Sonny's BBQ

My first time here..Not my husbands. Our waitress was Jojo, we were only in town for a visit and ate out quite a bit. She was one the ABSOLUTE best waitresses!! The food, oh my goodness.. Amazing😍😍 will definitely be eating there at some point during our visits. She was so busy but definitely made sure to check on us often.

Oh my! I may have found porky nirvana. Got the whole hog sandwich on garlic toast; sister got the loaded tater tots; and hubby got his go-to sliced pork. I'm in hog heaven. Mckayla was an excellent server as well, friendly, attentive, and quick.

Service was great and food was good. Came out quickly Eventhough they were somewhat busy. Place was clean with clean restrooms.

I was welcomed by a staff member to let me know the bartender would be right with me. She said hello I asked for a beverage, since I was early for my takeout. She was very nice and polite put my order together and when I got home it was perfect. 5/30/24 4:15pm

Absolutely tasty. Was surprised to see a drive through for a restaurant, so I didn't know what to expect inside. But it's definitely a restaurant, very clean, and pretty cozy for a BBQ place. The staff is friendly and attentive to customer needs. Most importantly, the food was delicious; got the Sonny's Sampler and it was definitely worth the value. Wish for a little more brisket, but it was good regardless.

We were a family of 9 staying in Palm coast Florida for Archery championships. We didn't want to cook or go out so we ran thru the drive thru at Sonny's. The food was hot and fresh and we loved all the different BBQ sauces they had to offer. The Brisket was absolutely amazing!! Good southern BBQ.

Thoroughly enjoy our dinner. The portions were very generous and our waitress JoJo was amazing, always making sure we had everything we needed. We all took boxes to go , and will enjoy another Sonny’s meal at home tomorrow. Very good value for the price.

Please like & share our reviews. Wheelchair accessible parking. Went out even though the weather was a bit damp and rainy. Not many folks were at Sonny's. The place was immaculate.They have regular dining and then a bar up front with sports games and beer on tap near the entrance. There is a drive thru for orders on the go. Alice was our server and she treated us like VIPs! If you dine-in, definitely request her. She is great at what she does and will def treat you right.
We ordered kids' meals, a big deal and the pick 2 pitmaster meats from the simple, slimmed down menu. The kids' menu had no prices but were $5.99. The portions were hefty and filling. We were slightly bummed that the salad bar has disappeared from this establishment but we still enjoyed all the bbq and the table side sauces. There is only one spicy sauce but it hardly has any heat so bring your special bottle from home if you must... was a great, low key family night but fun nonetheless.

Our server told us it was his first day and we were his first table ever.... impossible! He was fantastic! The entire staff was so sweet, accommodating and fast. Oh, the food was perfect.

Ordered a Family Meal for a Mothers Day Gathering…Was on time ready , Food was delicious. Service and Communication were Awesome. I will use them again…without hesitation…A+

I love this Sonny's ... Came here on Valentine's Day and had to get our food to go, Caitlyn made sure everything was accurate and delicious. It was so super busy and she was really holding it down. Kudos!

I shared a BBQ feast with my wife and it was great! Combo of ribs, brisket, pork, beans, toast and coleslaw. It was more than enough food for us, and the best value we encountered while on vacation.

My waitress was Ms. Ariana. Super friendly person!....just been seated and the waitress was right there! We agreed that half rack of ribs should get people booted out! Only way to go it is FULL Rack of ribs. Ribs were delicious, place was spotless. Signs to get to restaurant was a bit wonky but I am pretty sure it's city ordinances which hinder signage. I used Google. Beautiful job by waitress..and kitchen 👏

Decided to give it another chance. Dylan was so friendly and restored my faith in this place .

Update: The past few times I'd gone there I had awful experiences. I went to place an order for takeout. However, none of the waitresses even acknowledged me. After 5 minutes I tried getting a few of their attention but they ignored me. Finally it looked as though one of them was going to help me but she went and sat at the bar instead. No, it was not busy. There was only like 2 tables that had guests. After 10 minutes without even an acknowledgement, I left. I used to go at least once a week but haven't been in months now.

I love Sonny's! They have 4 different types of barbecue sauce right at every table. I'm not into hot n spicy, so I like the mild and sweet barbecue sauce. They give you a huge cup for water. That's all I got to drink so I'm not sure if they give you that big of a cup for soda. I got the Sonny's Sampler. It came with 2 sides, pulled pork, piece of chicken, sliced brisket, and garlic bread. So delicious and plenty of leftovers. Definitely worth it for the price!!! The employees are very friendly, too. They do have a kid's menu, too, which includes chicken fingers and grilled cheese I'm case your child is a picky water and doesn't like bbq. Highly recommend!

1st time at Sonny's & I totally enjoyed it, got the Sweet Carolina (didn't take a pic but I should have), it was delicious, unfortunately I had a hugh bone in my sandwich (not uncommon & it happens) and our server was nice enough to take the sandwich off of our bill, I will definitely be back.

Visiting from out of town and happened upon Sonny's... And very glad we did! BBQ pork egg rolls, fun, crispy and yummy! Mac and cheese was good, ribs were flavorful and tender and the smoked wings were fabulous. Don't forget to get the giant cookies at the end!

We stopped at this location for lunch on June 10th 2021 and to sum the whole experience up quickly, perfect!
We're taking our time and seeing all the best sights in the state of Florida. Having stayed in a hotel just 15 minutes away, we wanted to eat lunch after checking out, and before we got back on the road. We were craving BBQ and what better place for BBQ is there!?
I'm a native Floridian, my fiance is from Tennessee, so she'd never been before. She absolutely loved Sonny's! And this location in particular was awesome!

We were greeted and seated immediately. The entire staff was very friendly, fast, efficient, and good at what they do (that can't be said for many places). We had our food and drinks shortly after ordering, and our waitress was very attentive and nice. Our drinks stayed full, the food was absolutely amazing!!! Everything was perfect and I can't recommend this Sonny's BBQ highly enough! It's a fantastic location with delicious food and a wonderful staff!!

They have some fairly past decent BBQ here. There is no place like it...except.... maybe....
...IDK , perhaps one would consider Woody's or Bonos but, I would have to say: they run and look more like Dustin's BBQ...
The food was spectacular and well prepared. With the most kind and courteous of any server in the BBQ Food serving industry; Sonny's BBQ, although they won't bring his BBQ to your door with a vehicle, they will happily deliver his BBQ to one of his indoor tables with a smile!
I legit love this place! For real! Like, if I hadn't already been married twice, and divorced just as many times; I would rent this place out for a wedding! Unfortunately, my current girlfriend has aspirations about a church and a priest type wedding setting...so i haven't proposed to her yet either....
...not because she wants a church wedding but because I am still married to my second wife and the engagement ring I purchased from k mart 20 yrs ago, lost it's cubic zirconia mount...so i think we will jist have Sonny's cater the wedding idk that I'm probably not having.

My hubby and I had a long day, after dealing with our house being renovated for 8 weeks now,, and needed to grab a bite to eat. Even though it was close to closing time by the time we walked in the door, we were greeted with smiles and a friendly environment. JoJo, our waitress was the best! She herself works every day, almost 10 hours a day, but had a big smile on her face, very friendly, and had a cheery disposition. I willl ask to sit in her station from now on. The food was also hot & delicious, and nice size servings. But JoJo was the one who put the cherry on top... Give that girl a raise! Thank you! 😁
