My fiancé and I were browsing furniture stores for the perfect couch for our family room in our new house. We searched the usual furniture stores but we couldn't find anything we quite liked until we stumbled upon Penny Mustard and decided to give them a try. We were greeted by Kim and it instantly felt like we were talking to a family member instead of an intimidating salesperson. Kim was very helpful and knowledgable into helping us find the perfect couch. So helpful, in fact, that my fiancé was also able to find a recliner for himself for the family room as well! Penny Mustard, I would say, is a place where "you get what you pay for." The couch quality was marvelous and so soft and it's clearly made to last. I was surprised at the amount of color/material options for each piece of furniture. Overall, very happy with the purchases and our home finally feels cozy!

The minute my wife and I walked into the store and met Janice we felt like family. She was wonderful to work with. She took the time to get to know us, and what we were looking to achieve with our furniture purchase. She is extremely knowledgeable and was very helpful in explaining all of the various options available. From purchase, to delivery, to set-up our experience was flawless. I wanted to thank and compliment Janice Czerwonka, General Manager of the Schaumburg showroom and Dolshore B and Mike of customer service with getting two of our five-year-old Elran recliners fixed under warranty. The electric reclining function had become extremely balky over the years. Despite the age of the units, the parts and labor were covered without charge to us as a warranty claim. The parts had to be ordered from Canada and supply chain issues delayed repair, but the Penny Mustard team was persistent and got it done. The recliners work perfectly again now. Thank you!!

We cannot begin to describe how remarkable our experience was at Penny Mustard and in particular, with Kim Markman. She immediately understood our vision and made us feel like we were the only people in the showroom. She was patient and really partnered with us to customize our selections. She has great design skills and understanding. The showroom was beautiful and tastefully staged. Penny Mustard will be our new "go to" furniture store and Kim Markman is our new favorite designer. My wife and I recently bought some bedroom furniture from Penny Mustard at the Schaumburg location. The Sales Consultant we worked with was Kim Markman, and we could not be happier with the service she provided. Kim spent 5-10 mins with us at first to share some helpful info on the options available, but then she did what most showroom sales people don't do...she actually left us alone to shop around instead of hounding us.

Then about 30-40 mins later we circled back with her and she answered all our questions, and provided very helpful opinions to help us decide which bedroom set we liked best. Investing in high quality expensive furniture that you will have forever is a tough decision, but Kim made it much easier for us!

It started in working with the sales consultant/designer Lynnanne Bernstein. She allowed me to navigate the decision process in a way that there was no pressure. I was able to leverage her strong knowledge and design skills in my research and selections to get what I was looking for and very happy with what I have. The quality of the furniture is top notch!

In working with the customer service and delivery teams they were very responsive and respectful. They addressed some minor items that needed to be fixed after I reviewed the furniture. Penny Mustard may be at a higher price point, but the experience they provide is well worth it!

My Husband and I walked into Penny Mustard with a idea of what we were looking for. We were greeted with a warm welcome from the General Manager. From there it just felt like a friendly conversation with a friend. She made us feel like we were so welcome and at home. She showed us some options and from there went over the configurations with us, helped us pick the pieces to fit our needs and went over quality of the furntiure. I am beyond impressed with the staff at this store. You will not find any pushy sales ppl here, instead you will find ppl who gen really want to help you and who care. We will be coming in with in the next couple of weeks to put our down payment and order our furntiure from them.
Id also like to add that I came to this store when I was a lot younger, in my teens and was interested in purchasing a new bedroom set. I was greeted warmly and the gentlemen I worked with took his time and worked with me demenstrating the craftmenship of the product and some of the perks. It didnt matter how old I was. I was given the same respect that a adult was. After I found out the prices of the furnture (you pay for quality) I apoligized to the staff member and told him I could not afford the pieces. He smiled at me and said that is ok Please keep us in mind for future purposes and we are always here to answer any questioins. From that day I vowed when I could afford my dream furntiure I would purchase from Penny Mustard (then it was PM) We finally are!!!!

Great experience. Great staff. Great furniture. My wife and I recently purchased a sectional and ottoman at Penny Mustard. Our sales person Kim Markman was awesome. She offered great suggestions, had an answer or idea for every one of our questions, and was overall super helpful. Never pushy and really helped us find exactly what we were looking for.

REAL furniture made with your choice of wood, stain and hardware! Dean Kurth at the Schaumburg store is pleasant and very knowledgeable. No pushy sales routine, just the facts. Total lifetime warranty of all furniture!

We ordered a chair a few years ago. It is the most comfortable chair. The Sales staff was great. We wanted another chair just like the first one, but it was discontinued. The sales person was very helpful with suggestions. So eventually we drove from Tennessee to Schaumburg Illinois to look and see what was available and ordered a new chair, ottoman and throw pillows. They are so accommodating and helpful. We would suggest to everyone to visit Penny Mustard and the staff for your home furnishing needs. The quality is very high which is hard to find elsewhere.

