First Lift Coffee

This place was recommended to us and I’m glad we went. They have great coffee and tea. The coffee shop is attached to the hotel but not part of the lobby. Great for quick snacks and sandwiches as well. The hotel is really cool to check out even if you don’t stay there. Staff is super nice and friendly.

If you are in Huntsville and you love coffee, you should visit this great shop. I ran three and a half miles to get my cappuccino this morning, so I would have been fine with an okay roast since this is the only cafe around. I was pleasantly surprised when I was met with a decent cappuccino. The reason First Lift gets a 5 star is because of its ambiance. It has a bit of indoor seating with a cute shop and a truly lovely outdoor area that allowed for a beautiful start to my day. Definitely go here, you will not be disappointed.

Inside the large Compass Rose building. Latte was good. Husband's blueberry muffin was unexpectedly warmed up and it was very good. As you can see, there is a very nice outside area with an interesting arrangement to enjoy while drinking coffee. And a very pleasant employee. And a park across the street. And other shops. Just a nice place to drive to for a change of pace.

Got a latte yadda yadda, milk was perfectly steamed and roast was delicious! My only complaint is that small is, well, small, (10oz,) though that's my fault. (Shoulda looked!) Great place to stop for a latte, though a little pricier than some other options. I love the atmosphere and the kombucha cooler, as well. Best cafe in the valley, good job!

The atmosphere here is great. It's very cozy inside, not too loud and the coffee is pretty good. The baristas were polite and friendly. Seems like a great place to settle in and enjoy a coffee.

The coffee shop is new and very inviting - set in the center of the small, charming town of Huntsville. The service was friendly and the coffee was very good. Great place to make a quick stop. Well recommended!

Probably the most perfect coffee shop I have ever been to. The spaciousness, the coffee, the vibe, the people, there is nothing I would change and would love a replica on the east coast!

i had a really great barista make the yummiest hotchoco for a bad day i’ve had, he listened to me rant and was very kind the whole time! love this place will be back again!

I really enjoyed discovering this gem of a coffee shop in Huntsville. The quality of the coffee was top notch and the service was wonderful. I had a dirty chai and it was one of the best I have had. The setting is amazing! The lodge it is attached to looks like a great place to stay. The place had a unique kind of zen to it...

Amazing soup and pretzels. Nice outdoor fire to enjoy coffee together 6 feet apart.

What a darling place. I had a tea. It was $1.41. Where does that happen anymore? Service was lovely. Facilities were wonderful. I want to go back and sit on the patio. #huntsvillesquare #ogdenvalley

Great local coffee place with quaint and ample seating. Service was awesome and I got a true Macchiato, so good! Pay them a visit at the new building in old town Huntsville, you won't be disappointed!

The best Chai Latte I've ever had. Completely homemade with local diary! Will be back purely for that deliciousness and to try everything else :D

Good coffee in a nice small mountain town. Friendly staff who remade my drink after I spilled it getting into my car. Great atmosphere for those in the mountains and skiers. Great views of surrounding mountains as well.

Update to this review. First Lift is now open until 6pm. This is great. Coffee is well made, baristas are friendly and helpful, snacks are tasty and the cold brew is bomb-diggity!

One of the better coffee shops I’ve been to. Absolutely love the vibe, and they’re one of the few shops that I’ve ever seen with hemp milk available for use. The hours of the coffee shop are a bit limited, but if you’re in the area and they’re open, I’d highly recommend a visit.

Just moved to the area and this is by far the best coffee I've ever had. Wonderful service and the nicest property to sit and do work or just enjoy the day. Definitely coming back alot!

This coffee shop and hotel was impressive to say the least. The staff was extremely kind and courteous! This place is filled with Olympic ski memorabilia from the same family who owns the property. If you ever visit, ask the barista a few questions about the skis and photos on the wall! Can’t wait to visit again.
