The Standard, High Line

I am not one to typically leave reviews, but after my experience at this establishment I could not help myself.

I stayed for two nights at the Standard after being discharged from the hospital a few weeks ago following a medical emergency. Needless to say, I was looking to rest and recover before traveling back home as I live outside of NYC.

I will start by saying that the rooms are absolutely excellent. Comfortable, clean, and if you can get one of the riverview rooms, absolutely stunning views. The room service too was far above what I expected, I highly recommend the burger.

The amenities alone would have pushed me to give it 5 stars, but why really moved me was the service.

I was absolutely blown away by the genuine kindness and generosity afforded to me by the staff of this hotel. From the second I arrived, without disclosing my situation, they were attentive, thoughtful, and determined to give me the best experience possible. Steve in particular at the front desk was a blessing, ensuring that my stay was as smooth and restful as possible. I could not be more grateful for his help, along with the rest of the teams, during this time.

This will now be my go to hotel when traveling to NYC, and I will recommend it to everyone who asks for suggestions. Could not recommend higher.

My partner and I had an incredible stay at the Standard High Line. A prominent fixture of the Meatpacking District, the hotel is mere steps the High Line, Little Island, Pier 57, and so much more. The neighborhood is bustling, but not oppressive, and the on-site restaurants and bars offer a wide variety of fare and libations to suit any taste.

The vibe straddles chic and luxury with a healthy zest of playfulness. Rooms are comfortable, inviting, and well designed. Floor to ceiling windows flood the space with natural daylight and frame sweeping views from West Village to Lower Manhattan at night.

The property is overall superb. You'd be hard pressed to find a more welcoming property with the right balance of convenience, comfort and mirth.

Many options on the same block. Security is good. Rooms are modern and clean. Rooftop bars have an excellent view of the Hudson skyline. Beer garden is a great social. Food is decent but pricy. #perks

An amazing place to stay. The area is awesome with much to do. Definitely a safer area of the city and very upscale. The hotel left my boyfriend a happy birthday piece of cake which was so awesome and personable! Great prices on room service and super quick service with high quality foods and drinks. Will definitely be back.

2. Great amenities. Nothing was broken or dirty. A big bathtub and slippers were a plus.
3. Great interior design. The lobby, hallway and elevators have an interesting theme. The room was both luxurious and cozy.

The only minor problem was that the front desk did not have enough staffs, so checkin and checkout were slower than other hotels.

First time staying at the standard. It was truly a treat. Really clean and efficiently organized rooms. Lots to do in the hotel in terms of cocktails, breakfast lunch and dinner. Even grabbed a midnight cocktail before bed. Service was extremely attentive. Felt like I was at the four seasons. Easy safe neighborhood to walk around. We had Broadway ticks ad well as Madison Square Garden tix and it was east to get around. We’ll be back.

As a solo female traveler, I felt extremely safe in this hotel. The location within Meatpacking is perfect and quiet but accessible to the rest of both downtown and uptown. The rooms were quiet and clean, with very nice amenities. The front desk staff was great (shoutout Craig for being so welcoming!)

I stayed at this hotel and it was absolutely beautiful! The rooms are clean, the views are incredible, and the staff are helpful. Upon arriving, they let us know our room was close to the club. They accommodated us and moved us lower (which was great!). Later, we ordered room service and the food arrived extremely fast & it was so delicious! If you’re looking for a hotel to stay in the city, please consider The Standard!

Top Location. Top view from the rooms over the Hudson River direction to Downtown and Statue of Liberty. Many Space in the rooms. Clean. Best value for Money in this Area. Only the shower is not well solved without a shower door or curtain towards the corridor. So everything always gets wet.

Very clean, neat and luxurious hotel with lots to offer. Great gym on the 17th floor with a view. The rooms next to the Hudson has great views to the south of Manhattan as well as Jersey City right across. Fantastic service with a smile. Even fancy lifts with built-in screens on the side showing movie art. Hotel located within the fashion district. Can highly recommend.

We adored the location of The Standard New York, perfectly situated for easy access to the vibrant Meatpacking District and overlooking the picturesque High Line. It's an ideal spot for couples seeking a romantic getaway, with the stunning views of the High Line adding to the allure.

