Cute little bookstore near lark street.

They have a great selection and usually some free books outside.
It's a lovely spot, conveniently near many restaurants and shoppes. Just keep in mind with alternate parking it can be hard to find a good spot.
It's definitely worth taking a look.

I love this place with all my heart. You can find almost every book you’ve ever wanted here. Many of them look as though they’ve never been touched. Most copies I pickup are under $7. Hardcovers are more expensive of course but only $10-12 on average. Beats the original price anyways so you really cannot complain. Every $10 you spend you receive a purple dollar that you can use towards your next purchase!!!!

Something for everyone, great selection, and it’s a nice touch that the owner gives you “Dove & Hudson Dollars” for future purchases! A great local bookstore.

I found a lot of fantastic books at Dove & Hudson and they were all at phenomenal prices as well! The gentleman at the counter (Gary I believe) helped me search the treasure troves of books because I am a new customer and didn't know the store layout. I was recommended to the store by students from University Of Albany and my professor as well, within the first 3 weeks of my first semester this Spring. They even gave me three purple bucks to get started!
All in all I am vastly satisfied with Dove and Hudson and will surely shop there again.

Dove & Hudson has fantastic selections. Clean, fresh energy exudes. Has outdoor seating and delicious indoor discoveries. Joseph, the Owner, is as lovely as you could want and an eye for the details. A community treasure!!

Been coming for a while, and decided it was time to publicly express my appreciation. This is a great used bookstore that is well organized with great prices and a very good selection. The owner, Joseph, is very sweet and also very knowledgeable. I love the purple dollar system. It's fun to build them up and then get a book for free (or very cheap). If you like used bookstores, there is no way you won't love it.

A true gem. One of best bookstores that I've been to, globally. They have a strong selection of items in nice condition for reasonable prices. I am an academic, and they offer a nicely curated selection of historical texts for my needs, as well as collections for practically all other foreseeable needs. Their staff is also lovely.

Love this book store, but doesn't everyone. They gave me a fair price for some good used books I had but I immediately gave him the money back was because they have so many good used books lol. I'll be back.

Great bookstore with books in very good to excellent condition and very reasonable prices. They also buy books from you. We found everything book we wanted plus some.
This is a great bookstore, I recommend going if you want to find a book and not pay full price.
The owner/guy who check us out for our purchase was knowledgeable and very kind.

Very nice bookstore. I've driven by this place for years and never stopped because I wasn't sure if it was open and I'm not in that area too often. I happened to be in the area so my friend and I decided to pop in.
Very clean and organized. Deceiving as well as we imagined it would be tiny inside. The age old adage applies "Don't judge a book by it's cover".
The quality of the "used" books were as if they were new. The prices are very reasonable as well.
Nice gem!! I will definitely be visiting this bookstore again.
