DoubleTree by Hilton Chicago - Schaumburg

I stayed here for a business trip for a week. There was a problem during check in that was on not on the hotel's side. Although the problem was on my side, the front desk person was very accommodating and made the check-in go smoothly. The shuttle was only available M- F from 7am – 11am. However, the manager made sure the shuttle was available to take me back to the hotel each day by personally picking me up. The manager went above and beyond to make my stay pleasant. All the staff, from the chamber maid to the manager, were very accommodating and made my stay pleasant.

Sam behind the front desk and Edward behind the bar provided excellent customer service! The hotel was undergoing construction but still fairly clean at the time of this review. A bunch of descent eats within walking distance. The fitness area is better than other hotels as they carry a little wider selection. I’d recommend staying here if your in the area.

I was there for the holidays. I was surprised when my room was cleaned on Christmas Eve. I called the front desk and was informed that the cleaning staff had two days off. I was honored to get fresh linen from the desk. I was happy that the cleaning staff had the day off. One young lady told me that she was the only one there and that a complimentary breakfast would be given on Christmas morning. That breakfast was awesome! I got to mention the warm cookie. It was yummy. Thanks, Doubletree!

The rooms were clean and spacious. Beds were comfortable and the shower didn’t lack water pressure. There’s nothing over the top and fancy about this hotel, which is perfectly fine when you just need a clean, safe place to sleep at night.

The staff alone made the trip worth it. Sam at the front desk was helpful and informational, with great customer service. Edward at the bar was very nice and personable. The staff represents the entire hotel, and these two individuals were amazing. 10/10 recommend.

Overall a really good experience. I can see why some would say the place or dated/old but it is kept up. The room was cold, the shower had good pressure, and it was quiet. What more would you want from a hotel. I came with family and even though it seemed that only one elevator was working, I would say again. Only problem was that my digital key didn't work, but I was able to get a physical one and had no problems after that.

Very nice room, clean, quit. Staff helped with some extra needs I had due to a broken leg and were very polite. There is evidence of wear and tear but it is kept up fairly well. Only issue was an elevator had square carpet pieces coming up and my cane got caught and tripped me up a bit. Front desk was informed.

Mayra in the breakfast area was very friendly and welcoming! Keep up the great work!

Dara at the front desk is incredibly helpful and kind. When I called to make a bit of a confusing reservation she was patient and efficient!

We have another reservation coming up in June so we will be back actually. And will update if anything changes or goes differently

As a bus tour operator, it is nice when someone from the hotel not only tells you where you can dump your trash, but actually collects the bags to discard. Great parking for motorcoaches. Rooms clean and comfy. Will definitely stay again.

Hotel was what you would expect from Hilton. Clean, friendly staff, nice rooms. Nothing out of the ordinary there. All good. However, I accidentally left a pair of boots in the closet, not realizing it until I returned home. I called the hotel the next day and Claire went out of her way to track down my boots and work with me to get them shipped home. She had the boots packaged up in a box before I could even get the shipping label emailed to her. That is outstanding customer service and yet another reason why I always try to stay at Hilton's when I can. Thank you!

This hotel made me feel like this is my home away from home!
I was very pleased with the room, the condition of the property and most importantly the staff!
Everything was great!

Good value with clean rooms. We traveled with a group of 85 people and they prepared an excellent breakfast that everyone enjoyed. We were welcomed with cookies upon check in also. What more can you get from a hotel stay?

Double Tree Hilton in Schaumburg might be one of the nicest small market hotels I've had the pleasure of staying in. Conveniently located near all of Schaumburg's shops and restaurants it was a breeze getting around.

Beautiful decor: From the small yet stylish lobby to our room's bathroom, you can definitely see the effort put forth. They also have a small market located in the lobby, no ugly vending machines here, where what you purchase gets charged right to your room.
Have to mention how clean everything was, spotless! You'd be surprised at what's out there, Double Tree is in a class of it's own.

Comfort: The swing chairs in the front lobby are sure to keep you comfortably occupied while you wait for your room.
Our mattress might have been the best I've slept in outside of our own. Not to firm but not soft, have to say it was perfect.

Only things I did not like was the parking lot that needs some work and the television situation. Like most hotels the remote barely works.

Double Tree Hilton will be my first choice from now on when needing an overnight stay somewhere.

Excellent property! We were upgraded to a corner room with an awesome view! Very clean and updated. The breakfast buffet was delicious! Lots of variety. Wonderful staff! Free parking. Highly recommend. 👍

I was very pleased with my stay here. I not only stayed here but also held an event. The staff, specifically Cindy and Tom made my experience one to remember. They made sure we had everything we needed and that we were happy at all times. Cindy made is feel so comfortable that we felt like we knew her personally. Thank you so much guys! I will be back!

Rooms are extremely quiet, crisp, clean, modern with a large hdtv. Room service was super tasty and cookies were excellent. Gym is bigger than a box and big improvement over most Hilton properties. Everything to keep a business traveler happy.

I do wish they offered coffee all day long (they serve only in the mornings and I was hoping to have some after lunch). Also, they don't have a designated business area for people looking for a quiet space to work outside of the room.

Overall, service is great and friendly. Conveniently located near the mall as well which has great options for lunch and dinner.

This was a very classy looking hotel. Unfortunately somebody on the floor that I was staying on was smoking and I complained to the front desk and they made sure to aerate and spray down the hallway. when my room was not satisfactory they were willing to move me to a more comfortable room free of charge. And when there was a confusion about my bill I called and Kammel (I hope I didn't spell his name wrong) explained the problem and worked it out for me to my full satisfaction. I would stay here again. Wonderful customer service!
