park, Whole Foods, and an abundance of restaurants and bars. 12 minutes walk to the metro station that will conveniently take you to the airport or riverfront district. The room was perfectly clean, had a nice walk-in shower and all the essentials. Grab and go breakfast is included with the stay. Highly recommend.

TWO WORDS!!!! JORDAN E. He was the ABSOLUTE best thing that has ever happened to any holiday inn express, best individual person ive dealt with in customer service OR hotels in general, and I've stayed at more than I can count because my fiance travels for a living, and he hands down turned this extremely devastating trip into a joyous one. My extremely physically handicapped mother and I had to visit a VERY dear family member staying at Barnes Jewish hotel in critical condition, and drove for 4+ hours from our home in Arkansas on a whim. Jordan was an absolute GEM from the second I called him from the parking lot (because we couldn't find a hotel, and I didn't want to get mom out until I knew we found the one) and EVEN BETTER the second we walked in to see his smiling face. He not only helped us find a room, signed us up for rewards, found the best room to cater to my mom's lack of mobility, BUT HE EVEN WALKED US TO THE ROOM!!!! He went above and beyond for us, even when he didn't have to. The next morning (a few hours ago) he even came up to me at breakfast with the biggest hug and smile, and that really meant a lot because we are going through a lot of emotions because of our family member. We will have to come back when I have a few days off from work to come back to check up/visit without family member (God willing), and with how close and easy this is to the hospital, and MAINLY JORDAN E., we will definitely be coming back to this location. My only issue was more of a me thing, if you are allergic to animals please please please bring some allergy meds and be more prepared than I was/am. Other than that.... the entire staff and just warm feelings that Jordan (and the rest of the staff was also SO nice) is a 10 put of 10 experience. 🥰🥰🥰💙

This was my 2 nd visit to this Holiday Inn Express. I came back because of my 1 st visit. This visit the young lady at reception lacked a welcoming demeanor. She was not rude, just not welcoming or friendly. All other staff smiled, welcomed us, helpful, and thanked us for staying with them. The young lady who registered us needs a lot of training in customer service.
Room very comfortable. Had a balcony with a view of a courtyard. Coffee in room. The best part about this hotel is the shower. They have the best showers in any hotel I have stayed. Even better than 4-5 Star hotels. Bed comfortable and toiletries very nice. The offer Zenlogic products.
Free breakfast is a grab and go. They have a great variety of foods. Better than many hotels I have stayed that offered a free breakfast.
When staying in St Louis and looking for a clean, comfortable, friendly place to stay on a budget, I highly recommend this hotel.

Absolutely, positively, without exception one of the most beautiful and best designed Holiday Inn Express hotels I have stayed in, Ever!! I didn't know about the "Indigo" branding, but this hotel is wonderful. The decor is pleasing and natural. The original building was the first motel built in St. Louis. The most recent rehabilitation has occurred during the beginning of 2023. The care, design, and attention to the surrounding architecture is amazing!! The hallways, rooms and bathrooms are Five Star! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This hotel has the best rooms in the entire Mid-West. I am not over describing the special and unique qualities, I am just amazed at how much care and attention was put into the rehab of this hotel. You will feel special when staying here. We were lucky and had Dori check us into the hotel and she explained the wonderful details of this historic building and neighborhood. We were also lucky to meet Mike, the most cheerful, polite, and knowledgeable staff member Ever! Congratulations to Holiday Inn for bringing together a wonderful building and Fantastic people! 🤗⭐🇺🇸

We stayed here for our sons visit at the children’s hospital. Great location and a nice clean room. Jamal was the best he needs a raise!!!

We have stayed in several hotels in the area. This is our top pick as it’s location, cleanliness, decor, and even spaciousness can’t be beat. The staff has done an amazing job at making us feel like we matter, we look forward to staying again.

Very nice modern rooms. Ours had a nice balcony with a nice bistro set to sit on.
Safe location within walking distance to many shops and restaurants. Gated Underground garage parking and above ground parking also available.

The building was the first motel in St Louis. We stayed in a suite and were very comfortable. The breakfast was a grab and go, which I didn't really care for. I'm not sure if they are remodeling to add a breakfast room.

Jordan at the front desk was super helpful and very friendly. I'm going to go out on a limb and assume this guy deserves a raise!

I stay at this location when I have multiple doctor's appointments at BJC-WASHU. They're close by and always have clean rooms and affordable prices.

I want to start off by saying — I am a MAJOR CLEAN FREAK. Therefore, hotels are my worst nightmare because of all the horrible stories I have heard. This hotel exceeded all expectations!!!! The room was beautiful & modern. The bathroom was gorgeous with a sliding glass door and a rainfall shower head. Also, free breakfast with so much variety!! I've seen some hotel breakfasts and I did not expect this hotels breakfast to be the slightest appetizing, but it was great! The hotel gives you a parking pass to park in the gated garage below the hotel, which is very nice to have our cars gated in. The area this hotel is located in was beautifully perfect and very put together. The only thing I can say that is on the downside is my boyfriend's white socks were clean and got dirty (not horribly) after walking around the room. Also, the shower walls could use a little rinse (again nothing horribly gross). Other than that, the toilet, bed, sink, tables, etc were all clean!!! Definitely recommend this hotel from this clean freak to a fellow clean freak!
