Went there on May 3rd for a kayak tournament at a lake nearby… this is really nice hotel , very clean , parking lot in the back , restaurant and bar . Probably one of the best pizza I ever had and good selection of draft beers . Owner is very welcoming and friendly. I suggest this hotel for anybody that visiting this small town or going do activities on the lake which is 5 minutes ride down the road to the public launch.

The minute I walked through the door of the hotel, I felt like I was home. The hospitality was exceptional! The staff was well trained, extremely helpful and very knowledgeable! The chef and his food were exceptional.
By far, the devil was in the details, when the owners set their minds in making everyone comfortable.
I shall return!

My wife Lyli and I stayed in the Chapman Carriage house atThe Historic Hotel Broadalbin for 2 days and had a delicious meal with friends at the 1854 Pub Restaurant. Dave was so kind and personally met us at the front door to go over our room & its amenities. It was a spacious well-kept room with a comfortable King bed that was more than important for this old man with a bad back. We will definitely be a return customer in the future. :)

My husband and I recently dined here for the first time. We've driven past this hotel a zillion times and watched it go from a state of disrepair to dramatic and much needed restoration. We went on a Tuesday (Mexican Night) as it was one of the few restaurants that was open. It was my birthday. The two owners, a husband and wife team were delightful, the service was very good and our two sandwiches, the Hot Italian, and a classic Rueben were too much to eat in one meal. Both were delicious and well prepared/seasoned. I had the pleasure of speaking with the two owners, and the stories surrounding this hotel are many and varied. You need to try this place out! The hotel reeks of mid 19th century atmosphere and is a must see and go.

This was such a beautiful location. Has the feel of stepping back in time. Owner was very kind and informative. Highly recommend this location. Will look into going back. Everything was very clean and very comfortable rest.

Found it on the haunted history trail of new york state, definitely found it to be a paranormally active location with friendly experiences.

*Would love to see them add a mini fridge to the rooms. I can not complain at all about the place.*

What an incredible stay at the Historic Broadalbin Hotel. The Inn is truly breathtaking with an impressive Christmas theme tucked into each corner. We felt warm and it was so welcoming. Please run do not walk to this quaint town. It was absolutely amazing in every way.

Great food and drinks, lots of different options. Just make sure to make a reservation if it’s before 7.

You will not be disappointed ! The rooms are beautiful and spotlessly clean. Food and spirits at the attached "1854" were fabulous. The owners are charming and accommodating; they have earned our business on every level. Skip the hotel chains and support a local establishment in a delightful small town; you'll be happy you did!

We had such a great time here. Hotel is beautiful, like taking a step back in time. The hotel is super clean, beds were comfortable. Restaurant was closed for be the night so we didn't get a chance to try the food. Staff were very nice and helpful. Not too much to do in the area but was a nice relaxing visit. Would stay again for sure.

Historic Hotel Broadalbin was great! My wife and I stopped for the night and came away very impressed. Rooms were clean, tidy, and updated (with a historic flair). Two great porches to sit out on, and a really nice pub downstairs. The food was excellent. Most importantly the service is fantasitic and the owners are responsive and obviously take pride in their establishment.

Our cousins have stayed here several times over the past two years and they had positive things to say, so our expectations were high. Historic Hotel Broadalbin did not disappoint. Though the mattress in our room was a little soft for our taste, the service was top notch! We were able to sneak in for a nightcap at The bar just after closing on our first night in town, Dave (the owner) checked in with us the following afternoon to ensure we were happy with our sightseeing, and everything we tried for Saturday dinner was delicious (beans and greens soup, chicken wings, white pizza, sausage and pepperoni pizza). If you find yourself in the vicinity of Great Sacandaga Lake, you should definitely give Historic Hotel Broadalbin a try!

We ate here a few times before Covid and the food was good, atmosphere better. We recently went again and we are still talking about it. The food! I got the schnitzel and it was outstanding! We also received great service for an extra large group. We can’t wait to return and try everything else.

A million times better than staying at any hotel chain. Beautiful decor, pristine rooms and a polite, friendly staff. Nice quiet area. There's a room with a coffee maker and REAL cream (not that powdered junk you'd probably get elsewhere).

Michele (hopefully that's spelled correctly) in housekeeping, is on top of everything! She checked daily to see if there was anything we needed and freshened up our room twice (by request). I don't mean to sound like a spoiled brat (I know how to make a bed) but there's nothing better than coming back to a freshly made bed and a clean room after a long day of being out and about while on vacation. Try requesting this in a hotel chain now (post - pandemic) and see if that request even gets honored.

We ate at the restaurant twice and both times the food and service were excellent. There was one waitress we had the pleasure of interacting with both times. One of the days seemed especially busy and I have never seen someone work so hard yet not show an ounce of irritation or frustration towards the customer. That, to me, speaks volumes as that type of service is very rare. I wish I got her name because she deserves to be recognized.

I really can't say anything negative about this place. My experiences may seem insignificant to some but those who appreciate excellent service combined with a little something different from the norm will totally get it and should definitely check this place out.

Hoping to come back next year. Thank you to The Historic Hotel Broadalbin owners and staff for your hospitality!

A very unique historical place. It has been several things over it's historical experience.
Decor most original, bar & restaurant, fireplace lounge area in the back just like home living room.

This is a nice change up from the routine chain motel. A key word to keep in mind is, "historic." The exterior and lobby could use a little more restoration but the room was in great condition, clean and recently painted. Just don't expect a mini fridge or microwave and you won't disappointed. No free breakfast but breakfast available in dining room on Saturday and Sunday. Food was excellent and moderately priced. Service was beyond outstanding.

What an adorable hotel! The rooms were perfect and exactly what we were looking for. The restaurant downstairs was such a nice atmosphere and the owners were amazing and treated you like family. If I ever have the need to travel back to NY, I wouldn't hesitate to book my stay here!

An amazing experience. Peaceful evenings on the balcony, where rocking chairs are inviting and games await in the coffee table. Room was very comfortable. I usually stay in a chain hotel but this experience has changed that probably forever. Dave was amazing, fun to hear the history of the building along with the stories of renovating. I highly recommend staying here. On this visit the kitchen was closed but I have eaten here in the past and the food was also amazing. I was there for a Sunday brunch and it was incredible.

We really enjoyed eating dinner on the porch. Our dogs were welcomed, and treated as guests. The food was yummy. Our server was so attentive and sweet.
