I called and was told $85 for a face cord of wood. A face cord is one row that is 4 ft by 8 ft. They load it with a snow bucket, so I get that it is approximate. When I got the wood to the house and stacked it for my in-laws it only came out at one row 8ft long and only 32 inches high. That is only two-thirds of a face cord. I am disappointed. When I called to se if I could pick up a little more to get it close to a face cord he said "No". Even more disappointed. Even worse, I had to wait 45 minutes for him to load the wood because they were fixing their skid-steer loader bucket. Extremely disappointed.

I asked him to do a simple job that would take about three hours. I would have paid any price he asked. He responded with "No. I'm too busy. I've got my own wood to move". He wouldn't even listen to the details of the job. I asked him who else might do it and he told me to "call around. I don't make recommendations" and ended the conversation.
