AK Certified did an excellent job on our roof! Rolando did our estimate and coordinated the job (which included removal and reinstallation of solar panels.) Nathan supervised the job itself and was great at keeping us informed through the process. I cannot say enough about how hard and efficiently the crew worked! They did an amazing job and cleaned up everything fully! Would highly recommend AK Certified Roofing!

From the initial call to the company and dealing with Rolando Calderin our experience was without issues. The salesman took notes, had answers to all my many questions and was available for follow-ups after he left. When I received the estimate, everything was included. I called other companies that were not as prepared as he was and then when the estimate came, I had to call to remind them of what should have been included and what we discussed. Rolando was on top of his game from the first visit to the completion of the job. The day of the roof install we dealt with Nathan Pennington who was very professional during the entire process. He was in constant contact with me providing me with pictures via text of any additional items (plywood) that was needed explaining the entire process, so we had no surprises when the job was completed. I would say that it is important to have a good salesman to sell the job and represent the company, but it is the project manager that really makes the process flawless along with the entire crew that did the physical job. Nathan had a real great understanding of the job and what needed to be done. The crew that day was awesome and really didn't need his guidance, but they did look to him for direction. He was great dealing with them and dealing with us as well. I called several companies but decided to go with them because of how prepared and proactive Rolando was making sure I had all my answers. The price that was given to us was within the same range of other companies, but the deciding factor came to my comfort level with the people I was dealing with. The day of the job we had 22 sheets of plywood replaced, had 18BF of wood replaced on the facia, had 4 skylights removed and new ones installed and had an attic fan installed. During the skylight removal slight damage occurred inside which is very much expected when you are ripping something out but no worries as they sent out a guy (Bob) the next day to frame around the new skylights inside and repair the slight damage to the horrible popcorn ceilings in this house, yes they are going next. We are also having the facia wrapped and that contractor is being provided by AK Certified as well. The final was having a really nice crew sent by AK Certified to wash the driveway. I can tell you that the crew installing my roof did a wonderful job cleaning up around my house. They were very respectful of all my numerous flower beds making sure they cleaned all the nails and respected my hard work making sure nothing and I mean nothing was broken or damaged, no leaf was harmed on my flowers. If you are trying to make that hard decision on who to trust with your roof I would say look no further and go with AK Certified. Work with Rolando on your contract and your requirements and then on install day insist that you are assigned Nathan Pennington to be the project manager on your job site. I promise you it will be your best decision and your best experience. They handle it all from soupe to nuts. Oh, I also had solar panels for my pool, and they worked with them on scheduling the removal and installation. I had nothing to worry about. Very grateful to Rolando, Nathan, the install crew and AK Certified Roofing for a smooth worry-free process from the start.

These guys were amazing They got our two Story houses roof done IN ONE DAY !! everything went so smoothly the guys up on the roof were fast , knowledgeable and knew what they were doing, (incredible) if you ever need roofing services that’s legitimate and trustworthy Ak roofing is definitely the best choice !! AK Roofing installed my new roof last week. I am very pleased with the results. From the beginning when I first met Rolando Calderin until completion of the roof replacement Rolando was there to walk me through the entire process. He was very professional and he helped me to understand the different stages. Everything went so smoothly. The workers were efficient and respectful to me and my property. Also, on the day of the roof replacement I met Nathan Pennington. He supervised the work throughout the day and he was very informative and professional as well. The quote that I received was a fair one and all of the materials used were top quality. I chose Owens Corning shingles in “Teak” and I also had them install Peel & Stick to the entire roof. AK went above and beyond when cleaning up afterwards. They even had my driveway pressure washed! I would definitely recommend AK Roofing to anyone in need of a new roof. They gave me excellent customer service, they were friendly, and all of the work was completed within the timeframe promised. Thank you AK Roofing!!

AK just finished our roof today and we are so pleased! They finished the roof in the timeframe as promised and the workers were very friendly and respectful of the property. We chose asphalt shingles the premium package in a Sand Dune pattern which was different hues and very pretty. We’ve already had complimentary comments from the neighbors and Rolando gave us good advice and navigated us through the process of obtaining a new roof since ours was 22 years old. They adhered to the complete policies of the contract and the price was more affordable than some of the other comparable roofing companies we had interviewed. We would definitely recommend them and use them again if ever needed!

Mike from AK Roofing was outstanding from start to finish with my roofing project. He was very quick in responding to all of my questions and very respectful and helpful throughout my roof replacement process. Mike is very knowledgeable and a great communicator.
James was the project lead on the day of installation. He and his crew worked very hard, were careful, detail oriented and did an impeccable job of cleaning up when the job was finished.
AK kept all time lines promised with thorough coordination. Roof prices very reasonable with quality work. I would absolutely hire them if I need any further work completed.

I would highly recommend AK Certified Roofing. From the minute I signed up for a free estimate and the Flagler Home Show in January. They have been professional and very accommodating and answered all the questions I had when they were at the house. After getting several estimates, I did go with AK and I am so pleased. They did an amazing job on my roof. Got it done in one day!!! They also straightened up my gutters and they pressure washed my driveway.

After recent events and some damage to my roof. I had got a few estimates and with AK Certified roofing being the best offer I decided to use them. I was not disappointed at all with this decision. Rolando was excellent with communication and on top of everything. The gentleman that repaired my roof were efficient and friendly. I would 10/10 recommend them and will be using in the future when needed.

