I’ve always been surprised by how reasonable the prices are for their fresh fruit and vegetables at the Green Organic Market on Central Park Avenue in Hartsdale. Their staff is wonderfully helpful and they really have an amazing selection of prepared foods as well as everything you might possibly want. I’m also a big fan of Three Twins Ice Cream snd they had a nice selection of their unique flavors in addition to other brands.

Excellent prices and a wonderful variety of healty food options. The Vitamin Store side is also superb with a wide selection and superior customer service. My favorite health food store in Westchester County!

They had everything I was looking for plus more. Grand variety of vegan yogurts and plant based meats, milks, and cheese. Variety of vegan chips and chocolates too.

My favorite place in entire east coast I live now in SC and I fly to NY every 3 months to visit family and my first stop is here!! I stack up with my fav supplements and other goodies

Green Organic Market is a gem. I have been shopping there since they opened. It's an antidote to a Whole Foods because it's small but a very well stocked local market. The produce is always fresh and organic. Their vegan cheeses are unmatched anywhere. The prices are comparable and even better than other natural food stores.

I regularly buy my supplements and body care supplies at the vitamin store just a couple of doors down from the food store. The prices are unmatched anywhere even on Amazon. They have great sales and the store is so well stocked with many choices. Izzy and Matt are quite knowledgeable and helpful about their products. I would highly recommend this store.

The shop is very well organized.
All the greens are protected from drying by a see through plastic film.
Everything is fresh and beautifully laid out.
The organic potatoes are sold in bulk which is rare.

LOVE this store, the selection, the Freshness and the Vitamin Shop.
Only Con: Pricey!

The selection here is quite good considering the footprint of the store, and they carry a lot of my favorite brands that I'd otherwise need to buy from Whole Foods.

Prices are pretty reasonable for the shelf-stable goods, though the dairy and meat section is somewhat on the higher side.

I typically come here for last minute ingredients, especially when I need a specialty brand or organic. The Alden's ice cream (one of my favorites) always seems to be on sale too, which is a nice perk!

Consistently clean store. Reasonable, for organic, prices. Fresh stuff.. One of the few stores that stocks plain Brown Cow yogurt. Also a wide variety of heart friendly plant based yogurts and cheeses. Never had a problem with any of the staff. Only personal issue is all their soup is spiced to the gills. And they don't carry Chocolate Edensoy or any European soya brands.

Vitamin store is well stocked and maintained, very neat, clean and organized. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Able to make special orders, great communication in answering questions, alerting me when orders are ready, letting me know if items are available or not. Mainly shop in the vitamin store, but same with grocery store, associates let me know if items are available to order or not, if I can't find what I'm looking for. I always look forward to coming here, and I never dread shopping here due to things that may happen at other places such as long lines, inadequate staff availability, limited parking, out of stock items, or issues at check-out.

Green Organic Market is my favorite health food store, where I can find items I can't find anywhere else, at prices a little lower than most similar stores. They even have a separate store for supplements, with knowledgeable staff. High quality foods.

I love this place! I just became a vegan about 2 months ago & this place is the way to go if you’re a vegan, vegetarian or pescatarian. They have EVERYTHING & the prices are great! I buy all my groceries here. They make salad bowls, smoothies, & also sandwiches. They carry a lot of vegan burgers as well. Not to mention everything is fresh & the store is always above & beyond clean. The staff is very helpful & professional. I love trying different vegan recipes & I can always find every single item that I need.

I’m updating from 3 to 5 stars! They improved a lot over the last 2 years. The people are great. We love it there.

The 3 stars are for the products carried and pricing. Here’s a quick overview of the pros and cons.
Pros:
Best pricing of organic food around
Competitive selections
Carries organic bread alone bread (hard to find outside of Whole Foods)
There are often sales
Cons:
Staff is usually terrible. Rude and not customer centered ... at all!
Food that is on sale is usually rotten or going bad. Including meat 🥴
Return policy is outrageous and if they do allow a return (even for rotten chicken on ‘final’ sale purchased hours before) they mock and give you the third degree with comments like ‘we’re not trader joes’ ... which makes me wonder why I don’t take my business there?!
I’ve purchased milk with a missing seal. When I called to have this handled I was lectured.
Did I mention customer service sucks?
Very narrow aisles. Impossible to shop with standard size carts.

Hate to say we need more markets that sell real food but the cons almost outweigh the pros here.

Ironically the vitamin shop a few doors down is wonderful both in quality, pricing and customer service. Wish that translated for the grocery store.

I only wish I lived closer. So much better variety and pricing than Whole Foods or Mrs Greens. Their vitamin store boasts employees who actually know and care about the products. You’ll be surprised a small store could be this good. It’s rare.

This is one of the best health food stores around. They carry a large stock of high quality items (some hard to find) at decent prices. This is a great store for vegans. The store manager is very approachable and willing to order products based on customer request. I give this place ten stars!

The best health foods market...ever! Honestly, if their meat was a little cheaper I would do all of my grocery shopping here! They have the best whole wheat wraps, cinnamon raisin sandwich bread, and prepared foods (and all cheaper than Whole Foods). They also have some unique items you can't find anywhere else! On top of their amazing products (and I'm not an "organic" fad guy) and great prices, they also have super friendly staff!
