Not sure why this hotel doesn’t have more good reviews. Stayed 13 nights on a work trip and it was perfect. I emailed ahead to request a quiet room and it was secured super quickly, could not hear a thing. Rooms are large for nyc, modern, comfy and cleaned everyday without asking which isn’t always the case. Incredible location, all the staff were super smiley and went out of their way to be helpful and welcoming. Had a great stay, would definitely stay again x

Had a sensational stay at Hotel Indigo this past weekend. Service and hospitality were top notch, the rooms were surprisingly spacious, and the location was perfect for any south Manhattan adventures. Booked just a couple months ahead and the prices were surprisingly affordable.

10/10 would recommend and book again.

An amazing stay at the Hotel Indigo! The rooms were clean and recently updated, the beds and linens were very comfortable, the bathrooms in particular were quite large and updated, we had 3 women staying in a 2-queen room and we were really blown away by how much space we had, especially for New York standards! The staff was helpful and easy to work with, and even on the 10th floor we couldn’t hear anything from the rooftop bar when we were in our room. We all agreed we were very happy with the hotel, especially for their price point, and would stay there again. Definitely recommend!

Stayed over the Labor Day holiday weekend and our stay was phenomenal. There was a booking issue cause by IHG corporate side (not exactly sure how it works), but Jen, the Assistant Front Office Manager went above and beyond to ease my anxiety and make for a great stay after IHGs customer service really dropped the ball. Very thankful to her and would recommend the hotel and location in general.

What a great hotel! The service was great, the room was clean and pretty big for a New York hotel. There is a coffee shop turned popular club on the 15th floor so it can be a little loud on a Friday/Saturday night if you’re on the 14th or 16th floor. Great views of the city, a nice pool and it is in a great location. I will say it is one of the slowest elevators I’ve ever been around so definitely call that Uber/taxi early if you’re taking one! Overall, a great value for the price!

A weekend mother/daughter stay was enjoyed equally by both generations….from the welcoming, helpful staff to the quirky decor to the awesome views from the rooftop bar… to the spacious, immaculate room and bath to the nighttime quiet (in spite of a gala Bat Mitzvah being celebrated a few floors above us)…and the gracious barista in the mornings.
The location was perfect for what we had planned in this historic neighborhood we’d never explored in numerous trips to this vibrant city….the Tenement tours, walking the Brooklyn Bridge, the Eldridge Synagogue, the High Line …plus great neighborhood restaurants and terrific vegan ice cream. The Indigo is quite a gem… locating your floor number in the dark elevators is the only challenge.

We spent 4 nights here, I was slightly worried about the noise from the bar/club after reading reviews here but we honestly didn't hear a thing. I asked for a quiet room, we stayed on 7th floor and had peace and quiet. We used the bar one night before going our for dinner and only wished we had discovered it before! The views were amazing! Housekeeping were lovely (we had Jessica) and staff seemed helpful and accommodating. We're so glad we chose this area instead of Times Square, we discovered some amazing bars/places to eat that we wouldn't have if we stayed in the real tourist spot. Would definitely return - thank you.

Edit - the only slightly annoying thing is that on the website it says the amenity fee covers $20 mini bar credit, it actually gives you $10 a day (plus $10 towards in room service which we didn't use) so basically if in a couple you can only have one 'free' drink a day without being charged. Also, no one filled it up the whole time.

Before I decided to book my room here I was concerned: I’m a light sleeper, and the noise from the club mentioned in many reviews worry me. That being said, my first impression of the hotel was great. I reached out to the hotel before I arrived and expressed my concerns about the noises. AJ (the manager who kindly got back to me) is more than just kind, he’s so empathetic with my situation and said he’d see if he can move me to a more quiet room, although it’s not guaranteed. He was super sincere and genuine which already put me to ease. Upon me arriving at the lobby, Lashawn greeted me and acknowledged that she did see such notes from AJ under my reservation and it just so happened that they had a room that would bring me away from the noises. That first impression was already perfect.

Before I became an avid traveler and frequent conference-goer, I too was frustrated by some non-transparent fees such as resort or amenity fees. However, this seems to be the norm for most hotels I go to in big cities such as NYC, LA, Chicago…, etc. Also, during such a time when everything is getting more expensive, it shouldn’t be too surprising that maintenance costs for hotels are also on the rise. I don’t know if people would be happier if the hotel simply conceals such fees into their base rates which in the end would probably cost us the same thing as they charge us with all those additional fees. Once I learned that, all I do was to make sure I either read the breakdowns of fees if I book online or I ask for further clarification when I check in. And that’s exactly the treatment I got: Lashawn kindly explained to me details of different charges so I understand right away what I’m going to pay for. To me that’s just top-notch customer service right there.

