I had a blast at Bitter Honey. Their Mezcal selection was unbelievable, and Jared mixed wonderful cocktails. Bitter Honey was crowded with a fun crowd on this Friday night in late January. I was decades older than anyone else, but no one cared. People conversed and laughed with me. The food was pretty good too. Bitter Honey would be great for groups. Rochester is a fun town.

First time going there. The food was awesome. The waiter and service was great. The drinks were right on time. I got a hamburger with a sunny side egg on top. OMG tastes so good ❤❤😋😋😋

We held our wedding rehearsal dinner at Bitter Honey, and I have to tell you that it was one of the BEST decisions we made for the whole wedding weekend. The food and experience are still talked about months later! Right from the start, the staff welcomed us for even touring the space and considering them as an option. The booking process was seamless and the answer to just about every question was "yes." It couldn't have been more lovely, and this was before the event even started! We were setup for cocktail hour style snacks and cocktails before a sit down dinner in the back left area of the restaurant. Even though it is part of the main dining room, it felt so private and intimate. We were able to talk to everyone, get up and walk around, and the servers were ON TOP OF IT. Drinks were flowing and they even packed everything up for us to take leftovers when we had more than expected with guests who couldn't attend due to travel issues. It was just the perfect kick-off for my husband-to-be and I. Thank you, Bitter Honey! We are already planning the next event that we can hold with you, can't wait!

Food was excellent, venue is gorgeous, cocktails are as original as they are delectable, bartender and service staff were second to none, but they did seem short staffed and overworked, leading to some long wait times, and I got someone else's beef chimichanga instead of the pork I ordered. Either way, it was all delicious and I can't recommend this place enough.

This place as just amazing! The atmosphere was so trendy and airy and I for one am obsessed!!!! The berry margarita was just delicious so of course I ordered 2! We also got the queso, chicken nachos and I got 2 tacos and whole it was a little pricey I didn't really mind because the quality was great and I believe you're also paying for great service which we got. Definitely will be going back!

Excellent fresh Mexican food in a with a contemporary industrial vibe in a hundred year old building. The service, atmosphere and food was fantastic. Definitely recommended and we will be back. My only complaint is with the parking lot situation across the street. The lot was full and we had to pay to leave the lot for free parking in the Public Market just down the road. They offered a code to make that parking free, but not until we got in the building. It was only $3, but the principle was irritating.

Holy cow. I can't believe people rated this place below 5 stars. The only reason might be the cost of some menu items, but even then, the quality and quantity of food is great, fair and amazing!

We ordered the nachos as an appetizer, which were amazing fresh chips with all the fixings and perfectly seasoned. I ordered the vegetarian tamales - delicious, flavorful and full of vibrantly colored fresh veggies. My date ordered the vegetarian local mushroom tamales, which were made in a corn husk with masa flour and an amazing creamy mushroom sauce.

We also ordered the masa cornbread. I can't even explain how good this was, doused in honey and nice and crumbly. Amazing!

The decor is amazing as well, with modern finishes, a few very eclectic accent walls, a well-designed bar space in an old warehouse, with covered outdoor seating and delicious drinks to boot. My date ordered the margarita - likely one of the best margaritas I've tasted.

Excellent experience. We'll be back for our next date night! You win over ANY other restaurant of this style in our book by a long shot!

We loved the atmosphere here! The flautas and loaded queso fries were delicious! However, I was not as impressed by my tacos. The fried chicken was a bit overcooked.

The food is this place taste Amazing. The flavor of each dish was on point. This place would of been 5 stars all the way but trouble with the bill forced me to place a 4 star instead of 5.

Had such a great experience at Bitter Honey! We tried out the loaded queso fries as an app which were ON POINT! We also got an order of flautas and a platter of 3 tacos all to share. So many amazing tastes and everything was perfectly proportioned flavor wise. I also got a classic margarita and it hit all the right spots. Not too boozy, not too salty, just right! Now, for the atmosphere- probably my favorite thing besides the food! Music is ALWAYS great (p.s they have a Spotify playlist you can download that is all sorts of wonderful). The lighting, art, and overall vibe works so well together. You can dress up or be super casual and fit in either way. Loved having dinner here and would highly recommend for drinks, apps, and/or full on dinner!

This place is legit and awesome! The el pastor, and the Carne asada are amazing. My friend got the Baha taco with Cole slaw and said it was life changing. 🤤The tacos are on real corn tortillas. They had an amazing habanero sauce that was fruity and delicious. Everything was house made. Great atmosphere, large space, would go again!

So the first thing that I would like to mention is that I appreciate the ambiance of Bitter Honey. Very dim. Casual, yet feels upscale. You can come in a three piece suit, or in nighttime pajamas and you'll still feel just as comfortable. The convenience of the parking lot across the street was a nice bonus.

We came as a group of 4. Our server, Emma, was fantastic. She got us our drinks and waters right away. The drinks were great, We enjoyed the margaritas that we chose. They didn't have any Patron so we decided to try to house Tequila Blanco. It was surprisingly smooth and didn't leave an aftertaste.

We took a little longer to order our entrees because we were busy talking and looking at all of the cool animal paintings on the walls of the dining room. I wish I had taken photos. Once we decided what we were eating (Tacos, of course - it was a Tuesday!) we waved her down and she took care of us.

The food came out within 15-20 minutes, not too long. The taste was phenomenal. I have been to Los Angeles and I have tasted some pretty outstanding Mexican tacos from authentic home-cooked, family-operated taco trucks, and these tacos definitely held their own. The tortillas were soft and warm, the beef was beautifully seasoned and garnished well with herbs and cheese.

All in all, I had a great time. We all did. And we plan to return.

Had a first date there the other night and the staff was INCREDIBLE and went above and beyond; not to mention the drink was delicious (I got the berry margarita and he got the Paloma) . Will have to try the food next time I go the bartender made it so comfortable for me at least being in an awkward first date situation!

Had a good night at Bitter Honey. Defiantly have to try one or more of their craft cocktails. The food is delicious and for me, more than I could eat. Get the street corn and any of the tacos!

Every time I go I pick a different cocktail and they are always an experience to be had! Try their Vega if you're into sweet and fruity drinks.

The tacos are also fantastic, I highly recommend the al pastor first and foremost, however, the other options are great too.

Pictured is the shrimp ceviche with avocado sauce and an al pastor taco and their flank steak taco.
