Staymaker Restaurant at Journeyman Distillery

Need a place to relax and enjoy home cooked meals with a phenomenal drink assortment then go no further than Staymaker. Feel ashamed we haven’t been there sooner. Meatloaf was outstanding and our drinks may be a tad small make it up for their incredible flavor. Give them a try and you will not be disappointed

We enjoy Journeyman whiskey but this was our first experience at the restaurant. Overall it was fantastic. Love the atmosphere, the wait staff was friendly and attentive, the drinks were excellent although a little on the small size for the price, and the food was delicious. I would say our only negative with the food would be that the fries seemed stale, like they had been sitting around and just kept warm. Tasty but stale. Glad we drove the hour to visit though. We will definitely come back. Oh, and just a note if you want to go there, if anyone in your party is hard of hearing, because of the warehouse style building it was quite loud and tough to hear others talk. Just FYI.

Service was amazing. We were throwing several drinks at the server and she was picking the one she thought we'd like. All the cocktails were super interesting.

Food was incredible. Burger had the perfect amount of sweet and savory. French fries were perfect. Detroit style pizza was well done.

All of the house liquors were great.

Such a great place. We had the pork kracklins and the brussel sprouts which were delicious. We each tried a different fight and a specialty drink. Our server, Geena, was super attentive and very kind.

It's so so food, but it's a great cocktails menu here. Very creative cocktails, different high balls, and great gin. No beers here, only they own products. Huge long bar and plenty of seats. Huge backyard and a lot of seats as well. Grab some cigar order a few cocktails. Enjoy all this in the backyard and play mini golf on good weather days.

We went to thier First Spring fest of the year and if your looking for a Rustic beautiful crafted place to Just relaxe and wind down or bring a group of friends and have an amazing time- This is the spot- The staff is absolutely outstanding and willing to meet your needs. They show true professionalism with a laid back feel. This makes me so happy that we have such an amazing place and I personally love the food and drinks. My Daughter and I had an amazing time. Always going to come back. 10 stars from me all the way across the board. ♡♡ Excellent

While I absolutely LOVE stopping in at the Staymaker, I will say that it's time for a menu update. That said, the Burrata is excellent!

Sure love this place! We have enjoyed our time here since the very early days of Journeyman! Always friendly and professional! Our server, Elizabeth, was charming! Can’t resist the Classic Old Fashioned, Trout Spread and the oh, so tasty Detroit style pepperoni and sausage pizza! Crispy cheese crust is outstanding!

Just off the main strip of sleepy Three Oaks, MI is a distillery and restaurant that has been there for many years. They offer tours and tastings, and has place for events like wedding reception. The main attraction, however, is the restaurant, which has solid cocktail menu, as one would expect, along with surprisingly excellent vegetarian items. This place is worth the drive from Chicago especially for a quick weekend trip with many lodging options at nearby New Buffalo.

There was a art and craft event happening and things were super busy! They were up to the task with great service and tasty food. The portabella cap was amazing!

Cool distillery with bar and restaurant. We sat at the bar and had a flight. Ordered food which was tasty and finished off with a 2 oz pour of bourbon to share. Very enjoyable stop if you are in the area of Three Oaks.

Pretty cool restaurant inside the distillery. They have several different types of old fashions you can try which I did. The original one has rye whiskey in it, which is something I really enjoy. I tried the tofu fried sandwich and both the vegetarian pizzas. Which were excellent. Highly recommend this restaurant if you're in the area.

Best brunch you’ll find anywhere in Michigan. The brunch cocktails are superb. I literally closed my eyes and picked a brunch item because everything just looked so good. We plan to come every other week since it’s about a 90 minute drive one way. Can’t say enough about the chicken and waffles, root beer float, hash, and the bagel board.

Overall I like everything about this restaurant but I do have one request for the management to address, please level out your dining tables. Every time I have dined here our table had excessive wobble. I understand the flooring is authentic but please add adjustable leveling feet to your tables. Thank you in advance.

We had burgers and drinks. We got the pit spitter burger with pork and added thier homemade BBQ. Whiskey flights are a must and some ocg cocktails. You are sitting next to the stills in a industrial looking room with many reclaimed items.

Great drinks and great food. We were taken here by a friend. Really cool place to eat and have drinks. I had the hanger steak. Cooked really well, and packed with some spice. Loved the cherry-spitter rye. Bought a bottle to bring home. The staff is very informative and helpful. Great service. Great destination dining spot.

Our dinner was so amazing. Every last bit was perfect and delicious. Our server was wonderful as well. Officially my favorite restaurant in SW Michigan!

This is a very interesting building with a cool industrial feel! We had the Old Country Goodness & the Specialty Flight. The Barrel Aged Bilberry Blackhearts Gin was my favorite. Very smooth...I even purchased a small bottle. They also have some frozen options that would be wonderful on a warmer day.
I would recommend stopping in to sample their spirits.

Glen was the best guide! He showed us the entire distillery and process, gave us the history, and explained each tasting in detail 👌 I wasn't a whiskey fan but he found a few I actually liked

Excellent food and service, beautiful inside and out. We happened upon this location on a drive to New Buffalo. Glad we found it!
