This was my first time staying at a Ritz-Carlton. First I was not aware it was a Marriott hotel so I was super stoked to get the points! All the staff I encountered was super nice and genuinely glad you are here. I ordered room service one of my nights and they delivered a handwritten card with my meal expressing their excitement that it was my first time here and hope I have a great stay. Five stars, two high-fives, and a cheers to this hotel. If you're not a Marriott Bon Voy member, sign up to be one. 😁

highly recommend this hotel, service and hospitality were on point. the attention to detail for our children was why we will continue to return here. traveling with children can be a dicey time, but the service and location is phenomenal. the metro stop is literally across the walk way… the mall is attached so didn’t have to walk outside in the rain … the kid check in just adds to the inclusivity for our family.

we did not utilize room service not eat on property so can not truly comment on those. our room was spotless, cleaning and turn down service was great!

special shout out to one person in general. Ashu made sure to learn our children’s names, their interests, and engaged with them every single time we had an encounter. Our kids were asking for him when leaving.

also, I should note, the extra steps in being eco friendly at the hotel were noted ♥ 🌍

Had a great stay for a business trip. The hotel is beautiful, with close proximity to the Metro. The Club Lounge is a terrific amenity. Dining experience at Sante was enjoyable. Will definitely return on my next trip to the area.

For a two-night staycation, my wife, seven-year-old daughter and I checked into the Ritz-Carlton, one of Arlington's only luxury hotels. Right outside the Pentagon City Metro and connected to the Pentagon City Mall, here's our experience.

1) Check-In: With the app, it's easy. Our stay was in the app with all the details. Check in went smoothly. Upon check in, you can choose a mobile room key or physical key cards. Staff offered to help with our luggage.

Next to the check in desk is a Ritz Kids kiosk that my seven-year-old daughter enjoyed. After filling out a few questions, she was given a coloring pad, crayons, a scavenger hunt map, a stuffed animal, and gummy bears. "I feel like a princess," she said.

2) Rooms: We stayed on floor 18, the club access level, in a double bed room with views of D.C.'s monuments. We could see the Washington Monument, the National Cathedral, and nearby Air Force Memorial (in Arlington).

The room came with a desk, luggage stands, a closet, a small bathroom, a mini bar, and a snack bar for pay.

There were enough outlets and the bathroom came with a shaving kit, a dental kit, and more. The water pressure was great and the water can be turned to soft or hard.

For the three of us, the room's beds were small. Both moving around a lot, my daughter and I shared a bed and didn't sleep well. The second night we got a mattress for the floor so we each had a place to sleep.

3) Amenities: The hotel has a third floor gym with weights, machines, a sauna, and steam room in each changing room area. The pool was closed for renovation.

There's the Sante restaurant and bar on the ground level near meeting rooms.

The Club Lounge on the 18th floor offered five meal times throughout the day with quality food, views of the monuments, and plenty of tables to sit and read. They also had wine, drinks, and a candy bar.

In the lobby, there's a postcard area to send free postcard to friends and family.

The hotel offers valet service.

4) Service: The Ritz is know for the "Ritz-Carlton Way." Every staff member was genuinely friendly, remembering our names, and treating us like family. At every step, they offered to help. When we bought dumplings that needed to be frozen, they stored it in the hotel freezer for us.

Our daughter felt special throughout our stay. At dinner, the restaurant Sante placed a stuffed animal on her plate. The valet service let her pick a toy from their toy box. She loved staying here!

5) Area: It's near the Metro and the mall is connected with all types of shops and a food court. For good coffee, walk two blocks to Commonwealth Joe. The Metropolitan Park and Long Bridge Park are close with trails, public art, and views.

(Disclaimer: The hotel hosted our stay, but views are my own. They didn't ask for me to post.)

Stayed here only one night but was a nice place. Easy check-in and super convenient location for shopping and dining. Connect to a pretty big mall. Only a 10 min ride to Regan airport. Pricing is a little high but it is the Ritz so I wasn’t surprised.

I read a lot of the reviews and the few that are complaining the most have very little actual reviews and the reviews they do have are all negative-keep that in mind when you’re reading.

We stayed this week with a group for a burial at Arlington. Location was perfect. The view was hard in some areas but it was still stunning.

On arrival valet was very professional and the bellman (Kevin) was prompt. We tipped both well. The gentleman at check in was curt and rude but I didn’t let him ruin the experience. The room itself was small but very clean and well kept. The finishes were expected. It is a $300 room-and honestly that’s a deal considering you are right across the street from the pentagon and Arlington…yall this is a great deal. We’ve paid much higher in large cities with less to speak of. Pay the price.

