Comfort Inn Crystal Lake - Algonquin

We had a lovely stay. When we came into the building it smelled clean. They apparently allow pets here, but thankfully no pet smells! The staff were all helpful and courteous. Lots of breakfast options, especially for a hotel/motel breakfast buffet. Cute little pool (maximum occupancy 24) with plenty of towels. Walking distance from Culver's and Honey Baked Ham.

Just wanted to drop a review real quick. I made reservations for two nights at the comfort Inn in Crystal Lake -Algonquin. I got distracted and forgot to cancel my reservations due to packing for a move. I have a dog and decided it was just easier to stay at the place we are moving from then to stay at a hotel. I talked to Suzanne and she was WONDERFUL!!! She understood my situation and did not charge me for the missed cancellation. Thank you so much for being forgiving, considering I cancelled 10 minutes before my check in. Whenever I do need to stay at a hotel, my choice is definitely Comfort Inn in Crystal Lake! Thank you once again! A very happy client!

Very pleasant stay, The staff was very friendly & polite.. Very nice & clean rooms. Quite and peaceful place to stay. Isn't far from shops & restaurants... Would stay again..

I was a bit nervous about staying in a new hotel. I usually have only one I stay in when I visit Illinois, but this one is my new favorite!
I will be staying here again.
The rooms are clean. The pool area was clean. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and we had no issues checking in.

Comfort Inn was Amazing and Respectful with there employees and services for our stay here for the weekend. Breakfast and there pool was great

I was here on an extend stay. The staff was friendly and over accommodated my needs. Not once did I ever feel unsafe, it's quiet at night and we can sleep.
Is clean and you never see a dirty floor.
It's pet friendly yet you never smell animals or hear them barking.
I thought the breakfast is work great large selection does hot and cold foods and breads. I heard Holiday Inn doesn't even have a hot breakfast.
Most people who travel here are on vacation or traveling for work or a lot of Truckers and they're grateful for a good night's sleep and I have some eggs and sausage,. an English muffin with cream cheese or huge waffles think that's pretty good for a reasonable rate.
I would definitely come back!
You can go stay at a pricey hotel and get pampered and have all your room service but for me this was just perfect I felt like I was had a five-star hotel.

Great homey staff. Room heater was a bit loud. Very clean hotel, and it smells good. You wouldn't even have known that it was pet friendly. Free breakfast. TV in the lobby. Great place.

This place is so nice and clean and comes with a couch! The staff is friendly and professional. Everything you want and need, from planet fitness, to food and entertainment is walking distance. Try the Honey Ham next to them! They give HUGE slices of fresh meat.
Bruce held my laptop for over a week, until I was able to return back. All in all, an excellent experience. Oh! They serve fresh popcorn too!

My wife and I went there for a quick get away and booked their hot tub room. It was a great time away and nice. We swam in the pool and used the hot tub a number of times. My wife liked the cookies at the front desk and we both liked the free breakfast with the bacon, eggs, potatoes and orange juice for breakfast. Suzanne and Jim gave us a "Crystal Lake Chamber" little extra nice deal. Thank you guys and we enjoyed it.

We have been coming here for 6 years. The rooms are very nice, always clean and very comfortable. The staff is very nice, especially house keeping. They will do anything for you here! The pool is clean and fun. We usually have it to ourselves. The breakfast is really nice. We enjoy the fireplace, cookiies, ciffe, cold water and popcorn in the lobby. Wed never go anywhere else! It's number 1 for us!

I have stayed at Crystal Lake Comfort Inn twice now, and both times I had a good experience. The staff was helpful, the rooms clean, and the food was good. My only complaint was something the hotel can't control - the noise outside my window! On the first visit, the trash dumpsters for the building behind the hotel were emptied before dawn, and the next time it sounded like a street sweeper was crossing the pavement at least twice outside the window (also before daylight!)

Not a bad location. Close to lots of shopping and dining. Good price, good staff although there was a mix up and someone did walk into my room and then I had to prove who I was to the front desk. I didn't like that, but it happens and the staff was very apologetic about an honest mistake. Breakfast wasn't actually terrible, pretty much what youd expect from a choice branded hotel. All in all, one little mistake won't ruin my opinion of them as im sure it doesn't happen often. Id stay there again if I ever needed to.

They were doing some work on the hotel but that didn’t bother us at all..the beds were good of course room showed signs of being older. But the front desk people were so sweet and the breakfast was the best. They even have someone in the room to help you out!!! We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

Very nice place. Great staff. Clean hotel, and most importantly clean rooms. We had a lovely room with a King sized bed, a small couch and coffee table, aling with a desk and two night stands. Small fridge, microwave, hair dryer and iron were also included. I highly recommend this place.

This place has been like a second home. I am in McHenry building a memory care facility. The staff has made my 9 month stay there fantastic. I have three months to go. I would highly recommend this Comfort inn. That goes for the breakfast,the room are clean and once again the staff is outstanding. Thanks

Great hotel! Very friendly staff always willing to go the extra mile to keep guest happy. Very affordability priced, clean modern rooms. Fast internet. I travel for a living and this comfort Inn is one I always come back too. Thanks James for your great hospitality.

CLEAN!!! We just got here but i must say how neat and clean this place is kept! Family road trip lots of rooms we have seen. This one by far the cleanest and well kept our room is! Thank you!!

Weekend visit with friends and family. Front staff was inviting. Lobby, hallway, room and areas were very clean. Close to restaurants, movie theatre and shopping. King suite extremely roomy for couple. Couch, vanity and room was laid-out well.

The hotel manager, Mr. Diller and his staff were very accommodating and professional. Excellent breakfast!! , clean, quiet and very comfortable room's. Highly recommended for this area.
