When we came over to see the Train Garden the security guard at the gate reccomended the tour. He was great! She has a real sense of pride for the complex and the Museum. We are so happy he took the time to reccomend it. It really peaked our 8 yr old daughter's curiosity.
We truly enjoyed our tour. The people here are wonderful and informative. They really gave us a sense of togetherness. Our whole family enjoyed it and the train garden.
Thank you to all!

My older son asked to go somewhere to learn about airplanes while we were in Baltimore. The Glenn L. Martin Aviation Museum fulfilled his request and went beyond our expectations! He learned about Rosie the Riveter and Morse code. The outdoor tour of planes was fascinating. Paul's knowledge and passion for aviation was evident. He took the time to answer any questions my son asked. My son enthusiastically reviewed his time there as "Amazing!" Aviation fans of any age need to visit this museum.

This place is amazing!! Our volunteer tour guides were kind and informational. They were full of passion and were able to entertain a group of teenagers. I was amazed by the history of this place. Definitely would visit again!!

Beautiful hidden museum. It took a little finding in the parking lot. The sign is small and not over the door but it is well worth a stop. The planes are great and just so cool to hear about this little part of Baltimore history!!

Great experience to see all the company has accomplished. My father in law’s paintings hang there. I’m proud of him! Harden Foote
His painting of these birds is on the ceiling in the museum.

Fantastic museum! Lovely interior exhibit on the history of the airport and the Martin facilities there with a nice gift shop plus an amazing flight line of historic military aircraft. Truly could not imagine a cooler small aviation museum. Volunteers were generous with their time and stories.

If you’re willing to walk circa 20 odd minutes it’s easy enough to reach from the MARC station on the other side of the airport with sidewalks available all the way around. If you arrive early due to the train schedule, there’s a waiting area with a small couch inside the building that hosts the museum (which is shared with a few other businesses).

It's a small museum, with hopes of expanding, and is packed with the history of Glen L. Martin Co.'s major roles in building aircraft during World War II and space shuttles, such as Gemini and Apollo, as part of the USA's participation in space exploration. My husband's grandfather (Charles Tolson), worked at Martin's during those times, and kept many personal documents and photos, which my husband donated to the museum. There is a special interactive room for kiddos where they can explore Martin's history in aircraft at their own level. There are no fees, though gratuities are appreciated.
P.S. I grew up near Martin's and remember arms that descended over Eastern Ave. that paused traffic in order for planes to taxi to additional hangars across the street from the airport and sea planes that landed in Martin's lagoon.

This museum is definitely worth visiting. I attended a 99th birthday celebration for an original Rosie The Rivoter Mrs Susan King and there were visitors from out of town and it was "GREAT!."
