The Lighthouse Restaurant

We received a coupon from our hotel. But even without the coupon the prices are the same as the area. $16.99 for our meal. The sausage links aren't the typical small full of preservatives that a lot of restaurants use. These are larger and DELICIOUS!!! Worth it for me. And the waitress was very kind and good did a great job.

It's a very beautiful a nostalgic venue! Unfortunately someone got the last Lobster, but the food we ordered was excellent! On Thursday night they have an all-you-can-eat Cod and shrimp. I got a 14 oz prime rib. Used to say both the shrimp the Cod and the prime rib were cooked perfection! The Cod did not have a fishy odor and the shrimp were delicious. The prime rib was juicy and just melted in your mouth! The bread was freshly baked & melted in your mouth. We had stuffed mushrooms with crabmeat and mozzarella cheese sauteed in olive oil! I should have gotten seconds! Malinka was the manager and her service was wonderful she was a working manager and tended to our every need as well as John who was our server! I've never met such Pleasant people working at a restaurant before! Their service was over the top and made us feel right at home! The desert Melinka handmade an apple cobbler and a chocolate cake with raspberry sauce. Not only was the presentation perfect the desserts were mouth-wateringly delicious! I got 2 more to go. If you don't go anywhere else go to the lighthouse the food is pricey but it is more than worth the money you spend and the service is excellent!

AMAZING BREAKFAST! I got the veggie omelette with white toast and hash browns. The hash browns were seasoned to perfection and needed nothing extra added. The omelette was fluffy and filled with veggies and cheese. The toast was homemade (need I say more?). So worth stopping for!

As recommended by the front desk at the motel we stayed at, we went here for breakfast. The wait was about 10 minutes to get seated form the time we walked in the door, staff was friendly and efficient. A little pricey for the quantity of food on the plate, but the quality of the food was good and all seasoned to taste great.

Only breakfast for now at least, open 7am to 2pm.
Reviews were marginal at best, but I found this place fantastic.
Coffee was strong, our server Angela was great. 5 pieces of bacon with breakfast and perfect eggs.

Great breakfast. Google’s open/close times are not up-to-date for the summer 2021 season where the restaurant is only open for breakfast from 7am to 2pm due to being short staffed.

We had to wait 15 to 20 mins to get in and get seated. The line was confusing and disorganized, but due to the staffing issues, seems they seat 5 or 6 tables at once and then wait a while before seating the next round.

Our hotel across the street had a “buy one get one free” coupon for breakfast, but this only applies to a handful of items, we decided to forgo the coupon and order what we wanted rather than be restricted.

I had an omelette, my husband had the chicken & waffles. Food was great, and so was our server.

Their price is little high but worth it. We enjoyed our breakfast!

We visited Mackinac city and tried The Lighthouse restaurant for breakfast. We were not greeted, but instead just told to follow the girl. Sat us in a tiny corner booth with no room to move. When we asked her to sit elsewhere, she was rude and plopped the menus down on a table and said sit here. We were talking of leaving when our server greeted us and was extra pleasant. Her name was Angela. She was a native of Mackinac city. Now lives in New Orleans. We had her as a waitress the night before at The Dixie restaurant. She is an excellent server. She was very attentive and so very nice. We went back the next day just because of her. Angela deserves all the credit for the business that day! She is a great server and made our experience very enjoyable.

Great breakfast and friendly staff. I love this place and we go every year when we visit Mackinaw

My first experience at The Lighthouse Restaurant was a dream experience. My friend had a guarded attitude going in, having several years ago had a disheartening experience here. But the newly remodeled interior and quiet atmosphere started to make him think twice. Our meal was lovely. My Alaskan King Crab was delicious and generous. His Prime Rib was exactly the way he likes it, and generous, as well. Our wine was some of the best we have had, and our waitress was attentive and very sweet. Not only were we very pleased with our meal, but this restaurant is now on our "approved" list. We will spread the word!! Thank you for a lovely evening.

Food was very fresh and cooked well, 8 of us each ordered something different and we were all very pleased. Fuji apple dressing was sweet but so refreshing. Whitefish cooked to perfection. We had a nice visit with the chef who was gracious enough to discuss dishes with me. Homemade ice cream in so many fresh flavors. Prices did seem a little steep initially but in a tourist town with higher than normal prices for average food this place is exceptional! The new chef certainly has brought a nice, fresh change.

My husband and I went here last night. I ordered the crab and he ordered the whitefish with the lemon caper cream sauce. We each tasted each other's and it was delightful to say the least! The manager came around with desserts and was so nice making us feel like we were guests in her own home. We went back tonight to experience the same welcome. Prime rib this time and just as good. 5 stars for sure

My husband and I went there for our anniversary dinner and could not have been happier. Our food was delicious, and the service was great. I ordered the Parmesan Crusted a Chicken and he had the Surf and Turf which was one of the specials. Both dishes came with spaghetti squash and red potatoes in a really tasty cream sauce. Our waitress Marika was amazing! She was very attentive and helpful. I definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone in Mackinac.

My sister and I had a wonderful experience at the Lighthouse. We ate there several years ago and anxiously awaited our arrival so we could compare our visits. We were pleasantly surprised. The food was just as wonderful as we remember and the staff made us feel like family. What more could we ask for? A very pleasant evening.

We ordered carry out while staying in Mackinaw City. The food was excellent. My wife had the grilled salmon and I had a 10 oz. fillet. Both were cooked to perfection. I would highly recommend stopping in for dinner if you are in the area.

Me and my girlfriend came here for dinner during our vacation and our experience was absolutely fantastic. The restaurant had very nice and upscale furnishings and the wait staff gave it an extremely homey vibe and feel.

We had the escargot served in mushroom caps, which were really tender and delicious. My only thoughts were it was slightly salty due to the added cheese which I feel personally that the dish didn’t require but made it absolutely wonderful nevertheless.

I had the macadamia encrusted whitefish served with sphagetti squash and a baked potato which they substituted for me with house made French fries which were absolutely fantastic. The fish was incredibly delicate, fresh, and had a excellentlly made crust garnished with macadamia pieces.

My girlfriend got the whitefish served in a lemon capers cream sauce. The fish was succulent and the sauce was not over powered by the saltiness of capers, very well balanced! She was also “super happy” with the vegetable bread served with our very well made ceased salads. (It’s the little things sometimes :-) )

Our only regrets were that we had eaten so much that we didn’t save room for the house made desserts which were displayed by the restaurants pastry chef. It was a beautiful spread never the less.

I would recommend this to anyone looking for some beautifully made seafood!

Took our daughter and 4 grandkids to Mackinaw at the end of August. Lighthouse was just a few steps from out hotel. Amazing service. Delicious food. Our waitress “kasia” was terrific. Spent a few moments of her busy day to stop and acknowledge our 1 1/2 year old grandson. Even brought him some fruit. Will return to the Lighthouse when back in Mackinaw City.

Fantastic Service, Quick seating, quick servers and food felt like it came out right after we ordered. Was a all around great experience. We went back the next day and everything was fantastic.

Fabulous food, beautiful decor. Our waitress jump through hoops to make sure that we were well served even though she had a tour bus stop at the restaurant. It was very busy but yet we got superb service.

We had a wonderful dinner last evening. The salad was made with fresh greens and very tasty strawberries. My husbands white fish was moist, light and very well presented along with a baked potato. I tried the Pecan crusted Walleye. It was divine! The local and fresh vegetables that accompanied the main were delicious! Our waitress, Nikilynn, was very friendly and really went out of her way to make us feel very comfortable and cared for.
