Dean's Ice Cream

There was a line when we arrived but the workers were quick and polite! The icecream was wonderful and there was a lot of choices! Did not get to try the food, they close that part at 7pm but will be back to try! There was parking along the side of the building as well as a nice walk away across the river and along it. Also loved the playground just a minutes walk away.

Great food and ice cream, workers are so sweet, only problem is that the food is so good that the lines are so long!

Unfortunately I'm unable to consume dairy, but I enjoy their other foods.
21 shrimp & fries is a great price, tastes amazing, service is pleasant and quick.
Only bummer is that they are seasonal.

Homemade dairy-free ice cream! Tastes excellent! Great food, great ice cream. We got six shrimp dinners and split them with our kayaking group as well as our ice cream. Beautiful location next to a park along the Kalamazoo River

I've been coming here since I was a kid. The ice cream and shakes are always wonderful. I got A Monster shake made with Blue Moon ice cream. If you're not from around Michigan and have never had Blue Moon is very good and I've yet to find a way to truly describe it's awesome flavor.

The park next door on the riverfront is a very nice place to enjoy eating the great food offered here.

Super quick bite to eat. Husband and I had chili cheese fries and ice cream. Their peach ice cream was SUPER good. Nice cozy place sitting right on the river and in a small neighborhood. If I lived on that block I could see me walking up there every Friday for food and every Sunday for ice cream.

Edit 6/26/22: it's Sunday, and we went up there for ice cream again. It's the only place in Plainwell or Otsego we go for it.

Was craving a chili cheese dog big time. Their chili dogs do NOT disappoint. Really good chili! We've had their burgers and chicken tenders before, and we love those too. Their food is great quality! I'm not one who eats fast food either. This is much better quality than that!!! Great prices too!

Dean's Ice cream is sooo good! They have hand dipped fresh ice-cream. with a lot of ways to enjoy it. I would recommend the hot fudge with peanut butter sauce sundae or the Turtle Sundae. So good!

I love it. The bourbon vanilla ice cream was so good. I'll drive down an hour plus just to have it again.

I’ve never had a bad experience at this little ice cream place. They have plenty of choices and options to choose from, and always have friendly staff. They definitely get busy when they first open for the season and always have a good flow of customers on a hot day. Right next to a little park and a bridge-walk that goes over the Kalamazoo River - it’s a fantastic place to eat ice cream and enjoy the scenery. Always quite peaceful.

They have 44oz "monster" shakes and malts!! My husband was in heaven, he always wants a bigger shake and no one has compared to their size. They have apple dumplings, milkshakes, sundaes and so much more. Nice old coca cola decor inside by the exit, well taken care of. Staff was helpful and friendly and the location was very clean. No indoor seating but some outdoors. Located next to a park with a creek running through it, so very peaceful location to enjoy your desserts and a playground for the kiddies.

Homemade ice cream, freshly prepared food, fair prices. Great place to go.

Deans is quality. Plain and simple. Its a great location as well to hang out by the river and enjoy your treat! It can get busy in tourist season, plan your visit wisely!! Highly recommended! Enjoy!

The ice cream creations are always fabulous!! I got a brat, they used to used regular brats, but this time they had the ones that look like hotdogs and while I'm sure they're basically the same thing, I prefer the regular ones. That won't keep me from going back, the food is alway good and the staff is always friendly and helpful

Old fashioned ice cream with great service. Generous amount served, interesting flavors, fairly priced and excellent quality of ice cream. We visitrd on a Monday and there was a car show on the street. Fun!

My dog loves the sundaes here. Too bad it's closed for the season

This is a cool ice cream shop! They have a huge menu of ice cream options and food. They are located on the river and right next to the park.
