The Old Mulehouse

We were just passing through and stopped in for lunch. I had the pecan crusted local trout. It was buttery and delicious. For dessert, we had the brown butter toffee cake. A great complement to the meal. They have a nice bourbon and cocktail selection as well. Would dine here again.

Our server tonight was Chandler. We requested him because he is committed to providing excellent service and is very knowledgeable about food allergies -mine happens to be gluten. Chandler knows the menu and is able to share what is safe for me to eat. If I would like something questionable he knows how to adjust ingredients to make it safe. Tonight we finally tried the creme brulee! Everything we have tried is delightful. The bar drinks are on point as well. Perfect for any occasion!!

Atmosphere was great! Just the perfect place to stop in and get a bite to eat while visiting downtown. Sammy was funny and knowledgeable and we truly enjoyed her service. The food was great too!

Delicious meals. We loved learning about the history of the Mulehouse. Our server was so friendly and did such a good job. The trout was so good. We also had the steak and frites which ours kids ate and the soup and salad combo was perfect as well.

Stopped in here by chance… the food … amazing… charity our server super nice and cool live music- we had caprese salad amazing!! brisket, and the pretzel for an appetizer and French onion soup. All were phenomenal. If you’re in town I highly recommend.

I love this restaurant, it’s one of the best in North Georgia. Great food, great service, and a great atmosphere. The people who work here truly make you feel like family. I cannot say enough good things. Incredible and yummy food, plus great people… Make sure to stop by

The atmosphere was the best part oft he experience! The first lace is very cool looking!!! My food was bland. I ordered a burger and the beer cheese fries and both had very little seasoning! I got the max and cheese as my side and it was good but nothing to write home about! The service was very good and the prices were reasonable. I am in town on vacation and will probably try another restaurant next time.

Feta cheese dip was outstanding. House reuben is excellent, but not really like a reuben.

COME HERE if you have an event! Chelsea was an absolute DREAM to work with! She made planning my daughter’s rehearsal dinner effortless. She is super sweet, professional and PROMPT with communication on her end and patient with me and my countless questions. Our party of 30 had an absolute blast and our family and friends RAVED about the food, the venue and the icing on the cake was the Friday night live music! Best pecan pie I’ve ever had in my life! The food was absolute perfection and we got to take home leftovers which was awesome so I didn’t have to cook for days and a lot of restaurants don’t do this - Chelsea and Gabe ran our event like a boss and it was a night we will always remember 💪🔥

Great place for good food, kind, friendly service, and cool atmosphere. I highly recommend if you are in the Jasper area.

We were traveling for the day and we stopped to eat at this restaurant without any expectations. The food was amazing (thanks Chef and staff) the drinks were also great.

Gabe made our night at The old Mulehouse so special and memorable! He was a wonderful server and went above and beyond when he found out that we were celebrating 3 birthdays and 2 anniversaries this evening while we are in town! The little “extras” that the restaurant and staff do for their customers surely does not go unnoticed! From the desserts and bubbly to the signed birthday cards and gift cards, Gabe and crew did it all. What a wonderful night out at this great little place! Highly recommend! Thank you again to Gabe for the special celebration for our birthdays, parents 50th anniversary/sister and brother in laws 6th anniversary! It was a great night out.

The food was delightful… you can tell all the ingredients are fresh and natural. Got the Whipped Feta Dip for appetizers and would highly recommend it. Ordered a traditional Gyro and can honestly say it was true gourmet. The service was very attentive, prompt, and friendly. The atmosphere was casual but elegant. I plan on going back again to try other menus items. Don’t miss this restaurant when in Jasper.

The Ole Mulehouse in Jasper was such a pleasant surprise!! Drove by it not knowing it was there and decided to stop and check it out.

This location is very spacious and HUGE, lots of tables. Their menu items are limited but it's that's OK because the food they do make is delicious and beautiful looking. Their server was so nice and friendly, it added to the atmosphere.

Pictured here is their PECAN CRUSTED TROUT and their SPIRAL HAM. I've always loved deviled eggs so that had to be my appetizer.

Their desserts are pretty tasty as well with their CARROT CAKE CHEESECAKE becoming an instant favorite but their WHITE CHOCOLATE BREAD PUDDING... I think I shed a tear when I took the last bite 😂😢

Who would have known Jasper put of all places (good BBQ spots) would have this little gem in their downtown area!?

The girls got together for a special birthday celebration, and we were looking for something outside the city, and I made a good choice! I loved the old brick. The server had just the right amount of attentiveness and was friendly. There was a reasonable number of choices from soup, salads, French toast black bean burger, etc. Loved the whipped feta dip! I look forward to stopping in again.

Absolutely wonderful! Came here for the first time and our waiter, John, was a sweetheart and very attentive. All the staff was kind. I got the lamb gyro and it was perfect. The Kentucky Mule was also delicious. The best part was dessert, creme brulee with whipped cream, just phenomenal. Highly recommend!!

Delicious food, excellent drink choices, and great service! Try the Chicken Gyros, they were excellent. Also, the hard cider from Reece's was very good.

I moved to Jasper several months ago and I am saddened that tonight was my first time coming here!

Absolutely FANTASTIC!

The atmosphere is fun and vibrant, but not too loud either. Hostesses and wait staff were attentive and on top of things. The food.... the food was amazing!

I had the Pork Belly Sandwich and substituted ginger carrots for the fries and ended with baklava. I will simply say that the food tasted even better than it looked, and their plating was great!

Old Mulehouse is worthy of planning a trip to Jasper for.

Had an excellent night out! Tried the steak frites and it was to die for, perfectly cooked/seasoned. We had the pleasure of having Chandler be our server, couldn't have asked for better service! Thank you for making our night Chandler, we will be back and will be asking to sit in your section!🤞 Can't wait!
