Great place to visit while my brother was visiting from out of state. We were greeted at the door by a kind gentleman who gave us a tour of the building and shared his knowledge of Lincoln's history in Mt Pulaski and Central Illinois.

“You can’t handle the truth!”

Here’s the truth. My friend and I always saw the sign for the Mt. Pulaski Courthouse whenever we would drive down to Springfield or St. Louis to go exploring. It just happened on this day, we decided to make the small detour to check it out.

Not too surprisingly that when we arrived late in the afternoon, the courthouse was closed for the day. All we got to do was enjoy the beautiful weather while checking out the grounds around the courthouse and looking at the courthouse itself. It was fun to roam the grounds and see the relics they had out for display/viewing.

Check out the links below to have a history lesson on the courthouse and area itself. Maybe one day I will get to go back and see the inside instead of peeking through the windows from afar.
