The house is very nice. The couple running it are very professional but also friendly And will have a conversation about anything. They were very understanding to our situation and let us use amenities that I don't think were really intended for customer use. The location is great if you just want peace and quiet.

Also cannot say enough about the food. Pretty much all of it's homemade and worth eating until you are sick.

LOJ BNB is a place of peace, rest, great conversation among new friends, and a fabulous breakfast. We felt right at home with Paul and Sandy in their large farmhouse, and all our needs were cheerfully met. Wrap yourself up in one of their many cozy comforters and sit awhile and visit!

Great place to rest and relax. We wanted to visit the Big Rapids, MI area (hubby graduated from Ferris State in 1986) and found LOJ to be close by (about a 20 minute drive).

A couple of the resident barn cats came running out to greet us when we arrived, so that was a friendly welcome!

Paul and Sandy are so nice which made our stay even more pleasant. Sandy makes delicious breakfast and accommodating - hubby is diabetic so lots of protein for him and I love carbs so I got stuffed pancakes and baked French toast!

Rooms are very clean and generously supplied. We stayed in the Heritage room which has a private bath. This room was very comfortable.

I loved going downstairs in the morning for coffee while doing my devotional and journaling.

Plus we walked around the property and saw alpacas (theirs), buffalo (neighbors) and lots of deer. It was so quiet here.

Price is good, we paid about $210 for two nights.

Would definitely recommend LOJ for a relaxing getaway.

When you’re looking for lodging in the middle of the country and there’s no chain hotels, it is a breath of fresh air defined hospitality, cleanliness, excellent breakfast, and a comfortable bed to call home. My experience was excellent and I’m so glad it was located in the region that I was visiting for a few days.the host and hostess are very friendly, helpful and Sandy makes a delicious breakfast.

My wife and I had a great time staying here. Paul and Sandy are wonderful people and we thoroughly enjoyed our time spent here. Sandy made 2 STELLAR breakfasts for our 2 days of stay, far above any continental breakfast at a hotel. Paul showed us around and let us meet all the alpacas, chickens, turkeys, and other animals. They both were loads of fun to talk with throughout our stay and were knowledgeable about the area. We would love to stay here again and recommend it to anyone and everyone.

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at the LOJ BNB and I don't think we have ever had a better time anywhere else. The hosts (Paul & Sandy) were amazing, we did not feel like a guest, more like friends. The food was exceptional, the rooms were just beautiful and carefully done! This was a visit we will remember forever and can not wait to come back again! The farm was great to visit, lots of animals to see for miles. I would highly recommend you visit!

What a comfortable stay. I was here 3 nights visiting my son in a nearby town. I have never slept so well. The house is so quiet and the beds are so comfortable. The bathrooms are accommodating with plenty of hot water. The whole house is clean. The owners are so hospitable . I was very comfortable and got to stay 2 nights in 1 room and 1 night in another. Both were equally comfortable. Breakfasts were fantastic. I cannot recommend Paul and Sandy's place more highly.

Paul and Sandy are excellent hosts. My wife and I arrived late at night. Paul met us at the door and had us laughing (quietly) until we made it to our room. The breakfast was gluten free at my request for an allergy and the homemade compote for the apple pancakes was delicious. The fall decorations made us feel right at home. The room was comfortable, the other guests (who had stayed there before) were very friendly, and we wanted to leave with all the pets. The pictures don’t do it justice. No regrets and we hope to come back.

LOJ his a hidden gem. The room was immaculate, the food was delicious and comforting, and the hosts are charming. Petting alpacas the morning we left was an added bonus. Thanks to Paul and Sandy, the innkeepers, for sharing your home.

This is a little piece of paradise!! The family is sooo nice and made me feel very welcome in their home. The animals are a huge plus seeing as I am a huge animal lover. The place is clean, the bed was EXTREMELY comfortable. If only I could attach some pictures. Absolutely worth the stay! I just wish I could have stayed for more than one night!

The hosts were so accommodating! We stayed in the Higbee room with our family of 5. Huge room with comfortable beds. Everyone awoke refreshed. Breakfast was delicious with a nice blend of offerings. Then, before check out, we were given a guided tour of the alpaca farm that was the icing on the cake!! We will be sharing this gem with all family and friends. LOJ is in the middle of nowhere, halfway to somewhere. Enjoy!!

This is the best B&B I've ever tried !

Paul and Sandy are one of the nicest people I've ever met, so considerate and kind warm hearted.

Their place is so comfy, clean and peaceful. Just the right place to go away from everything in the world and have a peace of your mind.

And their company, you leave as family not guest anymore.

Sandy made such a great delicious breakfast, very fulfilling !

They also have a bunch of beautiful animals to enjoy their company, Paul was very nice to give us a tour for the animals.

They have Alpacas, Turkeys, Chickens, Cats, Rabbits, Horses, Bisons and Buffalos.

It's not just a B&B, it's a 5 star experience !

And their prices are super good too.

Me and my wife totally enjoyed it, and we are definitely coming back here again with no doubt !

My sister and I stayed here for the weekend last month when we were in a bind looking for a place to stay in the area. We were so happy to find this charming BNB! A very quiet and comfortable place to stay - we stayed in the Higbee room. We both enjoyed seeing the animals on the property and surrounding properties. Paul and Sandy are great hosts and conversationalists! And the breakfast is SO. GOOD. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the Canadian Lakes/Mecosta area. You won't regret it!

Had such an amazing stay here! The breakfast in the morning was perfect. Even though I was the only guest staying there over night, Sandy still made sure to have a whole array of breakfast food ready just for me! I would definitely recommend staying here whenever you're looking for a home away from home!

Just amazing. The facilities were perfect. The owners were amazing and very accommodating. The breakfast was homemade and very tasty. The area is very quiet surrounded by pastures with bison. I can only recommend it.

Best BNB by far, not just in the area but out of many states I visit. Best breakfast provided, very skilled chef in the kitchen! Accommodating and down to earth hosts that supply everything you need for a wonderful stay. Definitely recommend and will be back next time I am in the area!

Wonderful accommodations and an unbeatable value!

We booked last minute and were pleasantly surprised, accommodations were awesome and reasonably priced. We were able to see buffalo right from our room. They were so friendly and the breakfast was the best I have ever had. We definitely want to return.

The first time we have ever been in a BNB and we were a little hesitant about it but the owners made it such a comfortable experience. Our family was super interested in seeing the owners sheer their alpacas and the owners let us watch. Such a cool experience!
