Restaurant at Smuttynose

We stopped by on a whim and was surprised there was live music and no wait. The food was delicious and they were very accommodating. The wait staff was on the ball, we got seated quickly and checked on often even though they were busy. Will definitely be going back.

Wow what a place! Dog friendly! Spacious patio.. Delicious food! My whole family enjoyed everything from pulled pork tacos, kids mac n cheese, burger, wings and oriental salad! Our server was wonderful and live music was great. You could still hold a conversation while enjoying music. Definitely recommend!

A must go-to spot for lunch or dinner when you are in Portsmouth / Exeter area. Fantastic huge outside patio area with great relaxed vibe. Everything I have tried on the menu has been fantastic.... Burgers, fish and chips, chicken wings, cheese steak sandwich, mixed salads, etc. The brewery always has a wide range of craft brews on tap. In addition, they have some limited release experimental batches which are always unique and tasty!

Amazing delicious food with emphasis on variety and quality. Unique dishes. Very comfortable restaurant with excellent ambience and very good service. Full service bar serves Smuttynose brews. Beautiful scenery with outdoor seating.

Awesome as usual. They ran a French toast (which they advised on line, see photo from them!) as a brunch special which paired perfect with the Old Brown Dog Wings. Like chicken-n-waffles, but Smuttynose style! ( They have done that too, but I liked the FT-and OBD wings better!)

We stopped by the Smuttynose brewery for lunch on the way back from Sunday River. You should go to the tasting room before the restaurant because they will give you a card for 4 tasting flights which you can exchange for a $3 drink at the restaurant. The restaurant was able to quickly seat our 10 person party and the staff was very attentive. I got the New England hot chicken sandwich which is a chicken and waffles inspired chicken sandwich. I highly recommend stopping by here if you are going to or coming from Maine.

Great food and great atmosphere! Smuttynose has expanded their restaurant menu over the past few years. You can build your own salads, burgers, and beer flights. Highly recommend going with a group of friends!

Friendly staff, beautiful atmosphere, and I like how they had a live band in the outdoor area. I recommend their wing appetizer. If you eat outdoors in the evening, be aware of all the mosquitoes! ):

I'm obsessed with the outdoor patio. They have fire pits, patio tables, and lighting and heaters so you can dine outside three seasons. Good beer and food and service.

Soo good! So many updates and upgrades to everything at Smuttynose! The restaurant has a great vibe - especially the patio in the summertime 👌🏼 this truffalo mac&cheese is wild! And always such a great beer lineup! The classics & tons of new stuff these days!

Love their beer. Great atmosphere and well staffed. Beer and food came out very quickly and was a pleasant experience. Sad that their Shoals pale ale was not on draft, but the ring king IPA was delightful.

Good food, great beer selection and our waiter, Kelly was the best. Love the fish sandwich.

Great place, live music, games available, disc golf, walk up bar and full service. Food is good, beer is decent, definitely a good time.

Great atmosphere, great food and great employees but, the seats are HORRIBLE to sit on and because of that, myself and about 20 others will not be going back there. The seats throw you back so far, it's not comfortable and the metal bar under your legs in the front causes a lot of pain to the back of your legs. Loved the place, but please get better chairs to sit in if you want repeat business!

What a place! Fire pits, live music, cornhole boards! Smores, too. Plenty to do and to eat and drink. Everyone was pretty happy with what they ordered. We had a large group of 14 people and our server was on top of everything. She kept up without skipping a beat.

Omg!!! Yes. This place is absolutely amazing!! We are from out of state and came to watch the conniption fits ( definitely an amazing performance!!!) by recommendation. The food, the venue, the atmosphere, our service and especially our server Kelly were absolutely outstanding. 10/10 would recommend!

Everything we ordered was fantastic! The wait staff were pleasant and inviting. The prices are reasonable. The food quality is excellent. Most importantly, the beer is great.

Missed the turn on the way in so stay yo the right getting off the freeway if your not a local as Google maps is wrong. Great beer. Great merch. Reasonable price. The restaurant was good and we got beers to bring back to Cali.

Great destination for a motorcycle tour. There is even a (small) dedicated area for your Harley in the parking lot.
The food is standard fried pub fare, previously frozen, and nothing to rave about, but it fills the hungry rider. The beers and the outdoor setting, even with Covid-safe social distancing in place, are worth the trip.
