Ai Japanese Restaurant

I really can't believe I hadn't visited AI before and am so glad I finally did. Mainly because it is on the other side of town and I usually go out closer to home though... The sushi was very good as well as the rest of the meal I had including soft shell crab (pictured)! It is a smaller, more intimate setting staffed by husband and wife owners, both very hard workers I observed. The portions were just enough and the cost for most menu items were VERY reasonable in today's inflated market

There's a reason this place is the oldest Japanese restaurant in Palm Coast and have outlasted newer much hyped about fancier Japanese and Sushi restaurants that are now gone. The reason? Simply because serve fresh and tasty Sushi and Sashimi at a reasonable price!

A hidden gem!! Everything was absolutely delicious. The sushi tasted super fresh. Serious the best Ramen I've had in years. I got the hell Ramen level 3 spice and it was perfection. Huge portion, packed with all the goods. Definitely my new favorite Japanese spot.

Great hidden je over in St Joe Plaza. Delicious sushi and Japanese dishes. Excellent value as well. Came here with some other Fellow Foodies of Flagler members last night, and everyone enjoyed their dishes. Be sure to give them a try

The best Japanese curry, takoyaki, and gyoza I've had outside of Japan, absolutely delicious! More authentic than most Japanese restaurants in PC.

I order food here at least once a week.
I've NEVER had better Japanese curry in my life.

This was the Japanese restaurant in Palm Coast and it’s stayed consistently. Great quality sushi, and a wonderful atmosphere. Don’t be in a hurry, you want to enjoy the true flavors of this place.

Nice people the oldest and authentic Japanese restaurant in Flagler County/Palm Coast area. I recommend this restaurant.

Food is very delicious! Be patient when you go as there is only 1 server and cook there doing multiple things. Don’t be a Karen or Bill and ruin others night. That’s whether you dine in or call to pick up. The world doesn’t revolve around you.

For the past year and a half my family and I have been ordering our sushi from another local restaurant......not anymore! Ai is our new go to spot whenever we get our sushi and Japanese food itch. The sushi is clean, not loaded up with an over abundance of sauces and the fish melts in your mouth, especially the scallop roll (we ordered 3 of them last time). One tip if you are going to order and pick up the sushi, leave a little extra time for them to prepare your delicious food as they are small but so well worth it!

Excellent food, small family owned restaurant with a great atmosphere. We have eaten here many times and always consistent good food.

I just found this wonderful little place, and I'm glad I did. The kindness and patience from the gentleman (totally screwed up the pronunciations) I spoke with as I placed my order over the phone was the best. I've only had the Hell Ramen and it was soo good. The broth is what can make or break a dish and they have a great one, to me. After I finished I wished I had gotten two. I will try other items, eventually 😊

This is a review for the bathroom.
Nice, cool, and dark. No stalls, just a single room, typical of small restaurant establishments. There's two separate rooms, labeled for men and women. Lights may be a little dark for some, but good ambiance and atmosphere, similar to the rest of the restaurant. Good place for contemplating life after some good sushi. A potted plant in a corner, nice to look at. Paper well in stock. Clean and not bad smelling at all. Vent is working well.
Bring your own feminine hygiene products, but otherwise good bathroom.

It was our first visit...we ordered steamed shumai for appetizer, spicy yellowtail roll & shrimp yaki soba with medium spice. Everything was absolutely delicious, the prices were very reasonable & we're looking forward to going back. Definitely recommend this place...the service was also very nice.

My husband and I love this place, it's the best, freshest sushi in town. Very small, quaint place. The male server there, provides some of the best service we've ever had. We have been eating here for over 6 years, highly recommend

Hands down the best shrimp and steak fried rice in the city of Palm Coast. Not to mention it came with a bowl of miso soup and a salad with ginger dressing. My Appetizer was out of this world. Tori no Karaage. Friend chicken tenderloin with ginger and garlic 🧈 Japanese style no dine in but pick up was fast and courteous

The word Amazing doesn’t begin o give it justice. The small ambience is private and perfectly fit for couples looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of the day to enjoy delicious sushi. Love this place!!
