Pelican Beach Resort

We rented a beach view one bedroom condo. There's five of us, (2 adults, three kids, 10,8,7) and we fit very comfortably. It would be a tight fit once the kids are teens.

The beach is amazing, the condo is clean, and we are having the best time.

We actually booked through Panhandle Getaways, and they've been awesome to work with.

Overall, this place is five stars, and I would absolutely recommend for a family looking to get away.

Stayed there as a kid, wonderful place, really pretty, directly on the sand. The water is a green blue color, you might find jellyfish, and the sand is white. The hotel has several floors and the room are very large with full kitchens. The rooms are clean and have large bathrooms and the parking lot is easy to find. Go out to the beach early so you can get your spot for the day before it gets too crowded. Plenty activities for kids, just ask the front desk. There’s a bar at the pool and a grassy area next to the pool. Overall great place you’ll love to visit if you go to Destin beach.

Breathtaking views. Clean condo building and beach. 3 pools, 2 hot tubs, 1 kiddie pool, a cafe and tiki hut for a quick meal or snack. Fitness center, conference room, bingo night. Various actvities depending on time of year. Some building repairs and renovations, along with 2 out of 4 non-working elevators, did not infringe on the overall enjoyment of our stay.

It's hard to complain about a condo on the 18th floor right on the gulf. Our place was very clean, and well stocked with all the essentials (even beach chairs and an umbrella!). I was a little uncertain about wearing the wristbands all the time, but we just cut them off whenever we felt like it and traded them in for new ones often. Front desk didn't mind replacing and were always kind to us. The pools were clean and heated! And the little cafe was adorable, and convenient for lunch! The only bad thing was that they were refinishing the floors on the outside of every floor starting from the top. And being on the 18th floor we unfortunately were burdened with the obnoxious noise and horrible dust 5 out of 7 days of our trip. We were not made aware of this while booking, or in any emails we got before our trip. So that was a bummer. Also, every floor is supposed to have a laundry room, and they took ours due to construction. That was a downside too. Other than that, it's impossible not to have a great time at an oceanfront property. Watching the sun rise and set right from our balcony was my favorite!

Our stay was wonderful! Such a beautiful location and the accommodations were everything that we could ask for. We will be back.

Great location! Beautiful views! Our room was clean and bed was comfortable. The new pool and hot tub are an extra bonus.

My wife and I stayed for vacation for a few days and we absolutely enjoyed our stay. The location directly on the beach and literally in distance of everything. Definitely enjoyed ourselves here and the romantic package that was included with it. Thanks again team for the service

Right on the beach, couldn’t ask for a better location, we were on the bay side and the view was amazing. Place was under renovations so it was busy and a bit loud it you’re not here to sit in Your room, go to the beach and enjoy

This is our 3rd trip to Destin, Fl and we have stayed at the Pelican Beach Resort, each condo is furnished differently, with different furniture style, color palette and decor. This last one was a two bedroom and 2 bath with a ocean view balcony. They have a different company taking care of the beach chair rental. They have a tiki bar that serves food and drinks just adjacent to the beach. They have added a second pool. They have great customer service. Would recommend!!!

Wonderful resort that has everything multiple pools. The ocean , exercise room,
hot tubs. It's really outstanding!

Our week stay at the pelican Beach resort was fantastic. The condo was great and plenty a room for all just like the picture show super super nice very cozy and great view of the beach and ocean. We need to do all the pools and Jacuzzis in the spa and the tiki bar and service out on the beach and delicious pizzas from the café. Can’t wait till we get to go back. Have a fantastic week I highly recommend this place for a family getaway.

Great place to vacation with the family. The condo was super clean with a fantastic view of the Gulf. Across the street is The Big Kahuna water park and so many close grocery stores, restaurants, souvenir shops, ice cream and boba tea places. Awesome location!

This hotel has 3 pools, including an indoor one. A Cafe and Tiki Hut to grab a bite. 24/7 front desk personnel for assistance. Under cover parking available. A beautiful small lake to fish.

A beautiful and convenient location for a family vacation. The staff is friendly and the food at the cafe is incredible! The negative I have is that the fitness center is pretty pathetic for a condo tower this size. If there are more than two people in there you can’t really work out: the space in the fitness center is taken up by a steam room and a sauna that I haven’t seen used yet. Still, this place gets 5 stars from me. The views don’t get much better and the fairly priced accommodations and the friendly staff make it just about a perfect emerald coast vacation!

We loved our condo. Second year staying there. We have had no issues from booking to check out. It does get busy, but it doesn’t bother us, it’s a resort and summertime. The cafe is great and the tiki bartenders are amazing! The construction was all but completed when we got there end of May. So no issues from that. We will be back for our next Destin vacation.

We come to the pelican every year and definitely plan on buying a condo here! Rooms are very nice and either side has great views! They have a little Cafe you can get breakfast lunch or dinner too! Two amazing pools and lovely beach service. I would recommend the pelican beach resort to anyone. Only downside is that it is not pet friendly and only welcomes service and Esa dogs. Still love it here and plan on buying and vacationing with out emotional support pups.

Love this place. Nice condo. Good amenities. The beach is wonderful. Very clean. I recommend getting the chairs and umbrella service. We can see lots if dolphins and small sharks from our balcony. So much fun!

Clean and nice rooms, location is bad, the traffic can be heavy causing it to be difficult and dangerous when exiting and entering the property. I hate the beach area, it a pay to play, meaning you have to spend a thousand dollars a week to rent chairs for a family of 5, if you don't your the poor sap who is causing your family to be in the back of the beach. I mean so far back you can't even see the water. You will be unable to sit on the beach to watch your children. Be prepared to let them drown or play with them the whole time. Not relaxing whatsoever!

Great view. 3 nice pools to choose from. Nice private beach area. Within walking distance of great restaurants. The only downfall is that sometimes it takes time to get into the resort at the entrance, with only allowing one vehicle in at a time.

Was in 1405 very clean well kept perfect location was very memorable. Also was close to everything will definitely beback this summer

Very nice people super clean. I read reviews the day before we left to visit and was worried. Let me say ….yes very pricey but would do it again and plan on it. The service desk was very helpful room was AWESOME!! With teenagers it was well worth it. After doing motels for years and then trying this …just seeing kids face was all worth it. No sand on floor like others say and definitely no roaches. Yes a washer and dryer and everything needed. Bring your coffee sugar salt and pepper and your fine!! People say rent chairs or your screwed not true take your chairs there’s plenty of room behind rented chairs and no you don’t feel like caged animals we roamed the beach. I must say I can’t wait to stay again. THANKS PELICAN!!