We had our roof installed April 2023. Mike our project manager was very informative, he was on the job site to make sure everything was going well. Communication was great he never let a text or phone call go unanswered. The guys did a great job, clean up was done quickly, dumpster was removed immediately and the power washing of the driveway was a pleasant end to the project. We recommended them to our neighbors across the street, and they too had nothing but good things to say about the company.

When I was getting estimates on my re-roofing, this is the ONLY company that came out and physically spoke to me and talked about what I needed. 3 other companies gave me "virtual estimates" *eye roll*

Michael Cordero came out, setup, and managed the entire experience. The entire timeline from start to finish was exactly as he stated. He is extremely knowledgeable in regards to coordinating the insurance and state grant programs. He answered any and every text regarding this process in a timely and professional manner.

The day of re-roofing, Nathan Pennington was on site providing real-time text updates, including pictures, even coordinating times for me to bring my dogs out safely for their walks. Top notch customer service.

They manage every detail perfectly, not just the work on the roof, but the company that reattaches the gutters as well as setting up driveway and sidewalk cleaning!

This company is a GEM and this level of service is almost unheard of these days. I cannot recommend them enough. They deserve 10 stars.

For the first time ever having my roof done I am thrilled with the result. All the people that were involved were always giving me a heads up and always replying to my text or calls right away. They go well above and beyond the requirements.

Like so many others in Florida, our homeowners insurance company required replacement of our aged out roof. Based on online reviews, we narrowed our search to the top roofers in the Palm Coast area. Andrew with AK Certified gave us an estimate in a professional package, complete with warranties, samples and complete estimate with options. We chose to go with the Premium level package based on the addons it included - stick down underlayment, choice of architectural shingle brands and colors, Bullet Boot vent boots, longer workmanship warranty, wind mitigation report and more.

The job was completed on time, with excellent communication before, during and after the project. The job was even followed up with a driveway power wash! Several notes: 1) Do NOT allow the rooftop delivery truck to drive onto your residential drive. It is too much weight, and will crack the drive. 2) Andrew (owner) and Rolando (project manager) like the homeowner to be proactive about their roof component choices. There are a lot of things to consider, so please take your time. Look at Atlas Shingles as a total system with a quality warranty and stain resistance; Famco Mfg for low profile roof vents; and the DryerJack for a quality dryer vent, all Made in the USA. The vents were requested by me and sourced by AK Certified.

For attic ventilation, we upgraded our old power vent to the Quiet Cool Power Vent, manufactured in California. It has three speeds, excellent quiet performance, Bluetooth connection to a phone app and the ability to keep the attic 20-30 degrees cooler than before to minimize heat soak. We have noticed a real difference in the living area, though the real test will be in Summer. Overall, be sure to look hard at how your attic is being vented, as this is important for your power bill, roof life and warranty.

Time to completion was 2 1/2 days. The roof was dried in the first day, ready for underlayment inspection and the rainstorm that night. Most of the roof was shingled the next day, with minor finish work the third morning. The crew constantly cleaned around the home, and the dump trailer was set to one side of the drive so that we could still use our garage. We have not found a single nail on the ground following. Wind mitigation inspection and driveway power wash were done the next week, following final inspection. Be sure your insurance company has images, the wind mitigation report and certificate of completion.

After a project like this, I always ask myself if I would go the same route, and with the same contractor. My answer would be yes to both. There are always glitches with a major project like this, but the ones on this job were minor. Highly recommended.

Rolando (Roly) was so professional. He was very responsive. He answer the call right away & came out less than 24 hours later. He was thorough & knowledgeable. He communicated effectively & provided a detailed explanation & report, with photos. I would not hesitate to recommend him & his company. Love that he’s local, but I also know he travels to meet the needs of his customers. As we are new to Florida, he even gave us local tips on restaurants & fun activities in the area. Our experience with AK Certified Roofing was excellent. Mike Cordero was our project manager, who provided exceptional customer service, communication, and follow-up. We first met with Mike in April to discuss roof replacement. He was punctual and prepared. He provided a detailed estimate and samples, as well as actual roof sites of the ones we chose from the samples, to be able to "see" the full roof on a home. He took photos throughout the process, beginning with measurements and existing roof/gutter photos.

Upon our final decision, the product was ordered, communication of the arrival of our product given, and all was delivered within the said time frame. The job was completed timely, from the order, delivery, removal, and actual install. Mike continued to provide communication and follow-up as the job progressed.

The removal/install crew were proficient in their trade. Care was taken to cover planters around the perimeter of our home, limiting the number of nails/debris to fall into our yard. When the install was complete the magnet was taken around the perimeter of our home, with a second go around being done a day later to remove what the tarps did not catch. Seeing that we have children, this measure was greatly appreciated.

The second phase of our roof replacement was the install of new seamless gutters and down spouts. The contractor/sales rep for the gutter division (Joe) came out and confirmed original measurements taken by Mike (prior to the actual roof replacement), as well as discussed placement of desired downspouts.

Approximately one week after our roof inspection, our gutters were installed. I did need to call to find out when the crew was coming (for future clients, the office manager in the gutter division may want to communicate the schedule with the homeowner). The gutter crew provided a quality product, as well as ensuring specifications were met according to our desired placement of downspouts and extensions. This process, was completed within two days.

Payment was collected upon completion of the whole job, once inspections were complete/passed and the roof install/gutter install was done. A third-party wind mitigation specialist came out (included in our roof replacement package) and provided a thorough assessment which we are able to submit to our insurance company. Our overall experience has been favorable and we have recommended AK Certified Roofing to our friends.
