I have dealt with the folks at this location several times. The owner is a very passionate about his business. He has worked very hard to create the business and maintain a clientele. He is also has very good knowledge about the subject of sporting firearms, firearms history and the New Hampshire Firearms community. He is also a very intense fellow who takes great umbrage with some of the less than positive comments here. After all, they are attacking his livelyhood and that of his employees, too. I have always found what he offers to sell to be excellent quality at a fair price. The folks who work for him are always very polite and willing to help with whatever you need or want relating to their trade. He also has some of the best firearms safety and physical security of any shop I have visited in the state. I may not agree with everything the management of this establishment says or does, but I do respect the hard work and dedication to running a business and the service he and his staff provide to the the lawful shooting public. Again, I have always been offered a fair price for quality items he sells. I repect the owner, his employees and his store. The others who have posted here, should extend the Alstead Gun Shop the same courtesy. In other words, walk a mile in their shoes...

When I worked in logistics and did a fair amount of business with them, Mr. Simino and Mr. Gagnon treated me with nothing but kindness and respect.
When I went to finally be a customer, they treated me with the same respect and kindness they always had.
Simply put, they are worth the drive.

I have been shopping here for over 10 years and was always treated well. I live in the area, and like to go window shopping during the week when they are less busy. I often come home with something. Contrary to some other reviews, I have observed the staff being quite patient with customers, particularly those who are unsure of what, if anything, they want to buy. Prices are competitive, and the used selection sometimes turns up something nice at a fair price.

I first visited Alstead Gun Shop years ago when I lived in the area. They have a great selection of modern firearms on hand, and usually have some beautiful and rare older items available. Their staff has always treated me with respect, happily answered my questions and have been more than willing to order whatever I desired if they did not have it in stock. I've since moved out of the area, but still call on them on a regular basis to procure and ship items to my local dealer. They have always treated me right.

Moved up here at the start of summer, and am pleased to find such an excellent gun store so close to my home. They have a good selection of rifles and pistols in stock, as well as a few oddities and unique items to keep the more discerning customer, such as myself, interested. Maybe a little too interested, as it's hard to leave the store without some dent in my wallet.

Beyond that, Tom and Scott have been great to work with, always answering my questions, communicating with me when I have orders coming in, etc.

I look forward to bringing them much more business in the future.

I recently purchased an engraved revolver from Alstead Gun Shop and was very pleased with the service I received. The gun was exactly as described, very well packaged and shipped quickly. I had several conversations with Tom that made me comfortable purchasing the revolver, sight unseen. I will certainly purchase from them again and recommend them to others. They are professional and helpful.

I stopped by the shop to ask some questions about in stock ammo. The two gentlemen working could not have been more helpful. They did not have any ammo I needed in stock.
Purchased some shot gun shells.
Again these guys are super friendly and are not your typical gun shop employees who know everything and continue to tell you how great they are and how stupid you must be.
Great purchase will look to them in the future.

Couldn't say enough good things about this place! Their website is FULL of great deals and discounts! Ordered my gun thru there and got it in 6 days. Tom (the owner I believe) was nothing but professional and friendly! Very informative and made me feel like a priority the second I stepped thru the door. Have been to every gun shop within 100 square miles and then some. If you want good service. Great selection and knowledge of products offered. Your looking at the right shop. Take the drive. You'll be happy.

I have known these men for 15 years and purchased more guns from Alstead then I could count. Always the best deals, they work hard to get rare items and they are always friendly. If you would like to buy a firearm from a shop that backs up the products they sell and have the knowledge to assist you this is your shop. Do not look any further then the Alstead Gun Shop if your serious about purchasing firearm related products. The best period! If you stop in say hello to Scott and Tom!!!

I had purchased an item from them BUT was having a problem with the rebate that came with the item. Tom Gagnon went "the extra mile" for me by contacting the vendor. Resending them all of my purchase information and the rebate forms and seeing that my rebate was properly processed. He did not have to do this but he took his time to make it right and see that I was a satisfied customer. I wish that other places would deliver that type of attention to me when I shop there.

As someone who was not raised around guns and a first time gun buyer, I have gone into the Alstead gun shop with a lot of curiosity and a little hesitation. With that said they always had time to answer all of my annoying questions and entertain my curiosity while making me feel comfortable in an overwhelming and daunting situation. They have a great selection of firearms at fair prices and if they dont have it they will do their best to get it for you. Great little gem of Alstead. Thanks guys.

I bought my first firearm at this store and was kind of nervous walking into a gun shop for the first time hearing how a lot of shop have unfriendly and rude owners/employees. Right away these guys made me feel at home and will answer any questions you have to help you out. Since then I've been to a few shops and have never had better service then alstead gun shop and will never go to another shop for ammo, firearms or questions. These guys have the all around knowledge to and respect for both first time buyers and those who have been dealing with firearms for a long time.

Very friendly and helpful they had a big selection of guns and ammunition.
