I highly recommend this shop and absolutely love going here. It’s in the old train depot and she’s kept a lot of the original architecture features in the shop. Toni carries several lines of fabrics and is always happy to help you find what you need. I’ve taken classes here and always enjoyed the knowledgeable teachers. And if there’s a pattern or sample on display she’ll do her best to help you make a kit. Toni is very knowledgeable and always willing to help you out with any questions you may have.

Quilters and knitters will want to put a visit to this shop on their must see list! The owner was eager to give us a tour of the beautifully restored former depot and showed us several rooms of fabrics, notions, quilts and yarns. Classes are offered and a new inn just opened nearby for overnight stays. Downtown Jasper has a brewery, coffee shop and restaurants, so fabric artists may wish to plan a visit for a weekend retreat. If you’re out of the area you can still shop through their online shop PickensCountyMerchantile.com

First time stopping by store. I will definitely be back. Toni was so helpful and learned so much in my first day with her ! So ladies go by and work on your quilts and if you are a beginner, this is the place to learn.

My wife and I visited this store which is in the old Jasper train station. My wife is an avid quilter and was excited to see the variety of quilting fabric and yarns. The historical aspect of the building was interesting too.

Came in with some (barely) half-baked ideas on covering an unsightly loft area overlooking a main room. After taking up certainly more of their time than this idea justified, I was sent on my way fully baked :-), and the deployed result is perfect for me! Anyone entering this shop must sense the dedication, knowledge, and know-how these folks bring to what they do. Go here.

I discovered this lovely store Jan. 18. The owner gave us a tour and told us she had opened last June. It is housed in an old railroad station, and the shop is lovely. There is a very nice selection of print and solid cotton fabrics, quilting patterns, notions and accessories, and many samples are displayed for inspiration. They have classes, and one was in progress when we visited. The store now carries yarn, and has a nice selection of Cascade yarns in different weights. I can’t wait to visit again.

The ladies here are wonderfully helpful when ever I ask even the simplest questions. They are understanding of my little quilt budget and treat me like any other shopper that'd spend much more. The ambience of the old train station is delightful. Also, make sure to check out the back fabric wall for sale fabrics.

What a terrific time we had at PCMQ today! A terrific selection of fabrics, a beautiful, well lit class room, and best of all ~ excellent customer care. I wish I lived closer, but will definitely make a point of coming back for more classes.

I can't wait to go back when I need fabric for my next quilt. Coordinating fabrics are shelved together. Great variety available. Quilts are displayed with quite a few square patterns. The people were very nice even though I was visiting from out of town.

Great shop in a historic train depot. If your looking for primative fabrics this is a great place to get them. Prices are compatible and fabric is beautiful. They also teach classes. Great place for yarn and accessories.
