Carter's Hamburgers

Carter’s feels like a relic from another era, but that’s part of the charm. Two elderly ladies were running the establishment when I visited, but things ran quite smoothly and they were friendly. It is a cash only establishment, but the prices are excellent. I ordered the double cheeseburger combo which came with a pop and fries. It was ready quite quickly, and was delicious without feeling excessive. The cheeseburger had just the right amount of melty cheese and toppings. I was very happy with my meal, and would definitely recommend Carter’s to others.

A quick u-turn on our way to five guys led us to this gem. The head chef with 60+ years experience had double cheeseburgers ready for us in no time. Heading down to Toledo right now... Might have to run back up there tomorrow morning for breakfast!

Delightful little diner. The hamburger was amazing. I love that they really grill the onions good! I intend to go back at least once more while I’m up here!

Nostalgic barely contains the feeling I get when coming here. Cash only with counter top seating. The night ladies will remember your face. Get yourself some burgers with fried onions and a milkshake. It's worth it.

Always a pleasure to see the ladies and grab a classic cheeseburger or coney. Best value in town.

A delightful place for classic burgers and hone made shakes!

The burgers with the fried onions was a nice touch, very delightful. The handmade shakes are really good! Best thing on their menu for sure. The fried were Ok, no salt so they were just alright.

Overall this place is a quiet and quaint dinner that serves classic foods that will be sure to brighten your day and make your belly full and warm. Definitely worth a stop and trying.

Also they only take cash so be prepared!!

I was born and raised in Dearborn but moved in 1982. Carter's burgers were always delicious. One of the best , always open. It's 2024 now and I still try make my own burgers the same way. Thanks Carter's hamburgers. You are awesome

The cheese burgers were on point. The onions are grilled to perfection. The fries were fresh out of the grease. The service was quick, fast, and on time. I didn't even make it out of the parking lot.

This place is pretty amazing. A step back into the old neighborhood diners. Long time staff. Tasty burgers. It's a great experience. These are the little places that need to be around forever.

Food was absolutely delicious. Had a nice old school dinner feel to it. They prepare the food as you watch. I had the big burger & loved it.

Not much to say other than they are slightly bigger than telway, bates or brays. And though they get a little greasy, they're sliders afterall, they don't end up being balls of mush by the time you get home, which has been the experience the last couple times at Bates. These are buy ten, maybe eight survive the ride home type of burgers. Always great.

Exactly what you would expect from an old school slider joint. Grease bundles of love wrapped in paper. I get cheese burgers from there 2-3 time a week

I absolutely would love to be buried with a carter's burger, every time I'm in the area I HAVE to stop and get something to eat. Only thing is you gotta bring cash, no electronic payment available here.

Came here for a quick lunch. This is an awesome, no frills, flat top diner spot! They even had a homemade cake on offer as a special the day I was there. I would recommend getting the malt extra thick if you get one.