Let me tell you what is worth the money. The club level experience!! Spend that money. We were on the 18th floor and the food was an experience. The concierge in the lounge was impeccable. Professional. Attentive. And anticipated things. It’s magic what they produce out of that tiny little room of their kitchen! All day long there is something to eat up there…I was remarkably surprised at the depth of food for breakfast, lunch and appetizers! Adult beverages were served -and again…I was shocked at the depth of choices in that tiny space.

We did have a reception after the burial and it was also great. The desserts were like tiny works of art. The blasts of flavor in every bite.

Solomon was our check out bellman and he was the cherry at the end of the trip.

The only rude staff we ran into was the check in fella and honestly…on the “importance of the trip” I give him a 1. Pay the money for the club level. You won’t regret it.

It's a lovely hotel, the restaurant/bar was delicious 😋 however, did not appreciate my room number being relayed out loud though. My room was a good but someone forgot to empty the trash in the bathroom.

We stayed here over the weekend for the Army Ten Miler, it was very nice and convenient. They have a kids check in station where your kids get a check in gift, both my kids loved it. The staff was really nice at check in, we had maddy (I believe that was her name)helping us and she wad great. The rooms were nice and clean. The hotel isn't as luxurious as other Ritz that I have stayed but it was nice and clean like I said and convenient. We had a nice view from the hotel as well. In the morning the walk was quick to the pentagon for the run. When we came back from the run at the entrance of the hotel they had set up a table with fruit, Gatorade, and granola bars which was awesome, wasn't expecting it. They also gave my daughter a scavenger packet which once completed she received additional gifts, and they threw in an additional plush for my 3 year old. Parking is valet, or you can opt for the mall parking which is $20 for 24hr parking. Overall experience was great I would stay here again for next years run.

This hotel has earned every star. From the moment I checked in until the moment I checked out, I felt seen and cared for by the staff.

Check-in was easy despite it being early in the day. The room was big and clean and comfortable. The TV is huge!

The gym is well equipped with cardio and weights. It’s got complimentary apples and water for guests. Bathrooms have showers and lockers.

Sante bartenders Dino and Robert were so nice. Dino asked my name and Robert used it 15 min later. That never happens. Until now.

As I was leaving, the doorman suggested that an umbrella may be necessary. I declined it but loved that way he gently asked.

They have free postcards in the lobby and a mailbox right next to it. I’m a person who likes to send postcards so this impressed me.

This hotel is immediately next to a metro stop, making it quite convenient. It’s 2 stops from DCA and 4 from the City.

I’d stay here again.

The location was excellent. Next door to a great shopping mall. Good thing because there was a good court. The hotel restaurant wanted $60 for a ribeye. Just cause you can afford it doesn't mean you should.

My husband and I celebrated my birthday here for a few days. We had an amazing time! The location was perfect (literally connected to the Pentagon City Mall). The restaurant was top tier with fabulous cuisine and fantastic drinks. The atmosphere was chic and luxurious, yet warm and comfy. The staff was welcoming and very helpful/accommodating. Overall wonderful experience at the Ritz!

I can't say enough good things about this hotel, but the excellent service was the highlight. From friendly front desk staff who offer a glass of champagne at check in, to housekeeping who somehow always seems to have impeccable timing, the staff are truly the best. The hotel smells fresh, and the room was immaculately clean. Room service, when ordered, showed up quickly. Additionally, the location is great, literally right on top of a metro station. Have had two great stays here so far, and will be back in the future.

Love the location (near Pentagon and Amazon HQ) and hospitality! The front desk staff, doorman, concierge, and any staff we encountered at the Ritz was very kind and helpful. Top marks for a spacious and clean king room on concierge level, with access to the amazing club. Shout out to Sonja, Mulu, and Solomon who provided us a welcome and generous stay for almost a week! Additionally, valet parking was prompt and useful, with us coming and going multiple times a day. Cannot wait to visit again!

Great hotel to stay at. Great service. Especially as an avid traveler I appreciate the small things like a nespresso machine in the room.

Our stay was perfect. The location was great and we loved having the mall next door. Valet was convenient and the staff were amazing. Khan at the front desk provided excellent customer service. He was so kind to give our son candy bars! 😊 The room had so much charm. I loved the Nespresso machine and mini bar. The rooms were also quiet and I've never slept better in a hotel. Thank you!!

It might seem hard to imagine, but there is a fantastic luxury hotel wedding venue tucked away in the middle of Fashion Centre at Pentagon City. The Ritz-Carlton has a location at that mall, and it's a great place to married! We photographed a wedding there a little while ago, and we loved every part of the experience. Most notably, Jessica Dankos and her awesome team were so awesome to work with! We found them so helpful and friendly throughout the entire wedding. And we also saw them take that same approach with the couple. We could see everything the Ritz-Carlton, Pentagon City team did to make their day special, and we came away very impressed!