While the rooms were spacious and exuded a cozy ambiance, the layout might feel a bit intimate for families or coworkers. The bathroom's design is a tad unconventional, with a split layout that might not suit everyone's preferences. However, the beds were incredibly comfortable, providing a restful night's sleep akin to floating on a cloud.

Despite the bustling city outside, noise wasn't a significant issue, though our busy schedule may have contributed to that. The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating, making us wish we had brought our furry friend along, as the hotel is pet-friendly. We were pleasantly surprised by a complimentary upgrade thanks to our Amex Platinum card, and the thoughtful touch of having doggie treats available was a delightful bonus.

Overall, our stay was highly enjoyable, and we especially appreciated the convenient location. The Standard New York offers a unique and inviting atmosphere, perfect for couples looking for a cozy retreat in the heart of the city.

Best hotel in the city! I always stay here when I come to New York. Great area and lots to do around. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms overlook the Hudson. The staff is awesome! Ask for Mandy at the front she is the best and always takes care of me. Great customer service! I’ll be back for sure!

I recently enjoyed a fantastic staycation at The Standard Highline Hotel, and it was nothing short of amazing. The view from the hotel was absolutely phenomenal, offering breathtaking sights of the city skyline. Believe me when I say, as a native New Yorker, these views were absolutely stunning!!

The staff was incredibly attentive, ensuring that every aspect of our stay was comfortable and enjoyable from start to finish. Check-in was a breeze with warm welcomes from each staff member. Checking out was smooth and quick; I received a nice good morning text asking about my departure time, so there was no need to visit the front desk on my way out.. The amenities were top-notch, with the gym standing out as particularly impressive, providing a great space to stay active and unwind.

When it came to food options, the hotel did not disappoint. The variety was extensive, and the quality was superb, making for a delightful foodie experience throughout.

One of the highlights of the location was its proximity to the Highline of course & The Whitney Museum, just steps away from the hotel. This allowed us to enjoy an impromptu visit to the museum, adding an extra layer of cultural enrichment to our stay.

Overall, The Standard Highline Hotel offered an exceptional staycation experience, combining luxurious accommodations, outstanding amenities, and a prime location for exploring the city. Highly recommended!

We had a great time you could not ask for a better team of professionals to work with. Everyone was so helpful and accommodating. I would recommend for future stay. Weather are you traveling for? This lecture to Thompson is conveniently located to many attractions. Suggest Pierre block away. Famous Highline is steps away and overwhelming selection of bars and restaurants are just blocks away, and if you need to Apparel, your heart of district of high end fashion designers.

I stayed at the Standard for a 5-day work trip in late March and can't say enough wonderful things about the hotel staff, they were SO accommodating to my needs as a breastfeeding mom. David at the front desk was so helpful, going out of his way to get a tea kettle delivered to my room so I could have hot tea every night before bed. He was also WONDERFUL in ensuring I could keep my breastmilk refrigerated and ice packs frozen so I could get milk back home to my daughter safely. This was my second time at the Standard Highline and am sure it won't be my last! Thank you to the staff and especially David for going out of your way to help me on my work trip!

I love the Standard High Line. The location can't be beat, and the hotel is so much fun. The rooms aren't huge but the views more than make up for it. Love the restaurant, and especially love all the creative touches, like the animated windows in the elevators and giant Pokemon-inspired statues in the courtyard. The hotel is both upscale and whimsical, and the service was great, other than one sour woman at the check in desk, who was the exception.

I had the most amazing experience at The Standard - Highline. Shay and his team went above and beyond to make sure that my birthday trip was special (arranged for a sweet treat to be sent to my room). The view was incredible, the food was amazing, and the service was perfection. Will 100% be returning in the fall for another stay!

Hotel staff and service was exceptional.
The only negative point would address it to the Bar staff that seem more into looking at their phones or talking to each other rather than attenting guests.
From the moment I sat down at a table, it took over 15 min to be noticed by the staff, and that was only because I approached server and asked her if the Bar was open. Only then she asked for my order.
Overall, I loved the service, ambiance, and location of the hotel. Definitely a must to return.
