Vonderlieth Living Center

I highly recommend Vonderlieth. My mother lived there for several years. She had previously lived at a few other facilities that were supposedly "good" but they weren't nearly as nice as Vonderlieth.

The staff there is very caring and conscientious. They are kind and considerate. The care at the other facilities was subpar in comparison to Vonderlieth.

The facility itself is always clean and pleasant. Other homes she lived in always smelled of deodorizers in an attempt to mask bad odors.

I cannot recommend Vonderlieth highly enough.

I My mother’s time at Vonderlieth Living Center was phenomenal. The care and compassion the staff provided day in and day out was exceptional. Her required needs were constantly monitored and interaction with staff members was like a family environment. The medical and therapy staff services were excellent and ensured quality health care. The activities group always included and encouraged residents when possible to take advantage of and participate in daily arts/crafts, games, exercise, bingo, devotions, outside time, coffee time and musical concerts. The kitchen staff provided nutritional meals in a timely manner, special dietary needs and a family style environment. The facility’s cleanliness and the building’s mechanical operations is a tribute to those maintaining the facility. The laundry staff did an outstanding job ensuring residents clothing was washed, folded or hung in the closets in a timely manner with extra care. The administrative staff was quick to respond to questions and provide direction concerning insurance, Medicare, Medicaid and elder care issues. Monthly meetings were conducted with administrative staff to review residents medical, physical and mental conditions and develop a care plan for their continued well being. Another great practice at Vonderlieth is that staff will attempt to match roommates with common traits, interests and personalities to minimize stressful shared living accommodations. Thank you for the love and kindness show to my mother while in your care.

My Mom was on hospice care and needed a place to go for end of life care as she could not live alone like she had been. Everyone at Vonderlieth Living Center were fantastic to not only my Mom, but to the rest of our family. Donna and Lija made us feel welcome from the moment we met them. It was difficult for us to see our Mom decline but we knew that staff at Vonderlieth Living Center would take great care of her and they did not disappoint us. The facility is super clean and doesn't smell like some facilities do. Would not hesitate to recommend this facility to others.

Wonderful, professional and caring staff and administrators. Very clean and well maintained facility. We visited and compared several facilities before deciding that this is the right place for our loved one. It is a smaller facility in a small town, and the residents receive care on a friendly and personal level. Our family member looks and feels much better since living there for the past 8 months. They are very good at keeping us informed and engaged in her care. We feel very blessed that she is there! Staff and administrators are always available to help and answer any questions we have. We appreciate everyone there, and the overall positive atmosphere.

Vonderlieth was a perfect choice for my mom. They are always having events and doing projects to keep the residents active and happy. They are attentive to my moms special needs and are always welcoming to me and my family.

Words cannot describe the relief I feel knowing my mom is being so well cared for. Earlier this year my mom suffered an acute illness which required some skilled care so she could return home. My mom experienced first hand what it's like to receive very poor care at another faciltity, which resulted in another hospital stay. Fortunately, during this time, as my mom was recovering, I had the opportunity to meet Donna Kincade & take a tour at Vonderlieth. I knew that day this was a place that would care for my mom and I wouldn't have to worry about her. My mom loves it here. The staff is wonderful & the therapist are remarkable. My mom is recovering, happy & thriving. Thank you from the bottom of my ❤ !

My aunt was a resident at Vonderlieth for over 4 years before passing away 3 weeks ago.
I found the staff to be caring, thoughtful and responsive and the facility to be clean and well kept. They treated my aunt like family. I was so touched on her last day before passing as so many staff members came in to say goodbye and express their love for her. I will always be grateful for the love and care she received while there and would recommend Vonderlieth with no hesitation.

I am so happy with the special care and professional skill that my Mom receives at Vonderleith. The nurses and rest of the staff are angels providing the patience and kindness the residents need to make this a family environment. Donna Kinkade and Lija are always available to answer questions or needs. It is a beautiful facility and provides access to comfy visiting rooms for families and activities that friends and family can participate with their loved ones. Best of all I sleep well now knowing my Mom is in safe and friendly care.

Our Mom moved to Vonderlieth in June, 2021 from Decatur, and she couldn't be happier. She loves the Vonderlieth staff! Every time we visit, she comments how wonderful everyone is. And I notice this, too, when dealing with the staff - everyone is just so helpful. I would highly recommend this place to anyone needing long-term care.

This is a very caring, hospitable nursing home. My mother was there for 4 years and the staff and employees were fabulous to mom. They constantly called her by name and would tell her that they loved her. They treat family with respect and love as well. These people care for their residents deeply.

I absolutely love working at Vonderlieth Living Center! The staff provide kind and compassionate care to the residents, as well as with each other. The vibe of the building has a positive tone. The residents are interactive and fun on both the north and south hall! Our administrator is a strong leader who is kind but firm. I would encourage anyone to apply for employment here!

Not enough wonderful words can be said about Vonderlieth. Katy E is a great asset to their already great team. I can say that Vonderlieth has a tremendous staff that is caring, nurturing, and dedicated to the safety, healthy and happiness of all who live there.

This facility is a God send, the people are kind, the building is clean, the residents seem happy and engaged and the staff encourage them to stay out of their rooms. If you know someone who needs care I highly recommend them. Our stay was for hospice care, they were prompt with the medication and hygiene needs, most of the staff has been there for years and the kindness was above and beyond. You will not be disappointed.

My husband needed short term rehab from a hospital stay and no facility would take him but Vonderleith Living Center came through with a place for him. He was there for less than a month and returned to his home. While he was there got good care and staff was very caring.

I have worked here 4 years now. It's a great place to work. It makes me smile to see so much love, and compassion for our residents, not only from the wonderful nurses and cna's but from every department. I feel privileged to work with such wonderful caring people.

I’ve received Physical Therapy services at Vonderlieth after a sports injury. I have been able to rehab back to playing. It’s been super convenient to schedule around all of my activities and school. Would definitely recommend coming here to anyone!!

They are extremely helpful and helped us with my Dad. It is so peaceful, clean and everyone is happy there. Great place to have your loved ones at!!!

The medical staff does a wonderful job attending to all patients. I visit my mom often, and I always leave knowing she is well taken care of. All of the staff are always welcoming and there to answer any questions I may have.
You couldn't ask for a cleaner facility when it comes to nursing homes.
