Matt and Bryn at Hegeman & Co are amazing. My now husband designed an amazing custom engagement ring with them using a unique blue-green tourmaline and diamonds. I love it and get complements all the time. And the H& Co. designed our wedding bands that are so classy and special and exactly what we wanted.
They also designed the pendant I wore at the wedding- it was so stunning and I plan to pass these special pieces on to my daughter.

Matt and the Hegeman team customized the perfect low-profile halo engagement ring that my fiancé could not be happier with. I love their process of generating both a 3D rendering and a 3D model to allow for any changes before the final product is created. I went to four other jewelers during my shopping around and did not see that anywhere else. They were also the only jeweler who could meet my short timeline without sacrificing anything I wanted.

Absolutely in love with my custom diamond bands that Hegeman created for me! Matt was so easy to work with and we were able to custom design the rings right there in the store. Would absolutely recommend them to anyone in need a jewelry help. They were extremely knowledgeable, honest and fair with pricing and I felt very well taken care of. Matt helped customize the perfect engagement ring for my fiance. His attention to detail and master of his craft was truly apparent in the final product. They utilize a 3D modeling system to render custom designs based off your preferences. I was a little nervous at first going custom vs out of the box, but I'm so glad I went the custom route. After multiple 3D renderings, we ended up with the finished product which they actually 3D print and send to you before production. My fiance now has a one of a kind piece that incorporated all of the elements she wanted in her ring and was ecstatic with the final result. I would also add that going custom gives you complete control over the cost of the ring so you can stay within your budget and still get exactly what you want. I highly recommend going custom, and if you're going custom, you absolutely need to go see Matt. Fantastic work and I will be back in the future for more custom pieces!

Nothing short of spectacular!
Matthew is a shinning example of how to treat brand new customers: compassion, understanding, informative, honest.
Not once did I ever feel pressured to be lured in to his brand vs anyone else's. Simply gives you a big portfolio to see if it is anything that might interest you and if nothing appeals then feel free to go on about your day.
What I found amazing is how customizable the ring making actually is. From the prongs, to the diamonds karat size and even engraving. Matt and his team can do it up well!
Even cooler was the whole process is shown from start to finish via a 3D specs (I forgot the programs name LOL) and even 3D printed before you give the final word to make the ring.
Every step of the way Matthew would show me how it was going up until it was finished.
What I found particularly great was how lenient Matt was when it came to pick up the ring. Circumstances came up and it hindered my ability to purchase the ring when it was finished. Thankfully, Matthew was OK with me waiting almost a whole month (with emails in between explaining the situations) to pick it up without worrying of any fees or losing the ring entirely.

I know my soon-to-be fiance is going to adore the ring and I couldn't be more grateful!

We had an incredible experience at Hegeman. Matt was so patient and collaborative in helping us create our ideal wedding rings. I couldn’t have imagined a better experience, and I’m thrilled to have supported a local business.

Matt is truly a wonderful and skilled jeweler. I was lucky to find him in Providence. I was in need of repairs on a couple of pieces of jewelry and he actually completely reset a diamond ring for me that turned out better than what I brought into him. He provided state of the art 3D imagining and a keen attention to detail. I will continue to frequent his shop and support him for what I imagine will be a very long career as a master jeweler. He knows his stuff!

Ordered a platinum wedding band with some custom engraving. It's absolutely beautiful. I think they did a fabulous job with the design, and I'm really glad I chose them. Would definitely use for any jewelry in the future. Not cheap but definitely feel like I got my money's worth. Matt and co are also excellent to work with.

This place deserves 10 stars! I took different pieces of jewelry to fix here and it has been always wonderful results. My most recent project was to do something with an ugly yellow gold ring that I got from my grandmother. She passed away many years ago, and the ring was the only piece I had from her. Hegeman jewelers did a miracle - my ugly dirty ring turned into a gorgeous pendant with an accompanying little ring with the authentic Russian jewelry stamps on it. I can’t stress enough the difference between the old ring and this new pendant. Now I can proudly wear it and feel happy for preserving the memory of my grandmother. Everything about working with Hegeman business has been very pleasant, professional, and price friendly. I highly recommend this place to everyone!! A++

The father and son staff are both very knowledgeable about gemstones and jewelry design. They are also both extremely pleasant to work with. I've been purchasing jewelry from them since they opened a location in Providence. On this last visit I had a ring custom made for my wife and we were both extremely happy with the results. They are definitely our go-to jewelry store.

Hegeman & Co. is now our go-to jeweler. Matthew did an amazing job reconfiguring a family ring into an amazing personalized engagement ring AND worked with us to design a fantastically beautiful custom wedding ring. On top of that he was able to quickly make adjustments to some other wedding jewelry at the very last minute. They’re extremely personable, friendly and accommodating.

This review is way overdue!!! I needed to sell my diamonds and made several calls to jewelers and Hegeman was one. I was told to come and in and would be assisted.Well, not only was I assisted, the wonderful Lady, went above and beyond. At that time, she wasn’t able to purchase my rings but she spent over an hour of her time cleaning and educating me on how a jeweler values the quality of diamonds. So with that appraisal info in hand and shiny diamonds, I knew what to expect for an offer. She did All this at no expense to me! I’m looking forward to going back and personally thanking her again. She was a Godsend in a stressful time. Thanks so much for all the help and honesty. By the way, her appraisal was spot on according to four other jewelers. It was a great feeling knowing that people are still honest and value integrity.

Michele helped my boyfriend (now fiance) with the ins and outs of engagement rings. He found her to be extremely helpful and thorough in her explanations and she walked him through the entire process. I absolutely love how the ring came out and how much she cared to learn about me and my personality before helping him with a ring.

Michele ( with one L) at Hegeman & Co was an absolute pleasure to work with. I put my trust in her and her amazing staff to resize and essentially re-work the entire band of my beautiful, but VERY delicate, brand new engagement ring. She was refreshingly honest from the beginning and extremely knowledgeable of her craft, which made me feel like I was in excellent hands. The original band was only 1mm in thickness. The ring is also extra special because it has my grandmother's diamond in the center. Michele explained to me the importance of making sure the prongs were in the proper places, as the diamond is chipped around the edges from it's old setting.

I am beyond amazed and grateful for the gorgeous work that was done to make this very special ring more durable.
