Jo did my makeup for a photo shoot I’d planned with my newborn. I wanted to feel my best as a freshly postpartum Mom but not look overly glammed up for casual photos in our home.

First, the salon is stunning and well lit with natural light. The space is so enjoyable to be in.

Second, the cleanliness of everything- her tools, the space, everything, is so clean and it was so satisfying and reassuring to watch the way she works.

Third, the work itself (while not having the best pics- the shoot was about my baby not me 😜) was gorgeous. I felt so pretty and flawless. I recommend Jo to all my friends in the area looking for a makeup artist 😊

I can not say enough about JoLouise Beauty. They are the salon that I use for all of my services, and I travel an hour to them every time because their work is 10/10! They are flawless at what they do, work hard to fit your scheduling needs and go above and beyond to make sure you leave their salon looking your best! Their salon is stunning, vibes are always high and the people who work there are super down to earth and personable.

Naturally there was no one I would have trusted more for me and my girls for my wedding.. from the trial; to our wedding day the communication and professionalism was 10/10. My friends and I were facing some pretty unbelievable unexpected circumstances and the team came in with an unbelievable presence for our day off. Not to mention them stepping up and doing everything it took to help us find someone when our photographer cancelled on us 4 hours before our wedding. The entire team made everyone look stunning and also created such a laid back vibe where we all felt comfortable asking for what we wanted for our hair and makeup and making any minor adjustments that the girls wanted. And I don’t know what I would have done without them. They truly made our wedding day and I couldn’t love or recommend this business more!

Any brides in the New England area, STOP LOOKING FOR THE PERFECT SALON BECAUSE YOU JUST FOUND IT! I had not previously worked with their team and am so incredibly grateful to have landed on another excellent review about their salon. It caught my eye and I am hoping that my review will catch the eyes of other bridal parties. Their hair and makeup services were incredible. Each and every person loved their look so much and it stayed on ALL NIGHT. One of my bridesmaids had fallen asleep with her makeup on and woke up to it still looking PERFECT! Without any exaggeration at all, it looked like she had never gone to bed. They travel (longer distances for a fee) but I was married at Sky Meadows down a few minutes away and decided we wanted to use their beautiful salon for the day of. Their salon is bright and beautiful! We set up our breakfast spread and they got to work immediately. We all felt so relaxed and in excellent hands that morning. Thank you so very much to the entire team. I will absolutely be back for other services.

Kait G is my hair fairy godmother and Johanna is a lash wizard. The entire staff at JLB is so welcoming you truly feel like part of their little family while you are there. I leave every service feeling great and loving the results!

Jo Louise Beauty has been responsible for all my brow compliments for MANY years, as well as makeup applications for weddings I've been in. I can't wait to hire them for my own wedding makeup one day. TRULY the only ones I trust to keep it natural but glam at the same time.
The salon itself is a so welcoming, fun, & very comfortable (sometimes I don't want to leave lol!!)
P.S. The JLB lip stain...... is a gamechanger!!! You will wake up in the morning with it still on! <3

Jo did my makeup for a group photoshoot and I LOVED IT!! She gave me a dark bold look and it was everything I could have imagined. She created a comfortable work environment for me to express any of my needs, her additional staff was friendly and fun!

I used Jo Louise Beauty for my wedding makeup. I really loved working with the organization, but my one wish is that I had direct communication with the makeup artist, instead of all communication going through the owner. Maybe that was an option, but I didn't know about it!

Jazz did my mom's, bridal party's, and my makeup for the wedding. I loved how it all came out! She understood the vision of each person, whether it was simple, classic, or minimal. Jazz was on time, prepared with a variety of makeup (e.g. airbrush, foundation, colors for blush, lip, and eyes), and professional. She went above and beyond to constantly check in to make sure we liked the makeup. My airbrush makeup stayed on all day (90 degree weather) and all night! I did not have to touch it up at all!

Had a great experience with Johanna! She did my bridal makeup with my 4 bridesmaids and mother/mother in law. It came out exactly has I hoped (medium glam with lashes). My mother in law was nervous about getting too much makeup since she doesn’t wear any usually but even she was super pleased with how hers came out!

Recently visited On a whim and had my makeup done by Jo! She is literally a queen! My makeup came out better than I had ever expected and lasted all day and night. I was complemented many times. Will definitely be back!

Had an absolutely wonderful visit with Olivia last week! She was so attentive, kind and fun to spend an hour with! Was just like spending an hour with a friend, exactly what we need when we get our hair done. I can’t say enough good things about her or Jo Louise Beauty in general. I’ve gotten lash lift and tints from other place before and thought they were fine. I got one today from Johanna and was blown away!! She did an amazing job and had me speechless with how my lashes looked. I’ll only be going to her from now on

Johanna was amazing on my wedding day! She did my makeup as well as 10 bridesmaids/moms and everyone looked flawless. She got there on time and was very professional throughout the whole day and worked extremely hard to make sure everyone looked perfect. She was able to get everyone done on time and took special care with my flower girls to make them feel special. I would recommend JLB to anyone and everyone!

Jo Louise Beauty is THE BEST! I've known Johanna for a few years now, and she puts so much care into each client experience. When I started to plan my wedding, I knew she was the one for the job! While we pushed our big celebration to 2021 due to COVID, we decided to do a small elopement. I visited Jo in her studio that morning and she made me feel so confident and beautiful. The space is immaculate, and the team is well trained. I felt very safe there (amid a pandemic) and will absolutely be back soon. Thank you!

Kaitlin has been my hairdresser since 2008. She has always had the upmost professionalism and there is literally no one else I would ever trust with my hair! Her skills in highlights, balayage, styling and coloring are unmatched. I often refer to her as “The Queen of Darkness” because she gives my hair the deepest shiniest color and it always looks amazing! She maintains relationships with her clients and the amount of people that I have referred to her is endless. Going to Jo Louise is always such a great experience. The prices are fair, the staff is so friendly and accommodating and the atmosphere feels hip and luxurious, which is such a nice little get away for your appointment!! I would HIGHLY recommend Jo Louise and Kaitlin for all of your beauty and hair needs!!!

My husband and I just recently got married. For the wedding my mom, my sister, and I went to Jo Louise Beauty to have our hair and make-up done. All 3 of us were amazed by how beautiful we looked by the end of the appointment. The make-up was perfect for our skin tones and it came out looking stunning in pictures. Our hair looked like it came out of a movie. We could not have been happier with the result we got. Jo Louise is a master of her craft. She provides the best quality service and makes you feel/look stunning on the big day. She is friendly and super easy to talk to. I wanted it to “wow” my guests. I ended up doing a trial a few weeks before my wedding and my makeup came out gorgeous. On my wedding day, which was out of town, JoLouise was on time, very organized and did one hell of a job. She executed what I envisioned for my big day flawlessly. I was so pleased with the outcome and received compliments all night!! Jo Louise also helped transform the bridesmaids and my mother into such beauties. Despite hours of dancing, my makeup looked flawless by the end of the night. Overall she provided wonderful service and I would highly recommend her!!!! I, for one cannot wait to work with her again in the future!!

I have had nothing but great experiences with JLB. I first used them for my wedding six years ago. I had a consult with Jo that was so fun and allowed me to play around with looks before the big day. Jo and Tyler were the team that came on my wedding day and they made me feel so at ease. I’ve used the salon for both hair cuts and color since. Even when I moved to Maine, I ended up driving down to see Kate to do a color correction after a stylist in Maine botched a balayage. She fixed everything and I will only go to JLB for color now! I’ve found that the staff is always professional and easy to talk to. Highly recommend!
