Tute's Bakery and Taqueria

Well, I saw some of the other guides mentioned Tute's, so when I came back by from people's choice with my granddaughters, we went inside! And man, did it smell delicious. So we bought a bunch of contraband, lol, and proceeded to gain a few pounds. My granddaughter's enjoyed it tremendously, and, so did I. We'll definitely go back. I need to try the tacos next time.

I love this place! The only place in town with delicious pan dulce. You can come in early morning, afternoon, or evening and the bakery has fresh bread ready. The bakery is connected to a Taqueria where my family had lunch. The tacos are delicious! After recently going to Mexico for a week, I was missing this place so much.

This place is always great. We've ordered 3 cakes from here, and they've all been amazing! Customer service is always pleasant. Everything baked here is delicious!!

OMG! Fire! Trust me, everything looks better in person. I had 4 pork tacos, and they were so good. Served with green and red sauces, limes, and covered with finely chopped cilantro and onions. I eat a lot, wait, A LOT of tacos and these take the cake! Haha. Speaking of cake, I'll be back for some cake and more tacos after baseball today!

This is the very Best place for pan dulce in Waukegan. I no longer live here, live in Florida But still order my granddaughter s birthday cakes from this place. Amazing cakes💗

Clean, good food, nice employees, good price. The smells are just as good as the Taste. Beautiful cakes and delicious doughnuts as well!

My favorite Mexican chocolate cake! Moist and rich but not too rich to where you feel horrible for eating the entire thing.

I think there’s a little hint of coconut in there somewhere..I keep forgetting to ask. Whatever they do to it, IT IS GOOD.

Nice lil bakery w all the Mexican sweets. To calm the craving of pan dulce. What I like the most is that they also serve Tacos, Tortas and Menudo!

I love going there for their pambazos.

Tute's Bakery made the cake for our wedding reception (3-tiered cake for 150-175 guests). They were very easy to work with and helped us make a custom cake that was a different combo for each tier, while also accommodating for the design we wanted. Our guests enjoyed the variety of flavor provided and even asked about where we ordered our cake. Thank you for the easy process and delicious cake!

I'm my humble opinion, this is the best bakery in Waukegan. The ladies are always super nice, and the bread is soft (even in the evening). Haven't tried the food yet, but will soon.

This is where I get all my Mexican sweet bread. It's always fresh and everyone there is friendly. If you haven't tried their hot food do yourself a favor and order something from there too. They have great Tacos and Tortas and even have weekend specials. Give them a try you won't regret it.

I love sweets and me finding this place is HEAVEN!! I went there thinking to just buy a donut but everything looked so delicious! I bought two slices of cake, chocolate donut with sprinkles( it was fresh courtesy of the nice young baker who offered me a fresh one) and a m&m brownie. Everything was beyond delicious! I later noticed they sold tacos on the other side and I came back a few hours later and bought a few and they were too beyond delicious! Tacos put me in food coma lol. Everyone was nice and had great customer service! I will definitely come back!

I love their bread. Always seems to beaded fresh when I go there. The staff is super friendly and I like how they offer samples of the bread before you buy. I am not a fan of sweet bread from panaderias, but I always buy and eat from Tute's. Can't go wrong with them.

Gotta love the fresh baked mexican sweet bread.

New to the area and been a while since we’ve had better than ok Mexican anything. Hubby had the Cuban torta and could not finish it as it was so big. I ordered the pork burrito and it was so good but also couldn’t finish it because it was so big. Ordered the asada tacos for my daughter and they were amazing. Yes I tried it. Will definitely be back. Hope my waistline can take it.

Big mistake, the asada tacos are excellent, the chicharron prensado gorditas a delight. You will not be disappointed.

I've literally never been in a better panaderia than this one. It is always PACKED with amazing fresh bread and they make the best Tortas Cubanas. The desserts look AMAZING too. Hands down the best ever.
