Aurora Sleep Medicine

2 sleep studies for me, 2 for my hubby. And 1 follow up apt so far. Easy location to get to on Loomis just north of I894. The staff has been very nice. I had 2 very different experiences for my sleep studies. I felt very unprepared and self conscious for my 1st 1. My 2nd was much smoother. I highly recommend Kelly, she was awesome, she made me feel at ease and the study went well. The overnight rooms are very nice, like a hotel, private bathroom (not shown in photos.) If you do a sleep study here, don't be afraid to ask all the 'silly' questions you have, bring what makes you comfortable. The 1 apt we have been to was easy - follow ups are in the same office. (Photo of the building is the back door) - lots of parking in back, wheelchair accessible in from and back.

They make you feel at ease, despite the awkward circumstances. Make sure you bring your own soap, shampoo, and conditioner.

First time here. Very good experience. Taken right away. Dr. listened and was understanding and compassionate. Highly recommend.

Hope you have nothing to do for the rest of the day because your time means nothing and the staff does not keep you updated on how long you will wait. Be on time all you want you'll never get out without waiting 15 to 20 mins before your appointment.

Hi, very dissatisfied . can never reach a person, always leaving a message. i am having sleep issues related to my CPAP machine setting. Need assistance

Typical AURORA Company that can care lees about you and care only about money . Spent 15 minutes giving up all info including insurance the they tell you 2 months wait to get in. open 7 days a week and have to wait 2 months

Don’t be 5 minutes late to your appointment. They’ll make you wait if you are, even though they make you wait 15-20 minutes to see the doctor. Your time isn’t important, theirs is.

Spoke to the advocate named Alejandro. I told him I didn’t want the sleep study if my insurance wasn’t covering it on full, depending on price. The home sleep study is $1000 and he said my insurance would cover 90-95% after checking it. Turns out the bill came to $290 and they sent it to collections. Since it went to collections, they increased bill to $400. They didn’t send me no letter or gave me a phone call regarding I owed them money prior sending to collections. These people deserve hell. Stay away from them.

Dr Katzoff is not willing to listen to what I have had to say. He seems to think he knows it all and does not care to listen to his patients. I asked for help in getting a replacement mask for my sleep apnea machine. He said get it from Amazon. Amazon doesn't sell these items! Now my mask no longer fits because it is so old. Not sure where to get parts and his front desk receptionist are no help and seem clueless to ansering the most basic questions.

Would not recommend. Billing sends you to collections after 1.5 months and when you receive your bill you don't receive an itemized explanation of service. Facility only wants their money quota. Did the at home sleep study and wanted me to do the in house one. Wouldn't recommend

Make sure you do your own pre-authorization with your insurance. Dr Katzoff pushed me into to an advanced overnight sleep study (instead of going with the cheaper take-home study first) which I agreed to only if it was covered... he said his staff would validate that for me. I did the overnight study, which showed no issues, and my insurance company denied the claim because they required a failed take home study first before approving the advanced overnight version. I ultimately was on the hook for over $5000 because of his lie. In hindsight, the questionnaires I filled out beforehand all showed I was unlikely to have sleep apnea anyway, which made the advanced overnight study seem even more unnecessary. I would avoid this place, and Dr Katzoff if I were you. Find someplace more honest.