I bought my new mattress from the sweetest most knowledgeable little thing and her name was Joanne. Although I already knew what I wanted she insisted I lay on her recommendations after asking me some sleep questions to make sure I was making the right choice for myself. After agreeing to lay on a few beds for about 15 minutes each… She was right and I had changed my mind. My new bed arrived this past Saturday, my delivery guys were awesome, and I couldn’t be happier. Highly recommended! Thank u so much.

My wife and I were very impressed and thankful for the service we received at Penny Mustard in Schaumburg. Kim, our salesperson, gave us her undivided attention and patience for two hours as we selected a sofa and then a different model love seat. There are many options for the furniture and included pillows and of course fabric selection is critical.

Kim was extremely knowledgeable and was not afraid to offer her opinion without being overly forceful. In the end, we went with her advice when narrowing down our fabrics and are glad we did. The outcome was much better than our original inclination. Kim was a pleasure to work with.

Penny Mustard is not inexpensive but you get what you pay for. We had first stopped at Toms Price Furniture and left after 15 minutes. Their prices are through the roof. Our next stop was Macy's Furniture. Their prices were very reasonable but the store was a disaster, possibly due to Covid-19 disruption but still! Little pride was shown. Penny Mustard's prices fell in the upper half of the middle between the two but we believe we got excellent quality and service for the price.

Since everything is custom made we waited 6 weeks for delivery but it was well worth it. The furniture is beautiful and as high quality as the store floor samples. We are very pleased.

We had been looking for just the right chairs for our new living room and just happened to drive by Penny Mustard in Schaumburg. The furniture is expensive but being able to customize every detail and not just get what you see in the floor makes it worth it. The handcrafting of the chairs (local craftsman) makes them even more worth it. We were Angelinas first sale and she was great. Very patient with the process of picking everything out and making sure we knew all our options.

After the purchase they were very good at keeping us informed about the process and delivery times. The chairs arrived on time. The delivery team was very professional and super polite. The chairs look amazing and we are very happy with them.

I just received my new couch and chair today and I am very happy with them, and the whole experience. They got here a few weeks ahead of the original delivery estimate, which I appreciate especially considering it's holiday time. Working with Joanne Marinakis at the Penny Mustard Schaumburg store was a delight. She had a great perspective and helped me run through a few different ideas in figuring out a good solution for what I wanted. Delivery was very well done.

Had a great experience shopping for a new couch and 2 swivel chairs for our living room. Tom Stanil was a great help with choosing the color for the couch and helping to choose a coordinating fabric for the swivel chairs. He was patient with how long it was taking for us to make the decision. We never felt rushed. We love our new furniture, so comfortable, so pretty and a great value for what we purchased. Would happily recommend Penny Mustard to our family and friends.

We recently purchased a new home and decided to buy new furniture for our house. We met with Kim, a sales consultant, who was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and patient in helping us find the furniture that was appropriate for our home. It took several visits to the store before we made our final purchases, and throughout that time she remained extremely attentive and patient in assisting us. Kim was genuinely concerned with making us happy with our choices. We are very grateful that Kim helped to make our shopping experience go smoothly and seamlessly.

We had an unfortunate experience at another furniture store. We did a ton of research and ended up at Penny Mustard! Janice and Tom were super nice and definitely patient! We wanted to be sure we were getting a quality mattress with a great warranty after our previous situation!

What we ended up with has been a blessing! It's been just two weeks... We're sleeping better, the hub's snoring is 1/3 what it was, and we haven't even gotten used to the mattress yet!

Working with Kim M. at Penny Mustard’s in Schaumburg, IL, was a 5-star experience and we finally found the dining set of our dreams! Kim provided the attentive help we needed and shared her knowledge about the quality of all their furniture. It is unlike any other furniture store because everything is custom made by skilled craftsmen in USA. Nowadays, that’s rare and totally impressive! You can choose the wood (solid, NOT particle board or veneers!), stain, and fabrics you’d like. For us, we ordered a solid maple wood dining table in the stain of our choice with 6 upholstered chairs in the fabric of our choice.
The table is uniquely shaped - 72” boat rectangle with beveled edges. Absolutely gorgeous (a showpiece!), plus durable (NOT wobbly!) for everyday use. Our furniture is absolutely stunning! So beautiful ad excellent quality! We just had it delivered 11/6/2020 and very comfortable. I already told my husband if the furniture is still comfortable as time goes on Penny Mustard will stay our furniture provider! The delivery guys were very nice too!

I’ve been wanting a bedroom set for a while and didn’t want to purchase the usual poor quality furniture. My dad suggested penny mustard, and so glad I went. I had Ericka assist me and walked me through the whole process. She was great, very patient, and answered all my questions. I was nervous since everything was a lot more expensive then the usual, but the quality is amazing and Im very excited I went through with my purchase, I will have something that will last me a long time. I absolutely loved the quality of the furniture, hopefully one day I can afford to buy some more haha. So far I’ve experienced great customer service, 10/10 would recommend.
