West Rose

West Rose checks all of the boxes for either a fun night out with friends, a place to gather for a celebration, or a romantic evening with your loved one. The main floor features an open kitchen and bar that provides continuous entertainment, and the upstairs bar is a more casual social spot fitted with games and a projector to watch the game. The food is tremendous and although the menu is small, it brings out the best options the chef has to offer!

We had an amazing brunch at West Rose! Food was phenomenal and cool atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this place 10/10. My favorite restaurant in Ellicottville.

Stopped here while driving through the state for a quick dinner. The weather was amazing and they had a few outdoor tables on the sidewalk. Seems every restaurant in town serves pizza so we got a margarita to split between the two of us. It was really really good. Inside looked very clean and nice and the staff were friendly too. Definitely recommend!

Such a vibe! When my group arrived we were confused on why it looked so dark inside. Turns out the power was out. But west rose didn’t skip a beat, they had candles lighting the place and took full advantage of their wood burning pizza oven to continue serving customers. They even brought out a portable speaker and kept the music going. My group and I truly enjoyed ourselves!

P.s.-the espresso martinis did not disappoint

In Ellicottville to celebrate New Years weekend and wanted to get out to somewhere new. We heard about West Rose and wanted to check it out. We got a reservation in advance (highly recommended). On arrival we were greeted and seated promptly.

The space itself is clean (lot of white), trendy and unique. The long bar runs a good portion of the right side as you head to the ground level seating. A large brick oven pizza maker occupies the space adjacent to the bar where you can see staff creating and churning out their tasty pies, cooked to perfection.

Service was polite and on top of refilling water, getting additional drinks etc. There were only (2) restrooms on the ground level, which often had a line (as it was busy). A worthy note is that there are additional bathrooms directly below if you go down the adjacent stairs. You can also get a glimpse into the food prep cooking area.

Certainly warrants a visit if you are in the area. Dimly lit at night, comfortable and cozy.

AMAZING. Came here for brunch and got to downtown a bit earlier than we expected, we had a reservation for 12:15 and they were still willing and able to seat us at 11:30. The hostess noticed the note on my reservation we were in town for an anniversary, congratulated us and sat us at the chefs bar where you can eat and see the chefs prepare food.

We ordered mimosa, breakfast pizza, pancakes and the pork bowl. The services was excellent, the food was incredible and our waitress even brought us a celebratory rose to toast. Loved the aesthetic of the restaurant and it was nice chatting with one of the chefs. Can’t wait to go back here again and we’ll have to try dinner next time!

Best restaurant in EVL. The burger is the best I have ever had. Very trendy spot, this is a restaurant you find in a big city but not is a small ski town. I love this spot. Servers and bartenders all know their stuff too. So good!

We had a wonderful time at West Rose for our first dinner out upon arriving in Ellicottville. What a perfect spot! Ambience was great, service was outstanding with knowledgeable recommendations from our server. Food was delicious - the focaccia was definitely a highlight. Thank you for an excellent dining experience!

We had a triple date there and the food from appetizer to main course were awesome. Something as simple as almonds with special seasonings blew me away to start our appetizer. Then the tahini cauliflower was the bomb. My swordfish was perfectly done and the pizzas my friends ordered were as they put is “best pizza I ever had”. Top it off with amazing service from the sweetest staff.

Stopped in for brunch as we were passing through town. Very nice place! Service was great. We ordered coffee and a breakfast pizza. Pizza was perfect size for 2 people to share and tasted amazing!

Absolutely beautiful space. Love their sister spot the grange and the west rose did not disappoint. Great pizza (like at the grange)-tried the puttanesca one. Nice veggie sides as well! Look forward to going back often!

A cozy, but open space with a staff that works together smartly to make you feel welcome. The server really seemed to know the menu and the food very well. The salad was smartly made and the pizza was a tasty product of good dough and wood fired oven.
The decor was thoughtfulness the architecture highlights the old and historic elements of the space. The rounded door, the steel stairs, the exposed old brick, the custom bench along the wall, the solid surface tables, and great lighting make it a great intentional environment for those dining.

This was our favourite restaurant in Ellicottville, we came for supper and brunch. If you get a chance, sit at the bar and you can see all of the pizzas being made. The cocktails were fantastic. We also had pizza for supper and pancakes for brunch. Super friendly staff. We’ll definitely visit again.

Our experience was WONDERFUL! We HIGHLY recommend visiting West Rose. The ambiance is so romantic and the menu has.something for everyone! We were on our honeymoon and they provided us with the best table in the restaurant, complimentary bubbly, and the food and service was AMAZING! This is such a great addition to downtown and we will be back when we visit Ellicottville again.

Best restaurant in Buffalo and it’s not even in Bflo. Delicious food and drink with lots of flavor. We had the chicken liver mousse, brussel sprout special, spicy pizza, ice cream and clever cocktails! Fun ambiance and attentive staff.

We couldn’t decide where to go, since places are limited around the area. We were indecisive as so many reviews were a bit iffy for restaurants around the area. I must say we decided to try this out and it didn’t disappoint. We ordered the roasted cauliflower and 2 pizzas (spicy 5.0 and margherita). As for drinks, we got the “old maid” and house-made soda. DELICIOUS!!!! You should check it out!

Really enjoyed our brunch at West Rose. Our server and all of the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The wait time was well paced for seating, drinks and the meal.

I ordered the crispy patatas, which, while delicious, I highly recommend a salad with an acidic dressing as a side for some relief from the savory dish. That said, it was delicious. My partner ordered the pancakes with a side of eggs, which she enjoyed. Highly recommend their brunch.

The food was outstanding and the service was even better.
