We can’t believe we didn’t come here sooner. The food is soooo good, and generous portions for a super reasonable price. I got the Grecian omelette—gyro meat with spinach, tomato, and feta cheese with tzatziki sauce on the side—it is the most amazing omelette I have ever had!! i swapped out the side of toast for lefse and it was also delicious. My daughter tried the tres leches French toast and son had the breakfast burger (both limited specials), and they both also loved their food. Our server was nice and knowledgeable and the restaurant clean and convenient. We highly recommend this restaurant for breakfast or brunch!!

Don't let its location fool you, this place is a wonderful option for breakfast. We came on a weekday morning and it was packed with elderly folks, so we knew we were in the right place. I got the French Toast Combo, which was more than filling. Service was quick, and the food was good, especially for the price.

This place is a solid cafe. I went for a late breakfast and was spoiled for great options when I pursued the menu. I ended up ordering Swedish pancakes and their wontons. Both were excellent. I will definitely keep this place in mind when going out with friends or family.

We loved our breakfast with coffee at the Bloomington Taste of Scandinavia. I enjoyed the farmer’s skillet; 3-eggs, red potatoes, bacon, onions, and cheddar cheese; and a Swedish pancake with syrup. My husband enjoyed his classic breakfast; 2-eggs, hash browns, bacon, and a regular pancake (instead of toast). Our waitress was very busy because the place was packed, nevertheless, she was attentive and promptly brought us more coffee, half n half, a box to go, and filled coffee cups to go at our request. We plan to return soon! ❤

This location is inside the Festival Foods grocery store. The food is sensational! Highly recommended if you love breakfast. The pancakes were awesome, but if you're thinking traditional fluffy buttermilk cakes, that is not what you'll get. Lefse and their potato sausage... delicious! They also showcase their bakery goods that you can buy up front.

We loved it here! Our waiter was super personable and welcoming. We got a seat right away and our food came out quickly and hot.
My hubby got the Scandinavian sampler. Super tasty! I loved the French toast (it looked so good I had to steal a bite. My Swedish meatball stroganoff was very filling and absolutely delicious. We greatly enjoyed our visit and will return!

The place didn't disappoint. With friends, I had the lefse with jelly, and the ligeonberry jam sandwich melt. It was my first time trying authentic Norwegian food, which felt like it was homemade. I am beyond impressed with this cafe, and the waitress was very friendly. Our food was brought over fast, and she asked us how our food was too without forgetting about getting us refills, too. The taste of Scandinavia is just amazing. Absolutely give this place a try.

Fantastic hidden gem offering a large menu with equally generous portions.

I had the salmon scramble, which included a whole filet atop a three-egg blend of cheese and peppers and a multigrain pancake…delicious.

Don’t let the entrance dissuade you, as you have to enter the grocery store first. However, the position of the restaurant allows you to dine without seeing the store. The menu, prices, and portions make the visit well worth it.

Located inside Festival foods, this is a great breakfast place!

We ordered Swedish pancakes and Swedish Pyttipana. I substituted toast with Lefse. The food was great and the price was roughly $12 a plate.

Our waitress, Mena, was very friendly and helpful! Great and fast service!

Fast seating, clean, fresh tasting food. I had a salmon scramble again, $13. Good price and a large portion of salmon.

The food here is very good! Pancakes are fluffy and delicious. The swedish wantons we're a hit. My table also got the lefse with fruit which was generously stuffed with fruit and a chicken lefse wrap which tastes great. You can get a good cup of coffee here too in a clean, calm, yet friendly atmosphere. Don't skip the bakery they're good too! It's inside a store and it was very nice for brunch.

Found this restaurant tucked in a grocerey store. Walk thru the doors and you get greated with smells of fresh backery, oh to die for, so very yummy. The foods have been always filling and delicious. Some times the restaurant to very loud and then it gets quite, because the cooks are doing there jobs and geting the food to the peps.

Bit of an interesting experience being in a sit-down diner that's joined to a grocery store, but overall it was a pleasant experience. Their grilled salmon was tender and flaky, and the lingonberries on the turkey melt were quite delicious.

One of the hardest things about ordering here is that there are so many delicious options! I always have a hard time deciding. It's one of my top places to go to for brunch. At my latest visit, I had the swedish wontons (they were SO GOOD--they should have this at the State Fair), the salmon scramble (great portion size and very tasty, and the dill sauce and salsa that came with it was a yummy combo), and I had their wild berry smoothie that they top with whip cream (also recommend)

I also enjoy their Norwegian lefsa breakfast and their sweet scandinavian lefse breakfast.

Oh, do try their hot chocolate.👌

Their cakes (made to order) are also wonderful and the price is reasonable with the quality and size of the cake you get. Recently I ordered their Hummingbird Torte. I tend to prefer "lighter" cakes and desserts rather than rich-tasting ones say like brownies or very chocolatey things...and this hits the spot. I was expecting the fruity flavors to be more apparent, but it's quite good and the cake is moist with a good ratio of cake to icing.

In store, you can buy various jams, like lingonberry, gooseberry, cloudberry (my fave), etc. They also have displays filled with various pastries and other sweets.

I've had only good experiences with the people who work there--kind, helpful, and friendly.

My Minnesota Wild Rice Omelette was absolutely delicious. The pico de gallo served with it was great, too. My daughter loved the pumpkin waffle. Servers were friendly, and we left with some cookies from the bakery!

Little gem hidden inside the grocery store. Food was awesome. Pictured is the Swedish Lefse breakfast and the Grecian omlette. Highly recommend both.

I have to admit, Bloomington Taste I have never been to. I have been to the North Oaks
and Roseville locations more than 25 and probably less than 50. Plus, purchased baked goods at Festival weekly. I moved to Rosemount a little over a year ago, for the quality and price, there is nothing even close. Wish you were here in Eagan, Apple Valley, or Rosemount. Festival in Farmington?

What an excellent hole in the wall cafe/restaurant! We were looking for something besides the normal IHOP/Denny's fare for breakfast, stumbled upon this, and gave it a second thought when seeing it was inside the grocery store located here. We decided to give it a shot and were not disappointed in doing so. We ordered the belgian waffle and normal breakfast items, as well as the Norwegian Lefse Breakfast and Chunky Cinnamon French Toast. All of the above were great, but especially the Lefse Breakfast and French Toast (pictured)! I don't make it to Minneapolis too often anymore but will be sure to stop by next time I'm in town.

Don't miss out on this hidden gem!