Now, to the noise part, I did hear non-stop Taylor Swift music in my room but that wasn’t bothering me that much because the noise volume wasn’t crazy. I did bump into few groups of club-goers during my stay and I didn’t feel like there was any crazy wait at all as there was always at least one staff member guiding the guests and make sure everything is in order. There are many other hotels that are either adjacent to club/bar scenes and trust me when I said I’ve seen way worse situations. Also, there is in no way this hotel is hiding the fact that there’s a club in the same building because it’s clearly listed on their website. If that’s a concern for you, then maybe you should consider other locations or communicate with the hotel when you book with them. And honestly, I feel like I’ve had such an amazing stay at a hotel located in a cool and convenient area with almost everything around. The amenities and room are great and I almost overslept because their beds are just so comfy. If anything, I wish there’s a bathtub but I guess I can’t get everything I want, right? Kudos to AJ and Lashawn who went above and beyond just to make sure I enjoyed my stay. I’ll definitely come back next time I visit NYC.

Great location, in the heart of the “hustle and bustle”. Upon arriving, the front desk associate Ken was welcoming, and quickly recognized my platinum elite membership status. I was upgraded to the freedom tower view suite. Stay here to experience the real New York…

The hotel staff were super helpful!
Just note that this hotel is located in quick a noisy neighborhood full of nightlife. So if you are an early sleeper, maybe not the best location for you.
For us, it was perfect. So much bustling! Half a block to Katz which is convenient (that place get busy quick) and a couple blocks from the trainline.

Spacious rooms relative to other NYC hotels. Great view from breakfast on a higher floor. Rainforest shower head. Great location. Beat expectations.

Great hotel in an excellent location.
Close to public transport and a lot of nice places in walking distance.
Staff was very helpful and attentive throughout our four night stay and we would stay there again.

My recent stay at Hotel Indigo was truly delightful and incredibly enjoyable. This hotel is a must-stay for anyone looking to have a good time while travelling.

The highlight of our stay was undeniably the hotel's pool. It was not just a pool, it was an experience worth every penny spent. Whether you want to lounge around lazily in the cool water or host a fun and energetic party, the pool facilities at Hotel Indigo cater to it all.

As a party spot, it simply excelled. We were a group of girls who wanted a fun-filled getaway, and that's exactly what we got. The ambiance around the pool was lively and spirited, providing a perfect setting for our group to unwind and bond.

However, no experience is perfect and there's always room for improvement. One aspect that the hotel could definitely enhance is the attitude of its staff. While they were professional, the hospitality seemed a little reserved. A more welcoming and cheerful approach would greatly improve the overall experience.

Despite this minor drawback, Hotel Indigo's stellar amenities and vibrant atmosphere made our stay so enjoyable that we are definitely considering coming back for more. If you're in search of a place where fun meets comfort, Hotel Indigo should be on your list. Trust me, you won't regret it!

Absolutely Superb stay . Everything was perfectly sorted quickly , thanks to the 2 brilliant managers Milita and Jennifer -Both are extremely sharp, . friendly, warm & considerate -crucially, they’re proactive beyond the call , fixing any problems or mix ups immediately , and they follow up on all , calling exactly when they said they would, ( something I haven’t experienced in any hotel for many a year)to make sure you’re happy with changes made , extremely accommodating to every need and so on the ball. My mgr, who always stays there when in nyc & booked me in ,had told me they were the hotel’s jewels and that I must ask for them . She was spot on ! They fulfilled every request , moved me , upgraded to a larger room where no noise could be heard , just 2 floors above roof bar . Highly recommended !

TLDR: great location and friendly staff but be aware of the adjoining bar in the middle of hotel if you can’t sleep through loud music until 2AM on the weekends.

Great location, very friendly staff who checked this platinum elite in at 11:00. The room was spacious and clean, the pool was open and we used the space during our stay. The fitness room is nice to have as well. Great place to start your lower east side exploration and relatively cheap as well for New York hotels

Very nice hotel, extremely spacious for Manhattan standards. Very nicely appointed, comfy bed and friendly service. Love the views from the roof top bar.

Neighborhood is busy with plenty of bars and restaurants. The famous Katzs Delicatessen is on the corner. Highly recommend!

This is a great location with a great view. The hotel is very modern, and the rooms are also modern and up to date. I really enjoyed seeing the Freedom Tower and the Empire State from my room.
Pros: view, location, roomy bath, nice bed.
Cons:The mini bar is uber expensive, and they do not give you complimentary water.

Beautiful hotel! The checking was nice and smooth. I noticed the hotel has a rooftop pool same floor as the bar. The bar was lit on a Sunday night, and the drinks were a little pricey but good. The room was cute, and it had space compared to other hotels I have stayed in the city. The hotel is located ideally with everything nearby!
