Buckeye Jake's Eatery

This was our first visit and we will be back! The potato skins were delicious! The Cuban burger was so messy but so good! The white Mac and cheese is a must try! The boneless wings with Caribbean jerk sauce were outstanding. We didn’t have to wait too long for a table and the staff was great. We decided we will go back frequently and work our way through the menu! This is definitely a hidden gem in West Alexandria!

This was my first time at Buckeye Jake’s. It’s a nice cozy place. Prices were great. Our waitress was friendly and did a wonderful job. I would recommend the club sandwich!! We had fried pickles which were delicious. My husband got the bbq trio which was really good too.

Update: 8.26.23 We came in for dinner around 8 pm. on a Saturday night , and sat outside. There was a band playing. Im not sure who it was, but they were pretty good. We chose 2 appetizers, shrimp cocktails, and fried pickles. Both were great. I ordered the open faced brisket again and loved it. There is so much flavor, probably my favorite dinner they offer. My husband had the ribeye steak that was cooked perfectly and a baked potato. I also enjoyed a margarita. Looking forward to our next visit.

Onion rings were really good. Would get them again. The brisket hot shot was delicious! There are mashed potatoes hidden under all the meat & gravy. My husband loved the chicken dinner. The chicken was cooked perfectly. We will definitely be back.

What a wonderful gem in West Alexandria. The restaurant is set in a old home, it was nicely decorated and clean. The waitress was attentive and kind. The food was amazing, and great portions. We will definitely be back.

Why haven't you ate here yet? I cannot believe it took us so long to dine here. This place is AMAZING. We arrived at 8pm and were more than welcomed. We ordered ribs and brisket and it was PHENOMENAL. The beer was cold and the service was quick and personable. The space is so cute and quaint but plentiful. HUUUGE INSIDE. We ate well for the price and cannot wait to return! Go Go Go!!!!

One of the delights of long road trips is finding local gems, whether places to eat, natural surroundings or other interesting things.

Buckeye Jake's was one of these gems. Do yourself a favor and dine there!

An amazing gem in a small town.

The food is phenomenal and the atmosphere is quaint and very enjoyable. I've only sat outside so I'm not familiar with the inside but I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

I live just a few miles from this place and I've made it my "regular" dining place as of late.

Went for dinner in Eaton at our typical spot but they were very crowed with people standing in line. We know sometimes we could be standing about an hour before anyone decides to leave so I got on google to find something close we could head to. That’s when I came upon Buckeye Jakes! Luckily we were sat down when we arrived. Dani our waitress suggested the spring rolls for an appetizer and they did not disappoint. We were tickled to see filets on the menu since that’s what we intended on at the other restaurant. Loved the variety of side options they offered. I got my filet medium with brussel sprouts and salad and he got his filet medium rare with mac & cheese and salad. They came out perfectly cooked! They were very flavorful and the sides were also very good. The brussel sprouts were in a vinaigrette possibly and had a wonderful taste. While eating our dinner we noticed some of the pictures on the wall and asked if they were the house years ago. Dani told us a bit about the home and said we should take a tour of the house and look at the other pictures of the home and family that once owned it. She did a wonderful job taking care of us and answering all of our questions. We did take a look around the home and it was neat to see the old family memories in the pics throughout. The place was very clean and the atmosphere was great. We will definitely be back!

This was a pleasant experience dining outside on the patio. Everyone enjoyed their food. The staff were very friendly and attentive.
Would definitely recommend this place for those looking for a delicious meal.

Ive tried most of the menu it’s all been perfect. We always have a good time here the food and service is great.

Excellent pulled pork,bbq brisket, and mac and cheese. Family owned. Family friendly. Overall, it was a great experience.

The manager seated and served us and gave us great service. The food was great. The atmosphere was peaceful and conducive to private conversation.

One of our favorite places to take the family. Excellent American cuisine; hamburger, steaks, salmon and the best is their on-site smoked barbecue. Cami was our server this last visit and many times before, she's absolutely wonderful! Great food, great atmosphere and great prices. You will not be disappointed.

Buckeye Jakes is always a fav. Recently, we needed a large portion of takeout for an event. On top of not only the food being prepared and packaged on time and the response time to my request being next to immediate, it was also presented with single servings of BBQ sauce and buns wrapped tightly for the main course. If you ever need a wonderful dinner, takeout for an event, or catering overall, this place is it. You will not regret it! Thank you Adriene and Shawn!

Excellent staff and the food is amazing. We enjoy going there. We took family from California there and they loved it.

Had the Reuben sandwich and French onion soup. Both were incredible. Will definitely be back for more of that amazing soup

Buckeye Jake's Eatery is an Excellent West Alexander restaurant providing kids meals to delicious entres. Service was perfect!

I absolutely love this place. They have top quality food for an awesome price. My mom and dad had never been there and now they have been there twice this week. Thank you buckeye Jake's for your quality service and food for the right price.... the owners are absolutely humble and kind.
