Parc - Warm CWE Apts near BJC by Zencity

I’m loathe to leave unfavorable reviews, being in a business that relies heavily on reviews. A last resort for a poor resort:

We made a reservation on a Saturday afternoon for a two-month stay some 3 weeks before proposed check in. We were forced to cancel Monday morning. (aged parent became ill), some 40 hours later. We didn’t sign the contract, & offered to pay a processing fee because we don’t like people working for free. ZenCity retained one month’s rent.

Their web ad boasts a no pressure cancellation policy of up until 5 days prior to check in, with a big caveat embedded deep in the fine print: if the reservation is made less than 30 days before check in, you’re liable for the entirety.

Don’t give ZenCity any money unless your plans are unalterably ground in stone. This is the least ‘zen’ deal I’ve done in a decade.

The property had mold. We notified admin this problem upon arrival at 3 am. We left the next morning at 10 am. They did not provide a resolution or alternative accommodations. Moreover, they only refunded half of the total 5 night reservation cost, still keeping the cleaning and service fees. We were there 8 hours, suffered health problems and incurred additional expenses from having to pay for a hotel. I’ll be reporting the property to the health department. This is a health violation and should not be allowed to be listed. Moreover, we should have been refunded in full or offered alternative accommodations. Amenities including W/D were not working, hair dryer not provided and unit very unclean. Pics provided.
