Dean's Filling Station & Pizza Palace

Tired after long drive across the U.P. and needed a "full menu" place to please a group of Europeans unfamiliar with American style eats. As you can see they all tried Pizzas. EVERYONE was very happy with choices made. Service was accommodating to meet language barriers. Highly recommended.

I really loved this place!!!! My family and I got the mozzarella sticks, bbq ribs, chicken ranch pizza(?), the veggie lover's calzone, and the Mediterranean pizza. Highly highly recommend the chicken ranch of whatever it's called pizza everything else was just alright. But the service was 👍👍 the waitress was amazing and the price isn't bad either

Server was very helpful with vegan options. The vegan crust and cheese were delicious. So were the pretzel bites and we subbed marinara sauce for cheese.

Really good pizza, quick service, nice staff. The garlic parm crust is top notch. Definitely recommend.

Fantastic food, drinks and the service is wonderful!

We ordered carry out to eat in our hotel room after a long drive. The wait wasn’t bad at all maybe 25 minutes and the pizza was hot and absolutely delicious! The staff was so friendly and super accommodating. You can tell they are taking every precaution necessary to ensure delicious and safe food for anyone who dines in or gets carry out. If you want pizza this is the place! The crust is amazing! And they don’t skimp on toppings! Thanks for the amazing meal guys!

Friendly staff and good food! Our server did a great job taking care of our group of 11. The pizza and bread were freshly made and delicious. We ordered a salad, which was a little on the small side. But overall everything was very good. The prices are affordable for being in a tourist area.

Their pizza is great! The crust is delicious and the toppings where really good too. One of the best pizzas that I have had in a while. If it is lunchtime and I am driving through I will try to remember to order ahead and pick the food up. If you are in the area and want something to eat that the whole family will like please go here.

Visited this evening, Amanda was one of the friendliest, most attentive, and sweetest waitresses we have had in awhile. She made the experience almost, as good as the food. Pizza was wonderful. Artichoke spinach wantons were splendid, an excellent remake and even better then crab wantons. If your in Mackinaw City and love pizza I would definitely stop.

Every single thing was great! Such a friendly waiter who knew I loved ranch lol they make their own. The cheese bread was awesome and so was the pizza! They had the good little pepperoni that curled up. The menu was huge and everything I saw walk by looked great!

Winning! This is a GREAT pizza place. Granted, in South Florida, we do not have great pizza, but this place stands up to all the good ones I have had, including where I worked in high school. This spot is on par with great New York pizza. Maybe not the legendaries, and not quite the legendary AV Pizza in DC, but this is really, really good. Good bacon, good pepperoni, good crust, and REALLY good sauce. And hey, the owner still walks around and checks in with people, keeping an eye on his place.

This is the BEST pizza place on the mainland! We usually stay over on the island, but we have to come over to this excellent "mom& pop" pizza joint. We vacation up here every summer, for the last 10 years, and we dine here for lunch and/or dinner at least 4-6 times during the week.
My family loves how the "old man/original owner" is there every year, walking around greeting customers and entertaining the kids.
We have tried (just about) everything on the menu, and haven't been disappointed yet!

Have eaten there twice now while on tourist trips to the area. Both times the wait staff were great and the food was wonderful, it was legit good pizza.

The menu is large (not just pizza) and everyone can find something they want. Prices weren't bad considering it's location, right on the main drag in Mackinaw City. They also have a bar, and the bathrooms were clean.

We enjoyed eating here. The owner came out and talked with us for a little while to see how our meal was. It's a good pizza place with a fun atmosphere. I thought it was reasonably priced for the area considering you can go to just about any restaurant on the strip and easily expect $100 tab for two people. But this restaurant is much more reasonable to feed a family.

Quick service for how busy they can get. Has a full bar (beer, wine, liquor) which is awesome - you never see that with good pizza places. The atmosphere was very welcoming and relaxing. The food is decently priced and delicious.
