Wow!! I cannot say enough amazing things about this place. First of all, I am the LAST person in the world to be cool enough or knowledgeable enough to ever walk through a store like this. My idea of shopping and vacation is Sephora and the big city! However, I was blessed with a 10 year old son who loves to fish! We were on vacation and spent several days at Lime Lake. We went to the store a total of 3 times in 2 days. The staff spent significant (!!) time with us, helping us select the proper equipment (without breaking the bank, knowing we were flying home and would not be able to take anything with us). They engaged my son in some serious fish tales, took time to hear his passions, and paired bait with his goals. The entire time, I was completely out of my element, but so thankful for experts who could meet the needs of my kiddo. Never once did I feel ridiculous (for knowing nothing!), nor did i feel taken advantage of. I am a forever top fan of this store. Their “why” of pairing great materials with big outdoor dreams was evident in every interaction we had. Honestly, I would return to Lime Lake again because of them!

The guys at Machias Outdoors were extremely helpful in choosing a fishing pole for my daughter and for myself. Was also able to get my fishing license and get hooked up with some bait to fish on our vacation. They were very cordial and friendly. Even fixed the brand new pole that broke as we were leaving as my daughter closed the door on it. LOL. Highly recommend stopping in.

Mike is really committed to seeing that his customers are as successful as they can be in their endeavors - in my case, archery. Mike has given me tips and pointers and I know I'm much more confident than ever! Tara and Kevin are always ready with a smile and quick service as well.

And that's not to mention the wide selection of bows, firearms, and hunting and fishing gear! It's a fantastic place to shop - and it's right in downtown Machias! How cool is it that I don't have to drive into the suburbs for my outdoors needs!

And finally, it's a LOCAL business I get to support - and that makes me feel good shopping there. Check it out before your next trip to one of those big - box stores - you may be pleasantly surprised!

They are extremely customer focused! I give them my absolute highest rating. I recently bought a bow there and had it set up there. I am very pleased with the setup and the quality of the bow and accessories. Best selection in the area. Don't park in front of the house next store...the guy is an a__hole!

Always excited when I go to Machias Outdoors store because I never know what I am leaving with. They have an awesome selection of guns, archery, fishing equipment. Its like I'm a kid in a candy shop. Staff is very helpful and knowledgeable on all the equipment they offer, awesome to have a place like this in Arcade!

First time at this store and it was a great time. People working the counters were fantastic! They were full of knowledge and super friendly. Most definitely will go back to this shop! Highly recommend!

I had a problem with my bow rest starting to rip my arrow fletchings mid season. Could barely hit my target from 30yds. Walked in to machias in a pinch trying to get out for the afternoon. Instead of selling me a new rest, Mike made some adjustments as I shot the target next to the shop until he had my setup shooting perfect. On top of that, he charged me nothing. Highly recommend.

Mike and his wife are very nice people, Will give you the shirt off there back. I highly recommend anyone who loves the outdoors too at least stop and take a look at the inventory and experience the quality of people who will devote there time to your hunt,fish trapping needs! Guns if they don't have it they can get it, Ammo ALWAYS.

Very nice business. Owner and employee were very helpful. Both times my wife has went in they were very friendly and polite to her, they didn't treat her like she was just a dumb woman. I would recommend this business to everyone. Fair prices considering them trying to compete with Wal-Mart. Very satisfied with my experience there! 5-STARS

I have bought all my pistols (missed my chance at a 1 😥)from Machias Outdoors and love them. Everyone is always very helpful and friendly. When I have problems or just want to hold a gun Mike (the owner) or one of his people are always ready to help. Mike and I have learned a lot about some of the guns when I come in looking at what I want next.

Such an amazing place. The staff is so helpful and very knowledgeable on everything you could need. Upstairs they have a virtual archery range, which is very nice. Next to that the have a small range to practice on. We had an issue with the virtual system and they came up immedia5and fixed the issue. They were very pleasant and helpful.

Bought a bow here, and absolutely love it! Spent a little bit there, but had alot done that normal places wouldn't do, like sighting in, and getting the bow balanced. Great experience, and always great people when I go in. Always a wonderful experience!

I really liked this store, they are friendly, knowledgeable and not "pushy" to make a sale like the other Sportsmans store in Olean that I have been to. It's nice to be able to look around without being bothered by a salesperson, but they are there ready and willing to help and give you advice if you ask!

Great store and a couple awesome archery ranges. I'm so happy there is a store here that reminds me a little of the place that I used to walk around when I was a kid. Prices are very reasonable for the area and brands. Great selection of stuff for many different outdoor activities!
